Kiawah Island Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This Greenslake Cottage was completely renovated and is beautiful inside.

Fully equipped kitchen with washer, dryer, and high speed internet. Perfect size for a family vacation. Enjoy a beverage or two on the screen porch and deck overlooking the lagoon. Conveniently located in West Beach Village, it is close to the beach, community pool and just a short bike ride to Freshfields Village.

Greenslake Cottages are situated in a quiet, tucked away location in the West Beach Village, and in close proximity to many of Kiawah’s most treasured sights and activities. They provide a larger floor plan than other 2 bedroom villas on the island, and are single story, so there are no units above or below them.

• Short walking distance to Kiawah beaches.

• Full access to the Greenslake community pool with separate baby pool. Right on the

pathway to the beach.

• Easy access to bike and walking paths.

• Nearby activities for all ages, including tennis, kayaking, canoeing, crabbing, fishing,

boating, and much more.

• Bike, kayak and other rentals available.

• Fresh Fields Village (less than 3 miles).

• Nature watching - Dolphins, gators, waterfowl and other birds.

• Night Heron Park offers fun family activities for day and evenings.

• For a fee, Kiawah Island Resort offers golf, tennis and other resort activities to

non-resort guests, with the exception of their pools and fitness facilities.

Kiawah by Owner, LLC, is a boutique rental agency, founded by a fellow Kiawah property owner. Since 2007, Kiawah By Owner has provided a personalized Kiawah rental experience. We look forward to helping you find the perfect Kiawah vacation rental for your family or gathering.

Kiawah Island boasts 10 miles of pristine beaches, unspoiled nature preserves and parks. About Susie Oringel

We purchased our cottage on Kiawah Island in summer of 2005, and I began renting it on VRBO during the weeks we were not able to enjoy Kiawah ourselves. In 2007, a friend on nearby Seabrook Island asked me if I would help her rent her villa also. Since I loved helping people plan their vacations in the area, I obtained my South Carolina Property Manager's License and began a business - Kiawah By Owner. I now help rent more than 25 other properties on Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island in addition to our cottage. I look forward to helping you plan your vacation - Susie Oringel 704-277-2912

Excellent Family Base Camp

  • 5 of 5

This was our 2nd stay in this cottage, and needless to say we will be coming back again! Great setup for 2 small kids in their space, screen porch for adults to relax and watch the lagoon wildlife. Easy walk to the beach and bike ride to West Beach Village and the Freshfield's market. See you next year!

October Stay

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I and our friends stayed during October for a week. The condo is well furnished with many updates. We really enjoyed the small porch with a view of many shore birds and eagles near the lagoon area. We were concerned with the fishy and smoky smell that prevailed in this unit during our stay. We didn't cook fish and never smoke so these were unwelcomed to us. Our use of spray really didn't help. If these concerns were taken of, we would consider re-renting as well as recommending this rental.

Owner's Response: We are glad you had a good time and enjoyed this cottage. We have never had anyone mention an odor at this cottage before this renter or afterwards. It is a non-smoking property. Maybe the odor was a temporary result of the historic flooding in SC a week before.

Just What We Needed!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was very well maintained, in a beautiful location, and extremely peaceful. There was plenty of space to relax and a wonderful screened in porch to enjoy the view of the lagoon. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was so nicely decorated. We hope to come back again and highly recommend this for anyone wanting to visit Kiawah!

A dreamy vacation!

  • 4 of 5

We absolutely loved the cottage, the island, bicycling on the beach, the deer, the dolphins, the safe & old timey feel of Kiawah Island. The only recommendation I would have about the cottage would be to add a DVD player to the living room. As a family, we don't get to sit around a lot at home, so we really enjoy watching a movie together when on vacation. We were all disappointed to see there was no DVD player in the living room. Otherwise, everything was very clean, well-stocked, & comfortable!

Perfect for us

  • 5 of 5

We found this cottage to be perfect for us. Nice master room and bath, second bedroom had twin beds for our daughters and the LR had a pull out for our son who came for a few days. The kitchen had everything we needed. We did most of our meals at the cottage. There was even a small food processor, measuring cups/spoons, and a pizza pan. My favorite part was the view from the back. The lagoon is a busy place for birds. I even saw an alligator swimming past one day. The walk/bike ride to the beach was short and pleasant. Be sure to walk/ride to the end of the island where the river flows into the ocean. Dolphins swim there at low tide.

We went out to dinner at the Fat Hen on Johns island. Hard to get a reservation, but well worth it.
