About Robert Biederman

Kimberly and I live with our three children in Wexford, PA. We are originally from SC where she and graduated from college. Kimberly works as a Teacher. I graduated from Medical University of South Carolina and am a cardiologist in Pittsburgh. What little time we have we enjoy visiting our Cabin and escaping the pressures of the hustle and bustle of the city rocking on the front porch while listening to the sounds of our 2 creeks.

Robert Biederman purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Robert Biederman chose Maggie Valley

Nestled between two creeks, this is an ideal place to relax fish and enjoy all the quiet serene nature and a wonderful new log cabin with state-of-the-art Highcountry mountain versions. Maggie Valley Country Club is a 10 minute walk from our cabin. GhostTown is a 3 mile drive from our place as is Cataloochee Ski.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Bob,

Thanks for the wonderful Cabin we stayed in a few days ago. I now see why you call it Bearfoot Creek. It is more than you ever could put words to. Your photos don't do it justice. It's impeccably decorated, top notch furniture and comfy beds. And it so warm inside and out. When you drive up to it, you feel like you are in Shangra La! Love the loft and the overlook with the gorgeous large bed and trundle. Kids loved it up there to escape and we loved it to relax. Tim and I loved the King master downstairs and its own private entrance. The dogs loved your property across the way to run and jump in the creek. The sound of the creek, like you told us, is heavenly at night. We went all around Maggie and Waynesville climbing, whitewater rafting and even panning for gold. As you know, we've already booked for next year! We can't wait to come back. Tell your wife thanks for the goodies!

Wonderful cabin! Very comfortable, clean and great location.

  • 5 of 5

We will stay here again. In fact, it is so nice we did not want to leave. The cabin is first class. It has all the comforts of home. The scenery is so beautiful. The creek is great, if you open the sliding glass door to the down stairs bedroom, you can here it flowing. Put us to sleep every night. We enjoyed spending time on the wrap around porch and watching the chipmunk! Whenever we come back to Maggie Valley, I really hope this cabin will be available, we want to stay here again.

Owner's Response: Hi Leasa, Kimberly and I are most happy that you had a chance to stay with us. And just last weekend Kimberly and her team spent the weekend down there working on the upstairs bedroom. She had commissioned a well known NC artisan to convert an antique NC Barnwood Door into a unique Queen Bed with a Full Trundle. It was assembled in its entirety Saturday. It is a one of a kind! When you come back, you will enjoy this treasure. Do remember, when you come back, you receive an automatic 15% discount! Thanks, Bob and Kimberly.

Pretty cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very nice. We loved the location and, even though, there is a paved road in the front yard, it seems private.

It had not been cleaned when we arrived but, after a few attempts, we talked with tge property manager and someone was there soon.

We hope to stay again.

Great house and location.

Overall happy with everything. Only issue was that fold out beds are showing wear. Very saggy.

Owner's Response: Hi Richard, Thanks for letting us know. So you wrote with perfect timing. We have been working for about 6 months with a designer who has been crafting a hand-made one-of-a-kind Antique NC Barnwood Door bed. It is a magnificent Queen with comfortable springs and top-of-the-line mattress along with a Full Trundle! We just assembled it today removing the pullout. As well, we have added a few more items and done a full top to down revamping of beds, comforters, blankets, etc. I think you will really like it when you come back. Remember, everyone gets a 10% discount on their return-for you, friends or family. And 15% if you recommend someone!

Nice location, nice place

  • 4 of 5

Right near the middle of town. Big, clean place in the mountains. Only minor issues. No paper products supplied (paper towels, toilet paper, etc), you have to drive your trash 15 minutes to the dump at the end of your stay (i was not excited about putting trash in my car), and the driveway was steep and gravel/dirt, making parking a motorcycle a real adventure. By the end of the day, with the service fee, booking fee, cleaning fee and pet fee, it was about $200 a night. There are a lot of cabins in the area for $200 a night

Peaceful cabin

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin in Maggie Valley. The wrap around porch was wonderful and a great place to hang out when it rained. The inside set up was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed. The river across the street from the cabin is a nice quiet place to hang out and play with the kids. We went to Cherokee to gem mine with the kids and had a blast. As always, the blue ridge parkway is a must. The only reason we are giving the cabin 4 stars is due to the hiccup upon our arrival. The cabin had not been cleaned since the prior guests. Errors can happen anytime, anywhere and we were pleased with how the owner and property management handled it. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would return again!

Owner's Response: Hi Holly, We are very glad you enjoyed your stay. It was great weather and lots of activities in and around Maggie. Yes, again, as we spoke, in sorry about the mix up in our turnover schedule. That was unexpected but I'm glad the free night and free clean on the house assuaged the inconvenience that first night. Do come back any time and remember, you have an extra discount waiting for you on your return as well! Thanks Bob
