Sometimes snow reaches the Chalet but not the town below. The Chalet is comfortable and has all the accommodations that you would expect, 5 bedrooms, hot tub, fireplace, pool table, pool and tennis passes. The Chalet is close to Parks, Shows, Restaurants, Water Parks, Shopping and many other Family Fun activities. Come, bring the family, build some memories and let our home be yours!

I brought a group of 12 for a 4 night stay and everyone loved the place. Everything was as promised, the owner communicated promptly and the views were worth a 'million dollars'. We all agreed we'd stay here again if the opportunity afforded itself.
Nice, cozy place! 5 big bedrooms with their own bathroom. Kitchen table seats 8. There is plenty of seating in the living room and a nice fireplace. Downstairs, besides the pool table, there is a big round table that seats 8 for games. You can see the great views from there too. Nice decks on both the main and lower levels with views from all. Both bedrooms on the main level have their own sliding doors to the decks. Downstairs, one does. The loft doesn't really have a view, but it's nice.
The views...I cannot overstate how amazing they are from there. Plus 2 nights we saw bears from the deck. The 2nd night we got to watch one for about 30 minutes. The 1st night we saw a mamma and 2 cubs pass through.
The gondola..or tram..is just a couple minute drive from the chalet. There are things to do there and then take the tram down to Gatlinburg. There is s grocery/deli within a few minutes too. They also will deliver pizza and sandwiches. The chalet has a very nice, big grill too. All 8 of us recommend it.
This was the first time I had used VRBO. We had families from 3 states meet for a family vacation. The Chalet was great! The view was spectacular! I would highly recommend staying here! We did have a few encounters with bears which delighted all ages of our family! So glad we stayed there!
The view is outstanding! Well equipped property. Our family reunion was wonderful. There were ten of us, oldest 75 youngest 9, all found something to enjoy in the Smokies.
Bears, bears, bears and beautiful view
If you like bears this was the place to be! Bear heaven!! Cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing. Hot tub was great after a long day although it didn’t seem like all the jets worked but still great!
Pros: comfortable beds, roomy, great view, family room downstairs was fantastic. Nice table for playing cards while others could play pool. The laughter was great. Plenty of parking.
Cons: poor WiFi, the trash can to keep bear out needed to be fixed. Half of it worked but they other part didn’t. Ended picking up garbage a few times as those bears are smart! Toilets flushed slow. They did have a plunger there. (Gross I know but something I would want to know). Basically no other issues.
FYI: if you used the washer / dryer make sure you clean the dryer filter. It was FULL! After we cleaned it our clouthes dried in no time!
Wonderful place to stay! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again! Again all the bears were amazing! They were funny as we watched them play in the yard next door, rolling down the hill, we saw a mama with her cubs. We virtually saw at least one bear every day. Most days we saw several around the cabin. First day we saw 4!
Beautiful Relaxing Week
WOW! We were overwhelmed with how beautify and comfortable this home was for the 13 of us staying there! Plenty of room to get away from one another, and plenty of space to be all togetherin one spot! We had a blast playing cards and pool on the pool table in the rec room. The view was spectacular and the kids and adults were awed by the bears we saw! We even saw one tear the plastic window off a Jeep and get in the car! We were well warned about the bears but they even tried getting into our cars but we had no food in them and the doors were locked! We took advantage of using the hot tub, the pools that were available to us, and the closeness of the Ober to ride down to Gatlinburg! We took the 15 minute ride into Pigeon Forge and shopped the outlet and we also saw shows while we were there! (The Comedy Barn and Hatfield & McCoy shows were great!). We also were able to get all our clothes washed and dried to take home and start fresh on Monday! Well worth staying and I'd highly, HIGHLY recommend this home!!!
There is an endless supply of fun in the surrounding area. Start with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where there are trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. There are waterfalls, beautiful scenery and wildlife to enjoy. There are an abundance of streams & rivers for trout fishing, tubing, kayaking and canoeing. There are numerous golf clubs. We have access to 3 club houses, all have outdoor pools, 2 offer tennis courts, playground equipment and weight room (we do charge a $10 pass deposit that will be refunded upon return of pass, club pass. We are near Pigeon Forge (great shopping outlets) & Sevierville. We have dinner theaters, amusement parks, water slide parks etc.
There are bears in the neighborhood....please don't feed the bears!
