Residenza Mansi I
The ultimate in luxury! A Broadway Producer's Private Retreat in the heart of Lucca’s 'centro storico.' Every possible care has been taken to furnish and present this apartment in a luxurious and opulent manner that will delight even the most assiduous holiday makers.
Exceptionally large and spacious, there are five bedrooms, four full bathrooms (a feature being the main suite’s incredible double en-suite with connecting shower room.), three dining areas, a sitting room with balcony, a television lounge, two kitchens, and a very large terrace with a dining table seating eight.
Tuscan charm with all the modern conveniences: air conditioning, central heating, wi-fi, satellite, flat screen TVs, VOIP telephones and more!
The full apartment is extremely spacious for 9-10 guests. The fourth bedroom is perfect for children as it contains a bunk bed, but the room leads to the terrace, so there is reduced privacy.
For an additional rent, there is a separate apartment on the same floor with two bedrooms and 1.5 baths.
Be sure to read our guests' reviews.....: ...we are very proud of our 5-Star Ratings!!
Lucca is slightly lost in time. It is a perfectly preserved jewel of times gone by, yet it has all the modern conveniences. It boasts an opera company (Lucca is the birthplace of Puccini), a theatre, a soccer team, and many museums. Beyond all that Lucca has to offer, it is the perfect base to explore Tuscany and the Italian Riviera.
I just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful time in Lucca!
Your manager, Andrea, was incredible and he was there to answer every question and to help in any way that he could (he even escorted us to the eye doctor!). Riccardo, the driver you recommended, was amazing and took such great care of us. The accommodations were perfect and I’m having a hard time sleeping in my own bed after sleeping on that comfy bed. Also, I got engaged while I was there so Lucca will always have a special place in my heart!
Thank you again!
Wrote a review (terrific) yesterday, did you receive it. After an hour of editing and writing, I submitted it and then the response said an error occurred. Tried to save it or send it again...did you receive?
We have three boys (ages 17, 14 and 10) and this was our first time taking the kids to Italy. After a week sight seeing in the cities, we wanted time in the countryside. Lucca was recommended by many as something unique, and that was definitely our experience. Staying at Residenca Mansi for four nights was a great way to enjoy Lucca. The apartment is very spacious (more than we needed) and has many luxurious comforts throughout the apartment. My only complaint is that our stay was too short! The kitchen has everything you need for wonderful meals, and there is a beautiful loggia as well as indoor dining room. The rainforest shower in the master is a real treat! We used Charles' recommendations for places to eat, and enjoyed each meal. The kids felt comfortable walking around town on their own to get a gelatto, or just explore. We rented bikes one morning and biked from town, along the walls, and out to the river. A highlight was taking a drive north to Bagni Di Lucca. It's about a 45 minute drive, but the drive itself is a pleasure. You'll see beautiful bridges, including one that is over 1000 years old, and quaint towns along the way. We went to "Canyon Park", where we did some zip lining/ropes course, and stand-up paddle in the river. A great way to experience the Tuscan outdoors - and we were the only Americans there, but it's sure to become more popular as it's only been open for one year.
We all agreed we would like to go back to stay at Residenca Mansi again - but make it a much longer visit. Next time, we would make it a longer stay, and have a few days just to spend in Lucca, and then take day trips to Bagni Di Lucca, the beach, and to Pisa.
We were 10 women traveling throughout major cities in Italy and had the pleasure to stay 3 nights at the residence. We had plenty of room to spread out, did laundry, had cocktails and horsdoerves on the outside deck. Andrea was very attentive. We needed to contact him once and he responded within minutes, and then came by to make sure all was well. Riccardo, the driver recommended, became our best friend in Italy. We used his services more than once. He even drove us back to Florence with a stop in Pisa just so we could see the tower. We are already planning our next trip to Lucca and want to use Riccardo for day trips. The town of Lucca is the most quaint, friendly town I have ever been to. We never had a bad meal or a bad glass of house wine. The grocery store is quite accessible to the apartment and the restaurants are plentiful. Walking the "wall" is a must. It took about 2 hours for us and we got to see this beautiful place from an elevated vantage point. Thank you to Mr. Duggan and it was a pleasure meeting you and your sons. Cynthia
The apartment is beautifully decorated and well appointed. Kitchen well equipped, full laundry room W/D. Very large could handle a big group of people with the 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Easy walking to everything inside the walls of Lucca. Charles and Andrea very helpful. We ate at several of the restaurants recommended by Charles and were not disappointed. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in Lucca. It was all that the listing and reviews said it was. We loved the pizza restaurant close to the apartment Pizzeria Itaco. The staff were very friendly, food was good and service was excellent.
I utilized this apartment for a one month family vacation in which we had half the family for the first two weeks and the other half for the last two weeks. In all we had 16 individuals stay at the apartment and the unanimous opinion was that the facility and location were superb. The apartment was everything it is advertised to be and it was clean and well maintained. The location in Lucca is ideal as the city offers a relaxing environment yet is close enough to other popular destinations that we were able to take day trips by train or car to visit them. For Florence and Venice we elected overnight stays to give us more time at those cities. The property manager was very helpful. The owner also provided helpful information and gave us the name of a local driver service that proved to be an excellent resource. In all the stay at this apartment was a perfect vacation and I would recommend it to others without reservation. I was already familiar with Lucca and had stayed at another more remote house before, but staying within the walls of the city is definitely the best choice. The restaurants in the city were consistently good but we also found several that I would consider excellent. One night we had a local chief come to the apartment and conduct a cooking class. The kitchens were excellent for this purpose and the resulting meal was a highlight of the trip.
The owner and the property manager were great to work with, they made our stay so easy and so enjoyable. The apartment is spacious and the outdoor patio was such a great gathering place.
What a great location, close to yummy restaurants and an easy walk to incredible sites.
