We offer a comfortable house in the center of Venice. One living room on the front of a large garden; one bedroom; one studio; a a new kitchen; one bathroom. The house has been totally renovated this year. The house is close to Campo Santa Margherita and the Accademia. A very convenient place to go to Piazzale Roma and the train station.
A completely renovated apartment conveniently located in a beautiful, historic section of Venice on Dorsoduro. The apartment is perfect for couples who wish to have central location in one of the most exclusive areas of the city.
We are Luisa and Massimo. Our children are 28,24,22. We teach at the University of Venice at the Department of East Asian Studies. We travel often to Japan and in Europe. Our birthplace is not Venice but we live here since 1980, and we love our city more than anywhere else in the world!
Luisa purchased this apartment in 1982
This house has been our first home in Venice. Now we live in a larger house close to it. The apartment is a cozy yet comfortable one with great interiors, collection of books, very tastefully decorated. It is equipped with everything you could need and us close se to the supermarket.
Location is excellent, walking distance from Piazzale Roma and from the train station and easy to find. The garden garden is a clear bonus.
We stayed at Luisa and Massimo's beautiful , fully equipped and very well located apartment in late September. Venice is always a treasure but staying in this location makes the adventure so much easier and welcoming. The owners are most helpful and wise individuals, it was a joy to share their world. If you wish for more than this apartment, you may need to reflect upon what you really wish for... thank you to Luisa and Massimo, David and Giovanna , Vermont < USA
Every good thing written in reviews thus far about this apartment is true! In April my husband and I, (both of us work in visual arts), spent two wonderful weeks in this apartment. From our point of view, the following describes the apartment: Great location, tiny intimate street on the front side, large, beautiful green space and garden just for our private use on the back side. Quiet - for being in the heart of Venice, unbelievably quiet! Great central location in the Dorsoduro section of Venice just off Campo Santa Margherita and a few steps from Campo Barnaba - less than an hour's walk to any part of Venice - 15 minute walk to the train and bus stations. Clean, well equipped modern kitchen and bathroom, much larger apartment than we expected, great washing machine - the photos do not show how large nor how nice this apartment is. Lots of desk space for writing in our journals and planning the day. A computer with WiFi! Large comfortable bed and great feeling sheets and pillows. A 6 foot long comfortable couch good for sitting and naps. A great grocery store nearby as well as a man on a boat in the canal selling fresh produce. Great restaurants, bakeries, and gelato shops nearby. Caring, responsive owners that gave us their personal phone number in case we had any personal problems during our visit. We could not have asked for more! This would be a perfect place for a writer, artist or couples to spend time thinking, writing, working and/or visiting the great churches, museums, and sights of Venice. This was a great value for the money and we are already day dreaming about our next stay in the "Nice Apartment with Garden".
Our stay at the apartment was absolutely fabulous. It is conveniently located and included all the amenities as described in the listing. We enjoyed the convenience of walking to the cafes in the morning and restaurants in the evening. In particular, the food and service at the Do Farai restaurant located around the corner was fantastic.
As for the owners of the apartment, they were very accommodating and helpful. We were truly appreciative of their attentiveness.
We would highly recommend staying at this apartment.
This is an ideal apartment to rent, and it restored our spirits after a hard day of travel.. It is a convenient walk from the train station and an easy walk into Piazza San Marco. Yet, it is removed enough from the crowds that you feel like you are in a real neighborhood with some of the escape from the tourist throngs in Venice. It is clean, comfortable, and has wifi. I will recommend this place to anyone I know going to Venice. Communication with the owner is always clear and prompt. This is a great place to stay.
My wife and I stayed five days in this apartment this spring. It had everything one would need. The location is terrific. We walked to everything we wanted to see. We walked from the train station to the apt. when we arrived. The owner's daughter met us in the square close to the apartment. This was necessary as it's unlikely that a tourist could wend their way through the alleys and paths to the apartment.
As well as the usual conveniences the apartment had a Mac computer for our use. We used it several times each day to make restaurant reservations, check train schedules, etc. We had an iPhone but the computer was far superior to use.
We slept well as the apartment is quiet and the bed is comfy.
We stayed in this great apartment from 25 to 30 May, 2013 and really enjoyed our stay. While the rental's appearance and amenities are accurately refledted in the photos, they exceeded our expectations. The apartmentis a short walk to many attractions or to vaporetto stop Ca Rezzonico which will quickly get you to St. Mark's Square and other locations.
Our host Luisa was very helpful and even came over on a Sun. to show me how to use the washing machine.
There are many good restaurants in the area but our favorite was Do Farai s.r.l. at Dorsoduro, 3278. It is a little tricky to find but if you go out the apartment to the left, then left again you will see the back door to the restaurant. They have a sign out but you have to go around the block to find the front door. Believe me it is worth searching it out. We ate there twice and enjoyed both our meals on both visits.
There is also a small market very close in Campo Santa Margherita if you would rather cook your own meals or just want a few things.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone who would like a very comfortable place to stay away from the highly congested center of town.
