We Stayed at Joan's property back in early November and had a wonderful time!! The house is just beautiful!! Everything was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend. We were traveling with our teenage boys and our older parents so the elevator came in handy. Bikes are in perfect condition and we had a blast riding on the towpath. Can't wait to visit again!!
We stayed over the New Year. Lovely and quiet place to get work done. Near Ringing Rocks and Frenchtown for culture and tourism. Good parking. Lovely fireplace. LARGE kitchen very useful for all the gang. Hope to stay there again.
This house was great for a long family (multi-generational) weekend... even when the weather didn't fully cooperate! When cold and rainy, we stayed by the fire and enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the lovely views of the river and all the fall color. When the sun came out, we biked, kayaked, canoed and enjoyed walks on the towpath down to the historic town of Upper Black Eddy and across the bridge over the Delaware River to Milford, NJ. Since my daughter came complete with a bag of dirty clothes from school, the washer and dryer were very welcome! The elevator certainly made getting groceries and luggage up and downstairs simple and my mom appreciated it, especially at the end of a busy day outdoors. The owner was very informative and she made the arrangements easy. We hope to be back!
This property is a beauty. The house sits overlooking the river, with a deck and dock to enjoy. It is so well appointed and stocked for a family or couples get away. We celebrated a special birthday with friends. The house is beautifully decorated and user friendly. Each bedroom has a bathroom and the kitchen, dining area are open and easy to use. We had great weather and really enjoyed the bikes and the tow path. We also used the canoe and kayaks. Dining and French town were within a bike ride. We ate brunch on the deck overlooking the river Sunday morning to make our weekend complete. This is a wonderful getaway location.
We rented this beautiful home for a week-end family get together for my husband's 60th birthday. Our 3 children, who live all over the country, came & we were able to spend a beautiful week-end together. The kitchen was large & well appointed and able to accommodate multiple cooks. The decks & views were awesome. We could eat outside overlooking the river and it's beautiful view of the mountain across the river. It didn't hurt that the leaves were changing & the weather was sunny and warm. It's an absolutely perfect location. The kids took the kayaks out on the river. Dinner one evening was a short drive to Frenchtown just across the river to New Jersey. Later that evening as things cooled off a bit & we hung out around the fire pit. It was an absolutely perfect and memorial week-end. celebration. Definitely would do it again. Next time, ladies week-end away!
This house was perfect for a multi-generational long weekend. Too many possibilities for the time that we had! Even though the weather didn't totally cooperate on one out of 4 days, the well-apointed house and its amenities made a rainy day comfortable for 3 generations. Had a great time w/ kayaks and canoe and bicycles. One brave teenager even went for a plunge in the river on a chilly windy day (the photo op was not to be denied!). The elevator made it easy to get gear and food upstairs and down. From decision to rent, to contract, to closing up - it was a pleasure to deal with Joan, the owner. I expect we'll be back!
