'A Million Dollar View” is the name of this 3 story chalet over looking the quaint little German town of Gatlinburg, TN and surrounding Smoky Mountains. The view is breathtaking as you sit on the deck and watch the Gondola glide overhead on its way to Ober Gatlinburg. Elevation is around 3500 feet. Sometimes snow reaches the Chalet but not the town below. The Chalet is comfortable and has all the accommodations that you would expect, 5 bedrooms, hot tub, fireplace, pool table, pool and tennis passes. The Chalet is close to Parks, Shows, Restaurants, Water Parks, Shopping and many other Family Fun activities. Come, bring the family, build some memories and let our home be yours!
We had a great time and we are all planning to do a repeat next year. The house was great, the beds were comfortable. Driving up the mountain in the snow was a bit of a challenge but it was worth it. We will be back!
Amazing view, GREAT parking and Very Spacious!!!! The pictures for this property do not do it justice, the kitchen and dining area are much bigger than they look in the photos. There is room for 12 for dining in the kitchen area and seating for 11 adults in the living room. The views are incredible and the neighborhood has been spared from any fire damage. We brought a trailer and had zero issues parking it and still have room for at least 5 vehicles out front. Great property!!!!
The house was beautiful & well equipped. The Christmas tree had been set up and perfectly decorated(super bonus for our family). Each bedroom had comfortable clean bedding & all baths were clean. The ammenties such as the jacuzzi, pool table & games were in tact and completely enjoyable. This home provided us with a perfect Mountain Christmas. Also, thanks to Jeff for his kind offer, God blessed him and his mountain chalet. We absolutely enjoyed the fruits of those gracious blessings!
Highest recommendations for this chalet!
The view was beyond belief. And being we went in late October, the fall colors were outstanding.
Gorgeous setting! This house was very comfortable - there were only 6 of us but you could easily fit more without feeling crowded. Lots of parking, nicely appointed (clean) kitchen, 3 of the bedrooms have balcony access & views, all bedrooms have attached bathrooms. (We wished it was colder so we could use the fireplace.) It was VERY easy for my inlaws to get around - no steep driveways, 2 bedrooms on the main floor. The house was stocked with plenty of entertainment - board games, pool table, hot tub, TVs in every room. You can tell that the owner has put a lot of thought into making this home as comfortable and convenient as possible.
The house is well located - short (somewhat winding) drive to Gatlinburg attractions and restaurants but away from the noise and crowds. Minutes away from the Ober tram where there's shopping, dining and rides. In Gatlinburg, we ate at The Peddler which was great! Use their call-ahead seating service or you could easily wait 2 hours for a table. The tables by the river have the best view.
I didn't give the house five stars because there were few grassy places to walk the dog, and it would have been nice to have the option to pull some blackout curtains across the big windows as the morning sun is bright! Also, some of the quilts and upholstery are showing some wear and could use updating. BUT these tiny issues pale in comparison to the other amenities of the house and the spectacular view. We'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience.
The property is beautiful and well laid out. We enjoyed the comfort of the living space as we sat around and had long talks in the evenings. The view from the house is truly spectacular. We loved sitting out on the deck in the early morning and seeing clouds roll in and out of Gatlinburg. We even saw bears going into the underbrush on the hill below the house. We were close enough to Gatlinburg that we were able to get into town in just a few minutes. But the house sits high up on the mountain overlooking Gatlinburg and it was very nice to return to such a quiet, peaceful setting. We initially had a problem with the Wi-Fi, but the owner picked up when we called and talked us through it in no time. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone who loves a vacation in the mountains.
There is an endless supply of fun in the surrounding area. Start with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where there are trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. There are waterfalls, beautiful scenery and wildlife to enjoy. There are an abundance of streams & rivers for trout fishing, tubing, kayaking and canoeing. There are numerous golf clubs. We have access to 3 club houses, all have outdoor pools, 2 offer tennis courts, playground equipment and weight room (we do charge a $10 pass deposit that will be refunded upon return of pass, club pass. We are near Pigeon Forge (great shopping outlets) & Sevierville. We have dinner theaters, amusement parks, water slide parks etc.
There are bears in the neighborhood....please don't feed the bears!
