Tom (father), Doug and Steve (sons) have been fishing the White River area for almost 30 years. More than 10 years ago, they began fly fishing and do so exclusively now. Their dream to build a home which caters to their favorite sport, in a beautiful setting, has now become reality! Nestled in the Ozarks alongside a world famous trout stream is this great destination. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
Some of the best fly fishing in the country and incredible setting!
Doug – we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. Our customers were in the master suites, and they were quite impressed. The house was clean, well equipped, and the view off the deck was absolutely amazing. Everything was in good working order and we were very comfortable during our stay. We are already talking about coming back next year.
Highly recommend this wonderful retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, everything was great, and we look forward to returning to the White River to stay here again!
Everything that could want from an upscale river "cabin" experience. Great view, the inside of the house is upscale yet comfortable. My suggestion would be to at least cook there a few nights and enjoy dinner on the patio. No reason to leave. Great internet connection and sat. TV too.
This place was the perfect setting for my girlfriends surprise 50th birthday. It happened to fall on the evening of a great meteor shower and there were little places better on the planet to observe this than the elevated, dark, north-facing deck overlooking the White River.
The house is very well appointed, clean, equipped and secluded. We packed more than we needed not knowing just how well outfitted the kitchen (including the fridge) was. It was a lucky misfortune that it rained on the eve of our third day as we had an excuse to stay off the lake and just enjoy the deep overhangs of the back porch as we grilled and visited with one another while staying dry.
All of the rooms are very comfortable with great views of their own. I love that our master suites opened to the wonderful deck and that the bathrooms were huge with jetted tubs.
The owner we worked with was Doug. He was very helpful with tips for the area and specific access directions for the area and the house. Once we were settled in we did not here a peep from him as he left us to our vacationing selves.
I'll be back!
Thanks Doug and family!
Great spot for a get away! House was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Great views of the White River, but also close to Bull Shoals Dam, marinas and Gaston's.
Doug was very helpful suggesting a few fishing spots.
We'll be back!
We found this spot by accident some six years ago. At the time our kids were 11,9,9 and 9. Now our daughter is about to start college now. Our kids have come to treat this trip, this place, as our "tradition". We have so much fun here. Playing games. Cooking. Fishing. Lake. Walks. Doug and Steve have always been so accommodating for us. We've never met them, but we can tell by the way they treat this place that they are our kind of people. We look at this trip, this place, as a partnership. We hope Doug and Steve own it forever, and that we are able to use it for many years to come. We sit on the patio overlooking the White River, listen to the boat motors and the State Park campers across the river, and dream about our lives and the future. It is a great place.
And by the way. The new NATCO wifi service is fiber optic and faster than I have ever seen. In a remote spot like this. Crazy! Kids loved it!
This was our second stay at this home on Bull Shoals/White River. It is very well kept and nicely appointed. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. It is perfect for a large family, or a couple of families traveling together. The owners are extremely accommodating and easy to get in touch with. We stay in a lot of VRBO homes when we travel. This one is as nice as any of the high end properties we have stayed at in the Caribbean etc. If you are looking for a place to stay when you visit Bull Shoals/White River, I would highly recommend this home.
As for the location, it is a hidden gem. The lake is beautiful and has very limited boat traffic. It is a really peaceful and fun lake to visit. There are not a lot of great restaurants or shopping, but if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle it is perfect. Plus this house has a great kitchen and grill/deck. Stay home, cook and enjoy the company.
