Newer, fully-furnished townhouse with weekly cleaning. We are located in a small, four-unit complex, our unit being the largest and most private. Everything is provided for you except the groceries! Built in 2008, this two-story modern townhouse offers 1,050 sq. ft. and accommodates up to four persons. Short, medium and long term rental available with minimum stay of three nights. No tax required for stays of longer than one month.

Excellent central location within walking distance to Old Town, downtown Albuquerque and convention venues, and with easy access to I-40 and I-25. Neighborhood restaurants outside your door. An excellent neighborhood market one quarter mile to the south.

Clean and comfortably furnished with attention to detail. South-facing, private courtyard with deck and motorized awning. Warm, sheltered spot for colder weather sun worshippers.

About Owners Bill Davis or Joseph Hoffman

Bill, a retired kindergarten special education teacher originally from Oklahoma (and other parts) has lived in Albuquerque since the early 1970s. Joseph, now retired from physical therapy, has been a resident since 1987 and was born and raised in west central Wisconsin near the Mississippi. Our combined knowledge of Albuquerque and New Mexico enables us to answer many questions a visitor to the area might have. We also enjoy giving our opinion about living in Albuquerque and areas of the city for those contemplating a move.

We are now devoting more time to our two properties, getting more exercise, and doing some road trips. We enjoy Mexico and Europe in particular.

Why Owners Bill Davis or Joseph Hoffman chose Albuquerque

Our other vacation rental, located in a 100-year-old casita, provides an intimate, nostalgic feeling. We decided that we would also like to host guests nearby in a larger, more modern setting. Both properties are approximately 1/2 mile from Old Town.

What makes this condo unique

We provide weekly cleaning and towel/linen change for guests staying longer periods of time.

For bikers, walkers, joggers and birdwatchers, we are approx. 1.75 miles from Tingley Beach (fishing ponds), the Paseo del Bosque biking/walking/jogging trail and the Rio Grande itself. If you prefer, you can take the unpaved trail in the bosque (the cottonwood greenbelt) that parallels the river. Check out bicycle rental at Routes in Old Town. They also offer tours.

Birdwatchers and nature lovers will not want to miss a drive south on I-25 to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, best visited in the colder months when thousands of Sandhill cranes, snow geese and other feathered friends overwinter.

For those a little less active, walk or drive the 1/2 mile to the Old Town area to visit the iconic San Felipe de Neri church, stroll and shop. Right there also are the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, the Museum of Natural History and Science with the Lodestar Astronomy Center, and the Explora Children's Discovery Museum. The botanic gardens and aquarium are located another 1/3 mile from Old Town. From here you can take the little train to the Albuquerque BioPark Zoo to spend a few delightful hours.

The National Hispanic Cultural Center is 2.2 miles away ( It has an excellent art museum with permanent and current exhibits. And if you're staying in our city for a longer period of time, try a Spanish course at Instituto Cervantes ( will give further information about the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center ("Gateway to the 19 pueblos of New Mexico"), located just 1.1 miles north of Sandia Mountain Condo.

In summary, you will not have a lack of things to do at centrally-located Sandia Mountain Condo! The owners, Bill and Joseph, can answer any questions you may have about getting the most out of your stay in Albuquerque.

We are new to and this rental represented our first foray into this internet site. We worked hard at making the right choice among so many appealing offerings. We simply could not have done better than Sandia Mountain Condo! What you see is exactly what you get.........only better. This place is amazing. Absolutely spotlessly clean, fully furnished, environmentally friendly, beautifully decorated, bright, cheerful, and secure. The owners, Bill and Joseph, have taken a condo, lavished it the love and an eye to detail, and made it a home. The patio is a real joy and a relaxing place for a wake-up cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at sunset. Downstairs is compact, but oh so comfortable. As far as media is concerned Bill and Joseph have got you covered. (Be sure to listen to FM 95.5 for soothing music any time of the day or night.) The two bedrooms are upstairs at the top of a short set of stairs, complete with a well-secured metal railing which was greatly appreciated. The bedrooms, especially the master, is more than roomy and has a huge walk-in closet. Area rugs help make the pine flooring attractive. Lighting is no problem and the beds are more comfortable than the ones we use at home. The entire condo is as environmentally friendly as one could make it. Sandia Mountain Condo is relatively new, thus everything was in working order and well maintained. If you needed anything, the owners were only a phone call away. They have thoughtfully provided their guests with a three-ring binder full of maps, information, flyers, suggestions, and advice regarding shopping, touring, and restaurants (sample menus even!). Now, as to location, the condo could not be better situated. You are within a three block walk to Old Town and the many museums, a fabulous bakery is right out your font door and

in New Mexican food is only a half block away. Bike rentals, a splendid grocery store, 7-Eleven and more are all within walking distance. Back to the bakery. Their products, all made on site, are amazing, most especially the pizza. The green chile bread, multi-grain bread are fabulous. So are their sweets, especially the empanadas and the best biscochitos in the State of New Mexico. If you want to travel by car, the interstates are only blocks away with easy access. We loved the home and location. The patio is a quiet place to sit in the shade and watch hummingbirds. Would definitely choose this place again on our next trip to ABQ.

Hard to find anything better!

We've stayed in a lot of VRBO/Home Away properties, and this is absolutely among the very best. We'll simply say ditto to all of the other great reviews this place has received, and try to add some info that others didn't cover to underscore why this is a decision you'll be glad about. First, communications with the owners before arriving -- easy, timely, and clear. Sounds simple, but it's a very important thing you can't take for granted. Second, the property is quiet. That's paramount to us. If you Google Map the address, the default photo is two condo units facing the street -- actually, if you rotate the aspect you'll see that the unit is the furthest of two behind that. Very little street noise at all. There is a shared wall, but we never heard a peep from the neighboring unit (we did meet them and they were very nice). The houses and businesses around the unit were also very quiet. Finally, communications with the owners after arriving -- they live close by and are available when needed, don't mind at all if you call them for anything, and are very responsive. The bottom line -- would we come back, would we recommend this place friends -- yes and yes!

Perfect!! Close to Breaking Bad RV Tours Pickup!

Bill & Joseph's home description is very accurate regarding location, layout, and amenities. Their home is very clean and well-maintained. The owners provided excellent customer service - they are readily available but non-intrusive. We already recommended their home to our family and friends.

We visited Old Town, the ABQ BioPark Zoo & Aquarium, two nearby museums, and two casinos, The highlight of our visit was the Breaking Bad RV Tour - AWESOME FOR FANS OF THE SHOW! Their pickup location is in nearby Old Town.

There is a bakery right across the street (Golden Crown Panaderia) that has good pizza with green chili crust. Lowe's grocery is really close, too - they have nice avocados (hard to find now!). Don't miss picking up some Los Chileros Original Salsa while you are there! Fresh & only slightly spicy.

Pretty near perfect!

This delightful getaway has an interior decorator's touch, little vignettes reflecting vintage rural chic. Nothing has been left to chance, simple needs and wants provided. The owners are accommodating but not at all intrusive. I would love to return, especially for the delicious bakery across the street!

A friend and I stayed in this condo. It was better than the description and the description was pretty darn good. It is located where it is easily accessible to area destinations. As other reviews have noted there is a friendly bakery right across the street.

The downstairs patio and the upstairs porch are beautiful.

The owners left detailed instructions for everything in the home and were available if we needed any assistance.

The condo was beautifully decorated. It made both my friend and I update and decorate our own places. The whole unit is put together very thoughtfully.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone going near the Albuquerque area.

My husband and I stayed here for a week last year. (I don't remember the exact dates.) There was a record amount of rain during that time and we weren't able to go out as much as we liked. Thank goodness for such a wonderful condo. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was near everything: good pastry across the street, supermarket, gas station, other restaurants, and lots of museums. I travel quite a bit within the US and this is one of the nicest and homiest places I've ever stayed. The reviews last year made it seem too good to be true, but I took a chance and every word was the truth. It exceeded my expectations and I've felt guilty that I haven't written this review earlier. A couple of things not noted in the description last year was a private deck with seating and a nice, large enclosed patio and a large screen TV. Spacious. Clean. Well stocked with a variety of kitchen items. Enjoy!
