Disappointed

  • 2 of 5

1. Bar stools are too short for the counter. Had to stand to eat our meals!! A table and chairs is needed to sit and eat, play games, etc.

2. No place to put your suitcase -- ended up using the bar stools since they were useless to sit on.

3. Futon is old and uncomfortable. The place needs to be updated. Didn't want to spend time in the condo.

4. On the plus side, great location -- can walk to all the shops, restaurants, many of the hiking trails and gondola.

5. The kitchen was good and well supplied.

Owner's Response: Response to guest's review: 1. Sent 2 emails and communicated via VRBO about directions of which guest did not use for check in...not sure how they found the location? 2. I worked with guest on a discount on cleaning and no damage fee. 3. This condo offers a free, garage parking space and an elevator. 4. Responded immediately to question with items that guest needed assistance with i.e.tv, shades, fans, windows, etc. 5. Owner is aware of updates that need to be made and will be changing futon, adding a table and chairs, removing barstools and other items in unit. 6. Condo offers a full bath with a steam shower.

Aged property with weird color scheme but comfortable and clean

  • 3 of 5

To be honest, this wasn't our first choice, in fact it was the only thing left when we booked for the July 4th weekend. It was right on the street and the windows open literally right onto the sidewalk (you need to leave them open because there's no AC and the blinds block the air flow) and with all the people walking by you feel like you're in a fishbowl . It also has a lot of furniture crammed into it so it seems even smaller than it is and claustrophobic. Also, having every wall painted a different color plus the turquoise bedding, lime green shams, and red and black curtains in the bed area make it not a great place to relax. The $300+ /night was a little steep for what other things that looked a lot nicer were going for. All that said, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the steam shower worked well. Also, it's close to downtown and hiking so if you're not looking to spend a lot of time there and there's no other choices (our case!) you should be OK.

Location, Location, Location

  • 4 of 5

This property is perfectly situated a short walk from the gondola, shopping, and great restaurants. We very much enjoyed having the heated parking garage below the building; although, we would have appreciated if there were access to a remote garage door opener to utilize the two times we left and returned.

This is no doubt a small unit, but had nearly everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is VERY well stocked with everything one could think of; however, we would suggest swapping out the tiny drip coffee maker with a larger, average-sized one. Another amenity to consider adding to the unit would be a humidifier.

The ONLY thing that would make us think twice about staying here again was the noise from the unit above - based on the flooring material and the seemingly high level of activity by the occupants, we listened to pounding footsteps most of the time spent in our unit.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Great location and nice if you have a car because you have a parking place. It's nice sized room but the decor is a bit drabby. Kitchen is great and functional. No stairs to climb to get to the room. Wifi was pitiful but the library wifi is 20ft away and works great. Windows are right on the street so I had to keep shades up for privacy which also precluded letting the sunshine in etc.

Great location with all the modern amenities

  • 5 of 5

Excellent place withing walking distance to everything. Most comfortable pillows I have ever used and the place was beyond clean. The tile in the bathroom floors are heated and even the futon was comfortable. Covered parking garage with elevator. Place was filled with excellent quality towels, dishes, utensils, furniture and the appliances were very modern. You literally do not need to bring anything except food. I really liked the huge tub with the steam shower. It was the perfect size for 2 adults and one child. It rained the entire time we were visiting and we were never miserable the entire time we spent inside this condo. We have stayed at many VRBO's and this one was easily one of the best. Oh, and they have 3 fans which was perfect for a white noise sleeper like myself.

Go in the Fall for the colors!

  • 5 of 5

Being from Denver I am embarassed to say this was my first trip to Telluride and my disappointment was I never came sooner. The fall colors were fantastic and not even at their peak. It is a very laid back town full of friendly people who love their mountain bikes, ski's and dogs. If you're looking for as Aspen or Vail, go to Aspen or Vail. I think Telluride is much nicer and certainly mor beautiful. The condo was just as advertised. The property Manager, Anita was friendly, gave me restaraunt ideas and took care of things quickly for me as this was a spur of the moment trip. It was comfortable, clean and has fantastic access to everything in town. The condo is a studio with the sleeping area is tucked behind a wall. I personally think more than two people would be cramped, but thats arbitrary since everyone has a different comfort level regarding personal space. The free gondola is about a block away, hiking trails right outside of you door, restaraunt/sports bar acroos the street and only 2 short blocks to the main street in town. The gondola is cool because it takes you to the top of the mountain and down into the heart of Mountain Village. I will be back to Telluride and would not hesitate to stay here again.
