The property features over four acres of forest bordered by Stony Creek. In the center, there's an open meadow with a pond. We placed a beautiful, custom, cedar picnic table there, right next to a second fire pit. It's a wonderful place to watch nature and enjoy beautiful days.
If you walk along the creek you will get to two different spots where you can access the water. One spot has a pebble beach with a semi deep spot where you can dip in. The other entrance features a third fire pit. We have placed a small wooden platform by the creek, ideal for meditating, practicing yoga or just watching and listening to the water.
Our house neighbors the Barn. Occasionally, when we travel, we rent it out to 1 or 2 couples. Both structures are private and sit around 75 feet away from each other and 100 feet away from Broadway.

We look forward to hosting you!
My husband, our 6 year old and I live across the driveway. It is our pleasure to share the Barn & land with our guests!
I am a photo and video editor who came to NYC from Brazil in 1998. My husband is a designer & builder of all things sustainable at Ecosystems Brand. Fourteen years and a child later we felt the urge to return to the best things of our childhood; space, trees, clean air, birds & bees and farm fresh wonderfulness! So we moved up to the magical Huddon Valley.
Bruna De Araujo purchased this barn in 2012
At the very beginning of our relationship, my husband and I, rented the Barn together with four other close friends. We fell in love with the place as we fell for each other.
He then came to spend a winter at the Barn going through his old sketchbooks and looking into the future. We got married and had a child. Brooklyn was lacking what we were dreaming of and with perfect timing we received an email about the property's sale.
We looked at each other and agreed, let's buy it, and we did in April 2012.
Rustic charm, comfort, warmth and relaxation.
The Barn is located in the heart of Dutchess County with Rhinebeck 18 min south and Hudson 18 min north. Bard is a 5 minute drive, the Village of Tivoli is a 5 minute walk.
Omega Institute is 30 minutes away.
The Hudson River with views of the Catskills is a 10 min bike ride.
The creek with the private swimming hole and yoga deck make our spot truly magnificent! Read a book by the pond under the shade of the catalpa tree, watch and hear the birds and take in the summer sun energy.
Life is good at the Barn.
"This converted barn is the perfect getaway for city-folk.
The open layout, outdoor deck, full kitchen with grill, sound system, etc. make for a great place to work, relax with friends, or even have a little barbecue and dance party. Atmosphere is easy going, comfy-cozy. Barn sleeps up to 8 people so it's great for couples, families or a small gathering of friends.
There's also plenty of privacy. Five acres of of beautiful, lush greenery and even a secluded swimming hole and waterfall.
A weekend isn't enough - planning for an extended stay end of this summer!"
Review taken from Yelp.com
We originally booked the barn to have a very small wedding elopement because it is so dreamy that tying the knot there would have been something to remember. We ended up changing our plans but decided to have a romantic getaway before the wedding and have the barn to ourselves. The barn is impecable! is clean with everything you might need, including delicious organic coffee and bathroom supplies. The attention to detail on everything (from custom made tags for shampoos and soaps in the bathroom, postcards with stamps ready to go, to logs beautifully stacked to feed the amazing stove), the decoration is rustic and hip and you can tell this place is a pride worth of such TLC. We visited in the peak of the fall and the town is beautiful! We went for a hike walking distance and popped into the local coffee shop for an amazing cup of coffee and a pastry. Bruna and Andrew checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, they are incredible hosts who go the extra mile for their guests. We arrive to a beautiful care package from them that included delicious local goodies and a cider! All they want in exchange is that you take care of their property as much as they do. We are already planning in coming back to the magical barn next year!
The barn was exactly as advertised. It is an authentically restored barn that makes you feel like you're living in the past, but with all the comforts of the present. We would awake each morning and stroll in to Tivoli, which is the most charming little Hamlet, but which also has great coffee and a gourmet food store. The barn has a great kitchen, so we were able to shop for fresh food and cook our own meals. We also built a fire in the pit outside and roasted marshmallows at night. The location is fantastic -- completely secluded and yet only a two minute walk into Tivoli. Bruna was an amazing host and very attentive to our needs. We had a great time. One tip: Beware that this is definitely a restored barn, so if you're staying with another couple, you will hear the floorboards creak when someone moves.
We had a wonderful time at the barn. Andrew and Bruna are great hosts.
This was the perfect place to host our team retreat! The Barn lived up to the full description - and then some. Bruna and Andrew were incredibly responsive during the booking process, and just as much so once we were on site. I wish we had a team retreat more than once a year so we could return sooner! If you're even so much as considering visiting the Barn, do it!
The barn is lovely - a well-equipped kitchen, nice wood-burning stove, and everything exactly as described in the listing. We made two large family-style meals in the kitchen and had a great experience. The barn is an open space with curtains separating the sleeping area, so it's great for close friends. During our stay, we found some stink bugs in the sleeping area, but that's mostly because of the infest of these harmless insects in the east coast. If you can't deal with bugs, this might not be the best place for you. Bruna is a very helpful host and ready to help when we have questions, and she's on top of the rules for the barn, as they're strictly reinforced. Highly recommend this barn!
The Barn is Tivoli is absolute perfection. From Bruna's warmth to the wood-burning stove's literal warmth, my friends and I can't imagine a more wonderful place to escape to on a winter weekend. We're already dreaming about our next trip!
The Barn is located between the lovely Rhinebeck shops & restaurants and Hudson's antique stores and surrounded by wineries and farms where you can pick your own fresh strawberries, your vegetables or buy them off the many farm stands close to us and choose your bottle of wine.
Germantown & Red Hook are 10 minutes away and we are also 30 minutes away from Omega Institute.
