Guestbook comments from the owner

This was my husband's and three sons first trip to Boston and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space for all five of us. It had a fully stocked kitchen which was nice since we ate many meals at the the house. The location was also wonderful. The neighborhood includes local parks, shops and restaurants. We took advantage of the subway to downtown Boston which was a 7 minute walk , the Samuel Adams Brewery tour (15 minute walk), and the Harvard Arboretum (also within walking distance). The owner, Patrick, lives nearby and could not have been more gracious and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Loved it!

Cosy cottage type house

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 4 we found the house comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the area Jamaica Plain is a vibrant community full of good eatery and quirky shops. We liked the feel .We ate at Galway House on Centre St, which was excellent good food and atmosphere also Doyle's Cafe after a Beer and chilli evening at Samuel Adams Brewery, which was also good fun.We found the hosts Stephen and Patrick friendly and helpful. We also got 7 day travel tickets from Forest hills T station,we were advised by a young mum to buy these instead of the Charlie cards we were going to buy .If you plan to use T and buses and also the harbour ferry which we did 3 times they are well worth the $21.50.We visited the week Tropical storm Jose hit Cape Cod so out of 6 days only had a few nice days.It did not stop us getting out every day and we found plenty of indoor sights we recommend The Mary Baker Eddy library and Mapparium which was fascinating We liked that soap and shampoo, dishwasher tablets and washing liquid were provided and the back garden was nice and the area not too busy.

Humble abode with doll house like space

  • 3 of 5

Expensive. Two of the three beds were too small for the beds, but clean and not conducive to relaxing. Hosts were nice and accommodating.

Loved the location

  • 4 of 5

We loved this location as it was very near our friend’s apartment and the “T” (subway). Patrick and Stephen were wonderful landlords and were there to help us with any problems. There was an emergency water leak and they were right there to take care of it. They even bought us some wine for our inconvenience! The house worked for three couples just fine.

A Vacation with Character

  • 5 of 5

Patrick and Stephen are welcoming and accommodating, just wonderful.

The house is loaded with character and comfortable. It is convenient to the T and to some great restaurants and shops in Jamaica Plain. Be sure to visit Cobwebs. Many attractions are within walking distance. Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

It is a Gem

  • 5 of 5

A nice place in a great location, the house as all you need and comfy beds. We were a family of four adults and they was plenty of room for us all, it would easily sleep six. The metro was under ten minutes and you can be downtown in under thirty minutes. Jamaica Plains with it variety of restaurants, takeaways, bars and shops are within a very short walk. The owners answered all queries promptly. The only problem we had was that our stay was to short, we intend to come back. I would certainly recommend it as a base to explore Boston and Jamaica Plalns.
