Guestbook comments from the owner

We spent a week at the Coronado Apartments, Apartmenmt #1, and had a great stay. Our two bedroom was clean and attractively decorated. It was just a 5 minute walk to a broad sandy beach. The coastal trail ran for miles along the beach in both directions. We walked all the way to the Mavericks Beach, where they hold the Mavericks Giant Wave Surfing contest every year. Pillar Point Harbor was an easy walk and was quite beautiful. Fishermen were selling Dungeness crab and fish directly from their boats.

Ralph, the owner, was very helpful and gave us names of several fantastic restaurants which we enjoyed. Sam’s Chowder House was a 10 minute walk, and had indoor and outdoor seating where we enjoyed wonderful seafood while watching the sun set over the Pacific. The Mediterranean restaurant Gibraltar was a great find and a most memorable dining experience.

We enjoyed being able to cook our breakfasts and some other meals in the fully equipped kitchen. We only used the king bed and found it to be very comfortable with lots of thick, warm bedding!

Our two excursions to San Francisco went quite well. It was about a 30 minute drive and we enjoyed taking in the many sights of the city! We also drove Highway 1 to Santa Cruz, a beautiful one hour drive and great town to visit.

The week was a great getaway for us, and we loved the area!

Great litte apartment in Half Moon Bay

  • 4 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay in Half Moon Bay. The apartment was clean and cozy and perfect for our family. My only suggestion would be that the owner update some of the cooking utensils and pans. There are no baking dishes for cooking in the oven and several of the skillets have seen better days. We like to cook when we stay in VRBO rentals so this is important to us.

Other than that, we loved our stay here.

Love at first sight

  • 5 of 5

The best vacation ever! The beds were so comfortable and the sound of the fog horn in the distance was enchanting. Coming from the Midwest it was all new to me. Whales had been spotted in the ocean just 2 blocks away the day before we arrived. We didn't catch a glimpse but we could have right outside the door had we sat still long enough. So much to do and see for us. I would love to go back and spend more time when we all can. Thanks Ralph!

awesome little apartment!

  • 5 of 5

Pros: Perfect location about 30 min south of San Fran, loved being a block away from local brewery, great home base for us as we navigated the San Fran and San Jose area!

Cons: We really have none. It would have been nice to have a pull out couch as a 3rd bed, but we knew that wasn't the case when renting.

Two happy Oregonians

If you have lots of destinations while in the Bay Area and need a simple, quiet clean retreat from the hustle, here's the place. No noise, no turists & no issues with parking.

Centered perfectly between SF & Santa Cruze, we got to see everything in every direction, then hide for the night.

You can also read a book without disturbance.

The owner is a great guy that went out of his way to accommodate.

We'll be back👍
