Marina Vallarta Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This beautiful Villa located within the exclusive Marina Golf complex is just a short walk away from the ocean and only half a block from the busy Marina full of restaurants and shops. The extremely spacious 1500 sq ft. well appointed 2 story Villa has beautiful tranquil views over the first fairway and is neighbours with the luxury boutique hotel 'Casa Velas'. The large free form pool has uninterrupted views over the golf course, with plenty of shade and beautifully manicured gardens. Access to the beach is possible through the resort hotels close by such as the Marriott (400yards) or beach clubs such as Arecifes at the Westin. Some resorts charge a fee or require that you purchase something from their restaurant or bar to gain access. Alternatively, public access to the beach is at Boca Negra street on the far side of the golf course (approx 1200yards). Many more beaches are within easy reach by public transport or taxi such as Nuevo Vallarta or Playa de Los Muertos in town. If you hire a car you can find pristine deserted beaches within a short drive north in the state of Nayarit - small coastal towns such as Sayulita, San Pancho or Punta Raza. To the south, tiny fishing villages with paradise beaches such as Yelapa and Quimixto can be reached only by boat. Water taxis leave from the marina or Boca de Tomatlan.

The busy marina with over 300 yachts and cruisers is just 100 yards walk away from the villa and is full of excellent restaurants, bars and shops. A large commercial shopping area is also within walking distance with supermarket, banks and other amenities.

The Villa boasts beautiful interiors with some wonderful original art, vaulted ceilings and fine furnishings. The ground floor has a spacious living area which opens out directly on to the golf course with spectacular sunset views. There is also a small but fully equipped kitchen, a dining area for 6, kitchen bar, downstairs toilette and silent mini spilt air conditioning.

Upstairs has two very spacious and luminous en-suite bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. Both bedrooms have King size beds, plenty of closet space, bathrooms with shower, silent mini split air-con and wonderful views over the golf course. There is also an upstairs covered terrace which also enjoys spectacular views and is ideal for sipping a margarita while watching the sunset. The unique location of Villa Te Quiero, on Calle Pelicanos, ensures peace and quiet while being just steps away from everything. Pelicanos street is regarded as the most desirable real estate in Vallarta with multi million dollar neighbouring homes such as Hacienda Los Santos, Casa Los Wikis and the ultra exclusive Casa Velas Hotel.

About Paul Fitzpatrick

Paul and Lorena are originally from the UK and Argentina respectively. They fell in love with Puerto Vallarta in 1997 and made Villa te Quiero their home in 2004 after many years of searching for the perfect location that combines the best of PV with tranquility, luxury and convenience. Both are professionals in tourism and have travelled the world extensively. They understand the small details that can turn a vacation rental into a real luxury for their guests and have made sure that nothing is missing for those who saty at Villa te Quiero. Their inside knowledge, contacts and frineds in PV will also help make your stay here all that more enjoyable.

Paul Fitzpatrick purchased this villa in 2004

Why Paul Fitzpatrick chose Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is an amazing place. Ask anyone of the locals if they would live anywhere else in the world and they will tell you that there is no need - PV is paradise! And that's exactly how we have always felt about the place. We rented in PV for 5 years before making a decision on where to buy and Marina Vallarta stands out clearly as the best place to vacation and live in PV. Marina Vallarta is a community of high end properties, 5* hotels and fantastic facilities, all with it's own police force, army of gardeners and cleaners to keep it immaculate and safe, the comunity has golf, beach and marina all at your doorstep and our villa is located right in the heart of it on the first fairway of the golf course. Everything you need is within walking distance yet our villa is set in an oasis of calm and tranquility. Downtown PV with it's historical center and bouncing nightlife is just a 5 minute taxi ride away. Vallarta and its surounds has wonderful beaches, mountains, jungle, wildlife, a beautiful and historical town, incredibly friendly people and there are hundreds of hidden treasures that you discover each and every time to venture out. Take a boat ride along the southern shore to fishing villages with pristine beaches that are only accessible by water or drive up into the Sierra Madre to colonial towns such as San Sebastian which seem to be caught in a time warp. The town itself is full of world class restaurants, great shops and the wonderful Malecon, not to mention the 'out of this world' sunsets.

What makes this villa unique

Everyone who stays at Villa te Quiero will receive special rates and discounts on Vallarta Adventure tours with up to 20% off Swimming with Dolphins, Canopy Tours, Scuba and more. Great tips on where to eat, what to do and how to explore the bay and it's surroundings. The Villa is incredibly tranquil and relaxing. There is no street noise from traffic or restaurants and yet everything is at your doorstep. You will really feel at home in this wonderful setting and can enjoy the fantastic pool and watch incredible sunsets from the terrace or right from your sitting room. The Villa Complex includes 24 hr security, gardener, pool man, and cleaning service.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed at Paul and Lorena's Villa in April 08 and found it to be one of the most relaxing and tranquil places that we have ever stayed at. It was much more than we expected because we were intent on enjoying all the fun things that Vallarta has to offer and knowing that it's a big tourist destination didn't think that we would find such a tranquil place so conveniently located. After a day's fishing, canopying or even a night out on the town it was just incredible to come back to such a warm, cosy and comfortable place - it really felt like it was our home, except of course that it was much nicer :)

The place is spotless, the pool is out of this world and watching the sunsets from the sofa in the front room with those enormous windows they have while drinking a glass of wine is something I could do forever. One of the really cool things about that I liked about it is that it is a 2 story villa and so I could stay downstairs and watch TV until late while my wife went to bed and I wouldn't bother her. It's also very solid and extremely well built, not like the paper thin new condos thatthey make today. The walls are literally 12 inch thick concrete and so you don't hear anything from the neighbours. Of course, the other great thing is the location, it's just half a block away from the marina with all those great restaurants and so we had some great meals out - I especially liked Portofino and being Argentinian, the steak house wasn't bad either.

It turns out that Paul used to be a big cheese for a tour company in Vallarta and gave us some great recommendations for things to do and also got us some cool discounts. Our favourite thing by far was "Rhythms of the Night" - my wife want's to get married again now just so that we can have the cereomny there. We also took the water taxi from Boca to Yelapa and stayed the night in a tiny guest house they recommended - very rustic and simple but a beautiful and unforgetable experience. They have a whole list of places that neither I nor anyone we met had heard about - hidden fishing villages and towns in the Sierra that Paul and Lorena described as unmissable gems - Teguamixle, Punta Raza, Hierba Buena and loads more. I can't wait to come back and discover some of these treasures for myself.

Thanks Paul & Lorena, keep a month open for us next year!

Pleasantly surprised

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time we stayed outside of an all-inclusive resort, I was apprehensive but our stay at the villa was great! The complex was quiet and relaxing, especially by the pool. The employees/grounds staff were visible, friendly and helpful as well. The condo itself was clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. I would describe it as inviting and comfortable. The unit backed the golf course yet did not seem intrusive when people were on the course, in fact, a bit entertaining.

The location was a very close walking distance to the Marina. Far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet, yet close enough to enjoy all the amenities the Marina had to offer. It was also a very close walking distance to a large grocery store, professional services, like dentists and of course, close to a little part of home as one of our party was able to enjoy McDonalds!

The owner was quick to respond to all our requests and answered all of our questions. His answers were informative and he even provided tips on how to obtain a cheaper taxi from the airport!

Winter Paradise in Vallarta

  • 5 of 5

We spent a really enjoyable 3 weeks in December including Christmas at Pauls villa in Marina Vallarta. Everything was handled extremely smoothly including the correspondence with Paul and confirmation and payment. We had to change flights dates last minute but this was no problem and Paul adjusted everything without any qualms. He is definitely a very straight forward and an honest kind of guy to do business with. It was refreshing to hear that their main concern was that our vacations went as smoothly as possible. The villa manager, Mayra was there at the house to receive us and show us how to connect to the free wifi and explain how to get around. She was extremely nice and spoke very good English which was a great help as our Spanish is quite basic. We had to call her a couple of times to figure some simple things out such as how to switch on the fancy halogen hob and where to get a refill for the mineral water tank and she was always extremely helpful and courteous. She even came round a couple of times during our stay to make sure we were ok as it turns out she works just a couple of blocks away in the marina. The villa was wonderful / and exactly as it is described on the vrbo site. We enjoyed most days by the pool and did go to the beach a couple of times - once to the Marriot where we paid fro lunch and drinks and another time to the city beach at Los Muertos which was great for people watching. The best beaches were on the tours, especially Las Caletas and the canopy tour we took which Mayra recommended was a real blast! The evenings were wonderfully warm and its an easy stroll to the pretty marina with great restaurants. It was easy to get around by taxi and bus. The bus to town and to the cruise terminal for the tours stopped at the end of the road and cost around $0.20usd - a great experience and very practical. I would definitely recommend the villa, it was of much better quality that many of the condos around the water front. The gardens were impeccable, the local staff very friendly and everything super relaxing and quiet. We hope to come back soon!!!!!!

Wonderful villa, great location.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing 3 week stay at Paul & Lorena's home in March and it was everything that the description and website promised: quiet, peaceful, very friendly staff, incredible views from every room, large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, brand new kitchen, AMAZING pool with gardens and within walking distance of everythingthing. The marina waterfront restaurants were wonderful in the evening and although we could walk to the beach quite easily we spent most of our sunbathing time by the pool as it was so nice.

The photos on the web are accurate of what the villa and the condo is like - well maintained, lush green gardens, no one at the pool. What you don't see on the website are the fantastic sunsets.

Paul, the owner, was very helpful and professional confirming our reservation and flexible with the payment. Mayra, who received us at the Villa, was really helpful showing us how everything worked and checked in on us to make sure al was ok. The staff at the condo were really nice and friendly.

We would definitely recommend Villa te Quiero to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Vallarta. We are retired and truly appreciated the peace and quiet, the spaciousness of the unit and the friendliness of everyone including our neighbours.

Our tips: walk to the supermarket (la comercial) and taxi back with your shopping. Mr Cream for a hearty breakfast in the marina. Terraza di Roma for waterfront pizza in the marina. If you want to try golf but don't want to pay for a full round go to the driving range and for $10usd they lend you clubs and you can hit as many balls as you like for an hour and then spend 30 mins on the putting green. For a special treat, go for dinner at Cafe des Artistes in town and best of all: Rhythms of the Night dinner & show.

Good, not great.

  • 4 of 5

THE GOOD: the condo is clean, has a gorgeous kitchen, comfortable beds, nice view of golf course, very convenient to marina shops & restaurants.

THE BAD: the lady next door had FOUR small yappy dogs. There didn't seem to be enough hot water for four adults' showers. We found only 2 bath towels in the 2 bathrooms. Our peace was disturbed several times by lawnmowers on the golf course, construction in other units, and of course the yappy dogs.

THE UGLY: After living in Mexico for nearly 2 years, we saw our first scorpion (thankfully before he saw us) right inside the front door.

Owner's Response: Hi Cynthia, Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear that the neighbours decided to do some work on their villa for a few days during your one week stay, it has been finished now and there is no construction work at the condo now. The condo management was informed about the scorpion sighting outside the front door (fortunately there have been no other sightings from any of the neighbours) and they have done a full fumigation of the gardens and outside areas to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Wonderful Puerto Vallarta Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have been visiting PV for over 15 years, we are retired and from Canada so typically spend at least one month every year there. We have rented condos and timeshares from Nuevo Vallarta (great beach) to Conchas Chinas (fantastic views) but the Marina area is by far our favorite location because it has everything at hand and is extremely well maintained, clean and very safe. Paul and Lorena's villa is, up until now, the best deal we have ever had!

For many years we always tried to find beach front properties but then after comparing prices with the condos in the marina we realized that it makes better sense to rent for longer and take the time to explore a little more (that's if you have the time to do so). The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away after all, and we don't spend 24hrs a day in the sand anyway. We had previously stayed at a condo on the marina waterfront with pleasant views of the boats but I remember that it lacked some privacy (busy around the pool area, and at night the marina can get a little noisy from people in the restaurants and bars below) so this time we wanted to find something in the golf course to ensure a truly relaxing stay yet with the knowledge that we could stroll over to restaurants or to the beach at any time. There are some very impressive homes in the golf course which are way out of our budget and so we were absolutely delighted to find Villa Te Quiero which is part of a delightful complex of 20 villas in the middle of the golf course with a very friendly team of staff to take care of the pool, gardens, maintenance, cleaning etc. There is someone at hand 24hrs and even if you don't speak much Spanish they are more than happy to try and help you out whether it's fixing a light bulb, trying to find your way to the nearest supermarket, calling a cab or telling you which bus to catch in to town.

The Villa itself is very spacious, spotless, extremely well maintained, has lovely furniture and has wonderful views from every room. It looked like the owners had recently spent quite a lot of money on the place with a brand new kitchen, newly tiled floor, new curtains etc. We enjoyed sunsets galore from the pool area, the upstairs terrace and even from the comfort of the living room sofa! We spent a lot of time by the pool (you literally step out of the front room, walk 10 steps through the gardens and you are in the water!) and I can't remember ever seeing more than 2 or 3 other people there - it was fabulous!!

2 escaping winter in Colorado this winter

  • 5 of 5

This was the most peaceful vacation ever. The villa was comfortable, quiet and had an extremely friendly staff at the complex. The pool was really clean and we spent lots of time in the pool area.

A weekly maid visit provided us with changed sheets, clean bathrooms and mopped floors. We walked to the beach, the marina, and easily caught busses to all areas of Vallarta. There is a wonderful women's gym 2 blocks away, and the place was surrounded by a beautiful golf course and we enjoyed watching folders out the sliding doors. We would recommend renting this villa and the owner was extremely helpful and easy to work with.
