A strong believer in the free enterprise system, K. Wayne Foster currently owns or is a partner in seven companies. Specifically, he has been involved in the information processing industry for nearly 35 years. Wayne's record is one of excellence and dedication to customer satisfaction - elements he believes are the foundation of any successful business. Wayne began his career in the computer industry while serving in the United States Air Force in 1966. Upon his discharge he worked in the data processing department of Western Kentucky Gas Co. in Owensboro, KY. He also taught computer processing at the Owensboro College of Business. Wayne later worked for Data Services, Inc. and Systems Resources, also located in Owensboro. A management position with Amca Resources, Inc. moved Wayne and his family to Madisonville, KY, where they lived for six years. When Amca relocated to Louisville, KY, Wayne felt the time was right to strike out on his own. With the idea of writing some canned programs for the mining companies, Wayne began The Systems Specialist (TSS). What started as a dream in 1977 has become a multi-million dollar company. The Systems Specialist was named IBM Business Partner of the Year in 1994. TSS has also achieved the status of an 'IBM Premier Business Partner' and is consistently ranked among the top firms in the country in customer satisfaction. Wayne is 56 years old and he and his wife, Cathy, have six children and 9 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, hiking, water skiing and spending time with their family. Wayne and Cathy are active in their church as well as various civic organizations. Wayne attributes his achievements to his strong Christian values and his belief that doing what's right for the customer will ultimately make you successful. He embraces change as an opportunity to excel and believes the information processing industry will play an ever-increasing role in our everyday lives, as well as the business world.

Some the the unique benefits that I enjoy while staying at my property are: onsite washer & dryer, ample parking for RV or boat trailer, waterfront access with covered dock with 2 boat slips.
Had a great weekend getaway with the family! Aframe was so neat and cozy for our family! The kids thought it was the coolest place they'd seen because it was an Aframe! Dock was perfect to leave both boats in the water all weekend! Brand new stairs leading down made it nice! Also, conveniently located close to great places to eat, Captain Jim's by water, and Mexican nearby via land! No complaints for a few days at the lake! We'll go back for sure!
This was such an adorable cabin to spend our full week. We have 3 boys and they loved their stay as well. What a scenic overlook. Lots of steps, but really....I've been a lot of places and at least there were stairs! :) It was a joy to stay there and we were all a little bummed to leave. We'd TOTALLY book this again! Thank you so much for the use of the cabin. Great fun!
We rode our Harleys to the little A frame on Barkley Lake for Labor Day Weekend. Although it was in a neighborhood, and at the end of a cul de sac, it felt very private. The house sits on top a rocky cliff and has 2 deck landings and over 100 steps down to reach the lake for fishing! We loved it, but it wouldn't be feasible for some. The cabin needs some maintenance, but all in all it was comfortable and clean. The description says it sleeps 6, but 2 of those are obviously children, because the second bedroom has tiny bunk beds. We slept in the queen bed in the loft that was very comfortable, and the second couple slept on the queen sofa sleeper, which was pretty wirey. The air conditioner does not cool the whole cabin well, but there are 2 fans that help. There's even a washer/dryer unit for doing your laundry. Everything you need is there! And we would stay again!
We had 4 adults at the A frame over a long weekend and had a great time. We fished, went to the flea market, read a book, ate Mexican in Cadiz and lunch at Barkley Lodge on Sunday, just had a relaxing time. We had a few "issues" with the cabin itself and the location. The A frame sits on a hill, so the long trek down to the boat dock and back up the hill was a bit much for 65+ aged adults. For young people, it would be a work out but perfectly doable. The description advertises two slips in the boat dock but there was a pontoon in one side so we actually had access to only one. That was fine since we only brought one boat, but we had discussed bringing TWO boats. The sleeping arrangements left some to be desired. It does have a comfortable full size bed in the loft but the second bedroom has bunk beds that could use a good mattress and the sleep sofa left some to be desired. Had we known, an inflatable mattress would have been great on the living room floor. There is a deck that wraps around the house plus another seating area down the hill a bit, where the fire pit is. We sat on the deck and drank coffee while enjoying the wildlife. The "yard" is made of large stones but no grass. Kids would love climbing on the rocks!! The cabin is surrounded by tall trees and we sat one the deck and watched the squirrels scamper around from limb to limb, eating the nuts. There were plenty of squirrels to keep us entertained and they put on quite a show for us! The kitchen has about everything you'll need but it is VERY small.( Not to give anyone the impression that we COOKED! ) There was a grill on the deck and even 1/2 a bag of charcoal and some starter fluid. We were able to use the tap water to make our coffee, which was a real plus. We are a bit picky about our coffee water, but it was fine both to drink and to make coffee. The weather was really hot all weekend and the air conditioner is a too small to cool the entire building, so we were comfortable in the living room but the bedrooms were a bit warm. But it was so nice to have a place to come in, relax and refuel before going back out to fish in the evening! The entire building could use a good cleaning and a little work to bring it up to date would be a big boost. It does have a few "aging issues". Everything considered, for "young" people or a family with young kids, it is almost perfect and a real bargain. But it's not made for "older" people like us.
The cabin had maintenance issues such as rotting boards on the deck which could become a safety problem. . Also the cabin was not clean. There was a great view of the lake that we enjoyed. I would not recommend this cabin.
We had an incredible time at the A-Frame! We fished the whole weekend and caught plenty of catfish and crappie😉 Even though it rained all weekend the view was still amazing!! We got engaged while we were there. For that, we will never forget the A-Frame on the lake:) the only con was the 5 flights of stairs up and down to get to the dock. If I lived there I would have killer legs...what a workout!
