" This has been a magical, memorable holiday/honeymoon. Driftwood Cottage surpassed our expectations. It was exactly what we hoped for and more, with a beautiful beach nearby for our wedding in paradise."
This beautiful oasis located on tropical grounds in Hodges Bay was a slice of paradise for myself, my husband and our 4 year old. The cottage was such a lovely, peaceful place that quickly became our home away from home! The owners Sarah and John were so welcoming, with tons of great advise that helped guide our daily adventures around Antigua. Sarah and Johns friendly dogs were a very happy addition to our stay with visits that just delighted our daughter!! It is without any hesitation that I would recommend this wonderful place!
Having spent 3 weeks staying in Driftwood Cottage, over the Christmas and New Year period, we would recommend anyone looking for the perfect place to stay to look no further. The cottage itself is very pretty, with large folding doors opening onto a lovely terrace and swimming pool. What a delight to be able to leave these open at night, and wake to the sunshine streaming in. It is indeed idyllic.
Sarah and John, who own the cottage, were unbelievably kind to us, even inviting us to join the party on christmas Day! Always on hand with help and advice on the island, it felt like being part of an extended family. Which, of course, also has to include the dogs, who were never averse to a biscuit or three.
This is simply a beautiful place, and a wonderful base from which to explore the island. It is a taste of life as it should really be lived. We urge you to try it for yourself.

Only stayed for a couple of days and wished it had been for longer. What a find! Beautiful cottage in a lovely garden. The verandah, with plenty of relaxing areas, was really special. We loved everything about the cottage and Sarah and John made us feel so welcome - what lovely hosts. We look forward to returning.
This is a wonderful of oasis of calm set in a garden right out of a Rousseau painting. Watch hummingbirds feed among the flowers while you have breakfast and listen to the sea as you drift off to sleep. Sarah and John are kind and helpful hosts. My stay was everything I'd hoped for and more.
Jason and I spent 6 days in this wonderful cottage for our anniversary this year. The cottage was very clean, private, and peaceful. I was a bit worried about sleeping under the mosquito net since I typically get eaten alive but we have no problems at all! We never once closed our doors or windows since the breeze was lovely and you could not see the main house from ours. Sarah and John were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed having the dogs around as well since we were missing ours back home. Sarah and John, thank you for creating this perfect hideaway!
We spent a wonderful week here at John and Sarah's cottage on the north coast of Antigua, prior to a second week at one of the resorts (for a friend's wedding). The cottage was spacious and airy, with all necessary amenities. The pool was terrific to cool off in and relax. One of our favourite features was the large, wide covered veranda where we ate all our home cooked meals, and relaxed in the hammock.
This was a great place to base for exploring the rest of the island and was close to many nice restaurants and only 15min from downtown St Johns.
Sarah and John were terrific hosts and were more than happy to help out with any questions or advice, and the dogs were very friendly.
A car is recommended as there is not too much within walking distance of the cottage. The only small negative were the mosquitoes in the evening, but that was easily overcome with some repellant and the bed's net worked great.
We enjoyed this much more than the week at the all inclusive resort, and would definitely stay here again when we return to Antigua.
