We are in early stages of semi-retirement. We moved to this area because we think it is one of the most beautiful spots in the world and offers a fantastic climate. We enjoy the fabulous views, the proximity to wonderful restaurants, theaters, arts, cultural events, shopping and all the other wonderful attractions this area has to offer. We think you will love it also!
My wife and I live on the upper flat ; We are always available to respond to your reasonable requests or inquiries.
We spent there 5 nights and everything was great! The house has got all the facilities you may need and the location is perfect to visit the area.
We have stayed in a number of VRBO residences. This was one of the best. The owners were very easy to work with. The apartment was immaculate upon our arrival. The pictures accurately represent the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our month stay. We did a lot of walking, but be aware the apartment is located in the Berkeley hills so be prepared for hilly terrain. A car is pretty much a must. Shopping and access to all areas of Berkeley are only minutes away by car.
Accommodations were perfect for grandma son daughter inlaw grandson--close by coffee shops and eateries not too far away to get to San Francisco or Marin County. Bottle of wine and desserts nice surprise. Only additional item I would've like to see provided would be a hairdryer
My family stayed here for a week while visiting my oldest daughter in Berkeley. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Upon arrival the owners had a nice bottle of wine, a delicious loaf of olive bread, cheese and fruit set out for us. There was practically anything you might need from extra towels to band aids to sunscreen available in the apartment. Overall, this was an excellent apartment in a nice neighborhood in a convenient location.
Great home with all the amenities needed! The location was amazing up in Berkeley Hills with tremendous views of the Bay. Kirk and his wife were very welcoming and provided me with everything I needed including umbrellas for the one week it rained in California...just happened to be the one week my parents were vacationing. I was super comfortable and was able to maintain my own privacy. There is so much to do in the area from the Regional Parks on the other side of the hill to downtown Berkeley, only a short drive to the Bay Bridge. Thanks again Kirk!
My husband and I had a wonderful time, staying in Kirk and Jaleh's apartment for three and a half weeks. The apartment is lovely; clean, spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen and laundry, with spectacular sunset views from the living room and deck. Our hosts were generous and gracious, welcoming us with wine and chocolate cake. What could be better !
We found grocery stores and restaurants within an easy, short drive, or a more rigorous walk.
I recommend this apartment without hesitation.
