We would like to welcome you to our North Woods Log Cabin that is on the Clam Falls Flowage( which is a 154 acre lake)and is constantly renewed with fresh water from 3 different streams that flow thru McKenzie's Wildlife Reserve, and is only 90 Minutes from the Twin Cities. It is a place to relax, create, inspire, mend and rejuvenate in the surroundings of the N.W. Wisconsin Wilderness.
Our cabin is open all year and is very secluded with trees surrounding our 4 acres. The cabin is situated in a park like setting with a beautiful view of the lake overlooking a 3,000 acre state land preserve. Our cabin life during the Summer is filled with long sunny days of swimming, fishing, boating, campfires and going to sleep with cool nights and the call of the Loon. In the Fall the colors are beautiful, and Winter is one of our favorite times at the cabin.
It is so quiet and peaceful and we like falling asleep reading books, sitting in front of the fire in the wood burning stove. We have close to 1,000 ft of shoreline and we are 500 ft from the entrance to Mc Kenzies Wildlife Reserve with walking trails and snowmobile trails in the winter. The Ice Age Trail borders the lake as well as several trout streams, which are the water source for the lake. Cross country skiing and Downhill skiing are nearby.
Our cabin sleeps 6-8 and has 2 bedrooms on the main floor, One with a Queen size bed, and the other with a full size bed. There is a large loft area with a large sleeper sofa and two twin beds, tons of games, puzzles, books and Game table. All Linens and towels are provided and we have flannel sheets and down comforters on the beds in the Fall & Winter. We have one full bathroom with tub and shower on the main level. The kitchen is fully stocked with stove, microwave, Keurig Coffee Maker and refrigerator and all the dishes, pans, drip coffee pot and cooking supplies you need. We have 2 charcoal grills outside for grilling, adirondack chairs, and a picnic table. The cabin is 14 years old and has the feel of a solid wood ship with vaulted ceilings, log stairs, railings and large panoramic window walls throughout the cabin to bring in the beauty of the outdoors. It is so nice to sit in the 4-season porch in the morning while having coffee and breakfast and watching the sun rise.
Siren, Luck and Frederic are all less than 15 minutes away providing exceptional golfing and quality dining options, fun shopping and any other groceries and supplies you may need.
Duluth MN. harbor on Lake Superior is 75 minutes door to door.

My husband Christian and I decided to build our log cabin as a wedding present to each other. We have been married 17 years now and wanted a place to get away from our daily, hectic life. We love the Frederic/ Siren area and it is only 90 minutes away to get the 'up north' feeling. My husband loves kayaking, canoeing, swimming and hiking and I love quilting and working on all kinds of art projects. Our cabin is our sanctuary and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Jacki & Christian purchased this cabin in 2001
We decided to build in the Frederic/ Siren area because of its closeness to the Twin Cities and its beautiful 'up North' feel. Having McKenzie's Wildlife Reserve just steps away also helps bring nature close to the cabin and all the wildlife we see. It is a very special place and so are the people. There are also Apple Orchards, tons of Golfing and lots of fun things to do when you are there.
Beautiful scenery, birds everywhere, great fishing and swimming and lots of deer and wildlife. Beautiful loon calls, and a 'up north' Boundary Water like setting. Apple Orchards are near by and snowmobile trails on the edge of our property. Gandy Dancer Recreation Trail minutes away, as well as the Ice Age Hiking Trail within walking distance of our property.
Large windows in the cabin bring the outdoors in, and our 4 season porch with window walls lets you enjoy wildlife without them knowing you are there.
Great stay had among friends. Weather could've been better but had a blast none the less.
Love the peace and quiet, and watching the geese, ducks and swans.
Beautiful lakeside home a great retreat from the city
A perfect cabin and a perfect long weekend! The No Phone Cabin is a wonderful escape and we will be going back in the future! We loved exploring the back roads oder Wisconsin and then to be able to come back to such a great cabin made the weekend perfect. Watching the sun come up over the lake each morning and sitting out at night watching the stars made for a peaceful and rest filled trip!
Jacki was great to work with and I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for some time away!
Jacki & Christian, thank you for opening your beautiful log lake home to vacationers. It was absolutely perfect in every way. A place where the rustic Northwood's meet modern day conveniences, coupled with a location on the lake that was postcard perfect.
Our family enjoyed everything your cabin/home offered. We fished daily, played corn-hole (bean bag toss to us older folks...haha), canoed and sat around the bonfire enjoying the starry moonlit evenings, while reminiscing. It was the perfect setting to catch up with our adult daughters and have my elderly, 90 year old father-in-law stroll and take in the beautiful scenery of your lakeside grounds. He was a fisherman in his youth and you could see in his eyes he was remembering those youth-filled days, when we took him out on the water. Your friend Jackie was an absolute sweetheart. And her homemade maple syrup was delicious. Thank you for leaving a bottle of her tasty syrup as a welcoming gift for us to enjoy. We made French toast every morning and Jackie's syrup made it a special treat for the "kids."
Through out the years my wife and I have periodically rented lakeside cabins, but your lake home is, by far,...the best in every way imaginable. I am so happy we discovered it. Thanks again for offering such a special inspiring place, where memories are created.

Thank you for a great week! Beautiful grounds and lake. Well-maintained cabin, lots of room. Clean and comfortable. Charming! Sunny and hot weather, however - the cabin stays super cool with fans. Great magazine, book, game and movie selection. Well equipped kitchen. Private and secluded. Two canoes, fishing and paddle boat. Swimming and fishing. We got Sprint service on dock. Loons, deer and a beaver family! We like to do busy travels - however, this was the BEST and PERFECT relaxing get away ever!
