Comfortable hideaway with lots of special touches

  • 5 of 5

The Artist's Vineyard cottage retreat is truly a "retreat". The home is located on a hillside with a beautiful view. It feels remote and quiet yet is only minutes from vineyards to the East and Cambria and the ocean to the West.

The owners have done a superb job of equipping the cottage with high end furnishings, dishes, linens and special touches such as multiple outdoor seating and a massage table.

Nothing disappoints here! I would definitely stay again and look forward to doing so!

Owner's Response: William - We LOVE it when people ... notice. When they can feel the love, the little touches and most of all the opportunity to relax, which is quite important. Return again. Cheers! Lisa and Randy

Healing Place

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Lisa and Randy's little piece of Heaven several times. The energy of it starts working on you the minute you walk through the door. Its comfortable, clean and very very healing. Its always hard to leave here. Do yourself a favor and stay! Super close to some of the best wineries and winemakers in the Central Coast area.

The best of the best!

  • 5 of 5

Lisa and Randy have hit a home run with this rental. We headed to Paso Robles with the intention of hitting a lot of wineries, but this house helped us in a way we hadn't expected. Total relaxation! We arrived around 3pm and were blown away by the house, its location, the ambiance, the whole set up. The house quickly became the experience we never new we were looking for. We spent four days here, and yes, we certainly visited wineries, but couldn't wait to return to the house to unplug again and again. We cooked dinner three of the four nights on the front patio barbecue, took naps every day on the front sectional overlooking the valley below, slept like we haven't in years on one of the most comfortable beds we've ever experienced, to the tune of ten to eleven hours a night. Walks through the on property vineyards, owls at night, chaise lounge and a fire pit off the back patio, the most fully stocked kitchen in all the years we've been renting, all in all the best of the best. We WILL be back.

Thank you Lisa and Randy, you gave us something far, far beyond a place to stay, you gave us peace, tranquility and a much needed recharge.

Owner's Response: Bless your hearts. You "get it" ... this experience is there for anyone who can recognize what their body and soul needs. Sometimes it's just the simplest of things. We hope you'll return soon! Next time we'll meet in person and we'll give you a tour of our art studio. Lisa and Randy

Peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful cottage with outstanding views. We woke up to several deer grazing outside the window and Robins cursing around the property. Perfect for one or two couples.

The setting is beautiful, lovely cottage in the hillside outside of cambria

  • 4 of 5

Our experience was excellent, the only downfall was the first morning we were there the water heater was not working and we had cold showers. The owner came up and fixed it and we had hot water by the evening

Owner's Response: We're sad that our perfect 5 star review record for over 9 years had to come to an end. Sigh. This brand new ( 4 months old ) water heater is apparently a lemon. Unfortunately the fix is going to wind up being only a band aid so the whole unit will be replaced. We always shoot for those 5 stars! We hope you'll be back to enjoy this little slice of Central Coast paradise soon! Thanks for being such great guests. Lisa and Randy

Perched atop the Stromsoe Vineyard, a producing 5 acre vineyard of Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio, you'll enjoy a country retreat setting. It's only 2 minutes to the first wine tasting opportunity on the 'west side' in the York Mountain AVA. Our location is generally 15 degrees cooler than downtown Paso in the summer. You can visit dozens and dozens of fine wineries within a 10 mile radius. Be sure to take a sunset stroll on one of our uncrowded, pristine beaches less than 15 minutes from your door!

Close proximity to downtown Paso, its wonderful restaurants and wine events - this location has it all!

Other Activities: Boating, basketball court, shopping, kayaking, wildlife viewing, health/beauty spa, hot air ballooning
