Everything that we needed

  • 5 of 5

Great price point and value for the house. The Happy Bookers told me what to expect before I arrived and I was pleasantly surprised. The Big Horn is clean and it was great for everyone to have their own bedroom. The house is very cute and well decorated. We waited for the noisy heat and never heard it, but we did enjoy the rooftop hot tub and walked around town every day of our stay. The kitchen was small, but had everything that we needed and two of most things. The person that stopped by the house to make sure that we had everything that we needed was so nice and helpful, but we didn't catch her name. Thank you Happy Bookers!

Great location in town

  • 5 of 5

This was the only house available when we made our plans so I felt somewhat stuck with it. Amy and Carol were great, however, and I felt a little more confident about the choice until I got there. Big Horn Lodge is really cute and has more than enough space for my work group of 18 people. It was perfect for our group retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed the house size, but the best part is the location and the hot tub on the roof! We'll be back. Thanks again!

Great Service

  • 4 of 5

We rented this house for a corporate outing with 14 adults and there was more than enough space. The interior of the home was clean and functional, great for a large group. During our stay, the heat went out. We notified our contact person and withing an hour she had someone there and it was fixed. This was very impressive! Our only complaint was that the hot tub was broken, was was disappointing.

Owner's Response: I'm glad to read the review that our team was responsive to the heating problem during your visit. We always try to keep things in tip top shape, but when something goes wrong, we do our best to resolve it. I am terribly sorry about the hot tub. It was an older unit and this was one of the circumstances when it could not be fixed in a timely manner. I can only imagine your disappointment. We are in the process of replacing the tub and it will be online before our Thanksgiving guests and the beginning of winter. Please consider returning to enjoy our brand new tub! Thanks so much for your review and we hope to get a fifth star on your next stay!

Fantastic House

  • 5 of 5

We first used Big Horn lodge for a weekend meeting with our Board of Directors and a chance to get away from the city and spend a weekend in beautiful Breckenridge, CO. The facility is large, clean and well kept with plenty of space for our meetings, a great kitchen for preparing meals and a unique place for personal relaxation and adventure. Staying here is a perfect blend of combining business with vacation. Our board members were so impressed with Big Horn Lodge they have planned family vacations throughout the year. With the privacy of each bedroom and bath, the roof top deck where you will really enjoy the mountains and the close proximity to downtown to shop eat and just stroll-- this house has the total package for family, friends and business associates to have the time of their life. Once you come you'll be back over and over again. We highly recommend it!!

And the location really was perfect! We were able to walk everywhere and most of us took the shuttle to Peak 8. I walked to the base of the Gondola several times and loved it.

Way beyond our expectations!

  • 5 of 5

We were seeking a last minute getaway for a large group and The Big Horn Lodge seemed to fit the bill. Carol, the manager, was very clear that the house wasn't a luxury home, but had a great location and a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms. We were shocked when we arrived. I guess that it can't be considered truly luxurious, but it had everything we needed and more. The living room was enormous and we all loved the dining room table which seated us all comfortably. I had read a few of the reviews and managed my expectations for the kitchen, but it was great! It had two of every appliance and plenty of dishware, glasses, and everything else. We called Amy once with questions about the hot tub and she was great to work with. Kevin arrived within minutes to show us what we were doing wrong and managed not to make us feel like idiots in the process. I can't say enough good things about this house and this company and we will return!
