Overview

Puerto Morelos Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This is a beautiful, spacious 1200 sq.feet condo,(the usual condo size is 800 sq.feet) designed by a talented local architect who lives on site and manages the property. It has water views in the front and sunset views in the back. It is ideally situated in a quiet neighborhood within steps of the town's best beach and a comfortable walking distance (12 minutes) to the town square, via beach or road.

It is tastefully and elegantly furnished, not as a beach rental but as a home. There are two large bedrooms, one with sunrise ocean views and the other with jungle sunset vistas. Both have a large bathroom with marble tile, plentiful storage and shower. Each has a king-size bed which can be made into two twins. There are marble floors throughout and Corian countertops in the kitchen and baths. Lovely gardens surround a shamrock shaped pool with cabana and BBQ. There is off street gated parking. The unit is very bright, very quiet with lovely breezes throughout the day and night.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with microwave, self lighting stove, toaster, blender, new pots and pans, real glasses, dishes, silverware, a hot and cold potable water dispenser and large refrigerator. There is a separate pantry with washer/dryer and storage. All rooms have air conditioning.

The architect/builder manages the property and maintains everything to the highest standards. There are just six condos in this quiet, well designed, well located complex. It is not only ideally situated within the town but also perfectly located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Both are just 20 miles away, in case you desire a change of pace.

If you have any questions about the condo or the area, please call us at the number below or email us. We will be happy to provide further information and assist you with your vacation plans for Puerto Morelos, a place that we love and enjoy for its Mexican flavor, the wonderful Mayan people and its magnificent beaches.

About The Owner

Rosvita and Karl live in Santa Fe, NM and are both therapists and coaches. We love the high desert climate and quiet of our town. We have vacationed often in Mexico and decided to buy in Puerto Morelos in 2005.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2005

Why The Owner chose Quintana Roo

We choose Puerto Morelos because it retains the sense of community which has often been lost as large developments encroached on town life. It remains an vibrant fishing village with wonderful friendly people, a gorgeous beach, many restuarants with varying cuisines and close proximity to Cancun and Playa del Carmen for those seeking a more active vacation.

Very nice condo at reasonable price in Puerto Morelos

  • 4 of 5

We spent a week in this spacious condo. Is is a very comfortable accommodation with good beds, nice furniture and a well equipped kitchen. It is bright , airy ( though there is good AC as well) and spacious. There are some obstructed views of the sea which is conveniently located a block away. The walk to town, restaurants and small shops is 10-15 minutes. There are many nice, relatively inexpensive places for food and drinks. The local ceviche is particularly wonderful.

The aspects of this property we did not like is that the pool and grounds are quite small and closed in by several buildings. When it is very windy at the beach , we like a pool setting. Also the terraces are very small and cannot accommodate a table for meals. Since we were on the 3rd floor, we had to have all our meals inside.

While in PM, we would also recommend a trip to the jungle spa and a snorkeling excursion. You do not need a car but if you want to explore, daily rentals are available in PM for $40-$50/day

Superb!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week’s stay at Casa de Suenos in the 6-unit Sol y Luna condos. What a beautiful space – we loved the condo! It was immaculate and spacious, with tons of light and fresh breezes. The aqua and white décor enhances the beach-y feel. The pictures in the photos are really the way it is. You can see the ocean from the back balcony; furniture and beds are very comfortable. Karl is very responsive, and Ramon (manager who lives nearby) was also very responsive. The condo is located less than one block from the water. There is a beach bar/food establishment (Unico) that is only a few steps from the beach entrance. We rented chairs and umbrellas there and parked ourselves for hours, gazing at the water, swimming now and then, and reading. (The shrimp wraps from Unico are delicious!)

We cooked a bit at the condo, but mostly ate out. Food in PM is fantastic! (and not expensive). While you are there, try to get to the Jungle Spa for a Mayan massage. We didn’t stay long enough for further adventures, but next time cenotes and snorkeling at the reef for sure! Also next time we will rent bikes to ride to town and back. The distance from the condo is walkable, but if we had had bikes we would have explored the side streets and beyond. We didn’t rent a car, but the taxi system is very organized and taxis are cheap, so we used them liberally.

Puerto Morelos is a small, quiet town with super friendly people. We felt completely safe there. Our biggest problem, like a lot of other visitors to PM, was that we didn’t stay long enough!

A Piece of Paradise

  • 5 of 5

The first thing I want to say is how wonderful the communication is with the owners. I never went more than a couple hours without hearing back. This began a perfect vacation.

The owners helped with securing a driver from the airport. We were greeted with a smiling face and felt welcome immediately. We reached the condo only to find that the pictures did not do the condo justice. It is immaculate. The condo is warm and inviting.

The internet was perfect. A nice television for our lazy nights. Air Conditioning. Fully Stocked Kitchen. Laundry Facilities. Four Decks. Views of the Carribean, the mangroves and the starlit sky. Comfortable Beds. So much more than I can list.

We stayed for 18 days and had the time of our life. Just steps to the beach, or down the stairs to the pool. Daily walks to the center of town brought us to the heart of this wonderfully friendly, safe town. The food in town is AWESOME!! We got stuck on a couple of places because they were so good, we kept going back.

There are so many things to do in Puerto Morelos and within an hours drive, I cannot list them all. You must go snorkeling on the coral reef. It is so beautiful. Swimming in a cenote is another MUST DO! These waters truly have healing powers. The nearby Croco Cun Zoo is an interactive zoo that lets you hold and touch so many animals.

In the short time we were there, we made a number of local friends. We plan to return soon and the condo at Casa Sol y Luna is the place we will stay.

Paradise found!

  • 5 of 5

Our month-long stay at this wonderful condo was absolutely perfect! The condo is spotlessly clean and comfortable, but more than that, it was like our home away from home. There was nothing lacking, from beach towels and chairs to condiments and cookware, every little thing we could need was there waiting for us. The furnishings are first class and beautiful, the views are fantastic, and the proximity to the best beach in Puerto Morelos can't be beat. There are more restaurants in this lovely town than we could possibly imagine - and we ate out nearly every evening. The people of Puerto Morelos are warmly friendly, the small-town atmosphere is so addictive, and everything you could need is only a short walk away. We recommend this listing without reservation - it is definitely our Paradise Found!! We cannot wait to come back! Thanks so much to the owners, Karl and Rosvita, your hospitality is unparalleled!!

Relaxing in Puerto Morelos

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable and beautiful! We stayed three days at the end of our self guided 12 day auto trip around the Yucatan. Have a drink or a massage on the white sand beach. We really liked the snorkeling trip with Joaquin which Ramon set up for us. All gear was supplied. You must have a guide as the reef is protected. Pangea restaurant has great food and live music overlooking the harbor. Look for barbecued chicken (you can smell it) about three blocks from the center on the same street on which the condo is located. $100 MX for a whole chicken which they chop into eight pieces, tortillas, black beans, rice, and salsa. We took it back to our palapa for lunch. And another couple who were staying there had also brought the same lunch. What a coincidence.

OUR LOSS YOUR GAIN-MONTH OF MARCH 2012

  • 5 of 5

We were coming back for our 3rd year for the month of March 2012 but have had to cancel due to the necessity of having surgery. This condo has everything you want and more. You feel right at home. The owners are great people. PM is a great little town, low key and no pressure. You can feel totally safe and relax. The owner told us the first year that we wouldn't be disappointed by renting without seeing the place and he was so right. There is hardly anyone on the beach at any given time except Sundays which is Family Day for the Mayan people (it's their only day off) and it is just magical to see how close these families are when they are all together. When you go for a walk on the beach on Sundays, it fills your heart with joy. The people are smiling and having so much fun with their families. There is a great beach bar just steps away on the beautiful beach. Our favorite restaurants are: La Cantina (best burgers and marguiritas), David Laus (Val's marguritas and chinese food) and El Pescador's (deep fried fish and salsa). There is something for everyone's appetite. Don't hesitate to go to PM and this condo, you won't regret it.
