Charming Comfortable Home!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in many VRBO rentals over the years and to date, this is the best yet! The home is decorated with charming antiques down to the yummy clawfoot bathtub, yet has all the comfort amenities we need of todays world. Walking in I immediately felt like I was home. Best yet it is just about a 5 minute walk to the OK Corral and Allen Street where you step back into the wild West. When visiting Tombstone we highly suggest dining at Big Nose Kate's Saloon. Incredible melt in your mouth brisket, excellent pulled pork sandwiches, cold beer and great entertainment, not to mention wild west charm. We spent one day in Bisbee which is a short drive from Tombstone. If you have never been in a mine, you should take the Queen Mine Tour. You ride a little tram 1500' into the mountain. It is quite educational and a fun experience. I am a bit claustrophobic and it didn't bother me at all. We had lunch at Santigos in Bisbee. While the service was mediocre, the chili relleno's were the best I have had. Growing up in San Diego, that is saying something. If you get a chance try their mango chili margarita! Yum!! We also toured Kartchner Caverns which are amazing. They have done a fabulous job of preserving the Caverns so they do not die as Carlsbad Caverns has. Very educational tour on what we do to our environment. Another must see! For fellow shutterbugs, lots of incredible scenery for great shots, especially sunrise at the desert! Thanks Liz for providing such a wonderful home to stay in! We are looking forward to coming back with friends in the near future. Still so much to see and do!!

There's no place like home...except here!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great little vacation home. It has all the comforts of home and many amenities that help the budget, such as a fully equipped kitchen that allows you to eat in, an ice maker and water filter in the refrigerator, a BBQ on the flagstone patio out back, and even a laundry room complete with washer, dryer, and iron/ironing board. The house is comfortably and tastefully decorated in period style furnishings. It has air conditioning and is extremely well insulated so you don't hear traffic or any outside noise for that matter. I enjoyed spending my mornings on the front porch watching the birds and reading while enjoying my coffee. Many evenings were spent doing the same, but watching the great lightening storms over the Sonora Desert. The historic town is conveniently located only a few walking blocks away. The local market is only 2 blocks and so is the circle K, which is open 24 hours. Another great aspect of this rental is the clean and manicured landscape. It was the first time that I've been to Tombstone in monsoon season that I wasn't devoured by no-see-ums!

I would highly recommend this rental to anyone.

My Tombstone Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My vacation at the Wyatt Earp guest house was absolutely amazing. Terrie couldn't have been more courteous and helpful, she kept reiterating that if we needed anything during our stay to let her know. she always wore a smile & was a wealth of information. the accommodations were immaculate. from the the cleanliness of the rooms to the fresh scent of cut lumber(which I'm sure was do to the hardwood floors). all the amenities that you could ask for was a definite bonus. My girlfriend walked in and was amazed at what we got for the price. I work for Disney and talk to hundreds people on a day to day basis & I think I've must have told at least 50% of the people about the Wyatt Earp guest house. You give people the opportunity to enjoy an amazing vacation that's chalked full of history and excitement for such an amazing low price. Thanks once again for an awesome stay & I can guarantee that I will be a returning guest & will be spreading the word of the Wyatt Earp guest house.

My thanks to Terrie and Jim & Liz Allen

Short stay in February 2011

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in February and had a really nice visit. The house is great - one of our favorites ever. Great location for "base camp" when running around some of the cities in the area. We were not typical tourists; visited downtown and the museum down the street and enjoyed the aura of the Old West. Terri was wonderful as the on-site manager and Liz provided great service from the ownership side.

Thank you so much! We have recommended the house to several people and will continue to do so.

Lovely home in Tombstone

  • 5 of 5

The house is lovely -- clean, very comfortable, and well-maintained -- and in a nice location to explore the region (which we did!). The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking all of your meals. We rented it with another couple and it was the perfect size. If we are in the area again, we would definitely want to rent it again.
