Beautiful home with river view

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home, the kitchen was well equipped and great to cook in. Comfortable beds, accessible for chair users with the elevator and ramp from garage was appreciated. Loved the walks along the canal and the location of the house.

Great weekend vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend at Joan's house on the Delaware. We have used VRBO before but never had a house so well stocked with essentials. Immaculate. We were impressed with the quality of the bikes provided and loved biking on the towpath and enjoyed canoeing on the river. The firepit was cozy and the views are just spectacular. Every bedroom has its own en suite bath -- very convenient.

Perfect vacation getaway

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a great weekend at Joan's river retreat. We've rented from VRBO and this was the most completely equipped home we've visited. We were surprised that the bikes were such good quality--riding the towpath was a lot of fun and easy. Totally enjoyed the canoe, too, as well as the firepit. Every bedroom has a lovely en suite bath, and the views are to die for. Highly recommend.

Totally relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This was my family's second visit to this beautiful home on the Delaware River. We were excited to arrive because we knew just what to expect: a relaxing, quiet weekend with family at a total home away from home venue. Everything about this home was first rate. Coffee in the early morning on the outside deck, wine after dark on the screened in porch, watching the kids jumping off the deck into the river, biking the towpath. Access to groceries and farm markets and restaurants in nearby towns was so easy. We came for a 3 night weekend and hated to leave. The owner, Joan, makes everything special and we look forward to our return!! Loved it!!

Best birthday trip!

  • 5 of 5

I rented Joan's property for my 30th birthday with girlfriends from all over the East coast. The house and surrounding area was gorgeous and peaceful. We had breakfast on the deck, spent our mornings on the river and trekked out to go to a nearby vineyard and lavender farm. Joan was extremely helpful, and her house had everything we could need. I would definitely stay here again and I can't recommend it enough!

Better than expected

  • 5 of 5

The house was even better than it looks online! It is very spacious and easily accommodated our group of 8. My favorite was that the house was equipped with all the essentials, as if you're in your own home. There was plenty in the area to keep us occupied, including leisurely days fishing, kayaking and canoeing on the water and the nearby tow path for biking/walking/running. The Crayola factory and casino are within a 30 minute drive, while Philadelphia and New York City were both easy commutes within 2 hours (by car, train, bus or ferry). There are also plenty of quaint little towns nearby. It's a great destination, especially if accommodating a large group. We had other family members that stayed in the other house nearly a mile away, which worked out perfectly.
