Why Marybeth (Hawaii Tax ID GE/TA191-983-6160-01) chose Līhuʻe
We fell in love with the Kauaii Beach Resort on our first visit to Kauai. When we had the opportunity to purchase a unit, we jumped onboard. This is still our favorite place to stay and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. There is so much to enjoy and do here whether you want to just kick back and relax or do something totally adventurous.
What makes this Hotel unique
The room is on the top floor with a direct ocean view and, being the corner suite, it has a wrap around lanai that is unique. It is very private and quiet with a gorgeous ocean view. The location is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Hanging out at the pool bar is one of our favorite things to do and where you can meet the most interesting people. Situated in one of the most convenient locations on Kauai, the Resort is a quick ten minute shuttle ride from the Lihue International Airport and very central to shopping, championship golf, and all of Kauai's great activities, sites, and adventures. The full-service resort offers exceptional personal service, newly renovated accommodations, authentic Hawaiian entertainment, restaurants and bars, spa and fitness amenities, 4 magnificent pools with waterfalls and a Giant Slide, extensive meeting and conference facilities, plus all the additional features that are expected in a luxury hotel. People who come to the Kauai Beach Resort find themselves in a friendly, comfortable environment where they can relax and feel at home after a day of exploring the island. Kauai Beach Resort is an oceanfront resort situated on 12 lushly landscaped acres on Kauai's longest exploring and strolling beach. Surrounded by exotic lagoons, cascading waterfalls and a lush tropical setting, Kauai Beach Resort is considered one of the Island's favorite resorts for vacationers and conference planners worldwide.

Beautiful. Very good location, friendly, helpful staff. Amenities were great. Gorgeous view.
We had a great stay. Used all the amenities. Room was clean and very nice. Would go back again.
Too many small issues = reason not to stay here
We are from Oahu and rent a lot on VRBO and have stayed at this resort before.
First, the cleaning fee is way too high! Obviously the previous occupant paid that fee and upon entry I immediately checked the bathroom for the usual black hair I always find on the toilet and or tub... sure enough, found hairs on the side of the tub and long strands of black hair along the side of the tub and on the bathroom floor. Tub was NOT cleaned and or rinsed and someone needs to double check the bathroom after cleaning to locate and remove the black/brown hairs always left behind. Maybe invest in a Dust Buster?
Second issue is the rooms location. Your view is of the back side of the beach-front building! The view from the room is of a lot of grass. If one stands to the far right one could actually see the ocean over 100 yards off in the distance. The corner patio is not private as people walking up the outside stairs have a view right to your patio....
Third issue is the fact that there is no TV Guide in room, the digital reception literally is dismal, and to top if off there are NO regular ABC, CBS and NBC channels. We even had maintenance come to the room to "fix the TV" and sure enough, no ABC, CBS or NBC station.... thus we missed a program we were interested in seeing after our fun day on the island...
Fourth issue is the towel situation. For one, they are cheap poor quality towels, a total of three for the two of us for two days... clearly not enough. Poor quality, too small, not enough...
Fifth issue we had is the fact with the private owner rental you get NO housekeeping service.... so you are stuck with those towels for the duration...
The shower head needs to be replaced with something that actually squirts water with enough force to make it feel as if you were actually taking a shower.
Bathroom lights.... ok, its the middle of the night and you have to pee... there are no dim lights in the bathroom so be prepared to feel like you are sitting or standing in the middle of a stadium... for me, when I have to get up in the middle of the night I cannot handle that super bright light.... but you have no choice as there is no other light, no dimmer, so you go from the comfortable sleep in the dark to a blast of incredibly bright lights..
Pillows totally terrible. Down pillows, poor head support, we both lost sleep both nights as the pillows were very bad...
Much better value to book directly through hotel, no cln fee
We value the feedback our guests have regarding their stay. The following are our responses to your comments:
Cleaning Fee: The out-clean fee we pay to the resort is $105. We charge our guests $55. Also, the check-in fee charged to us as owners is $100. We charge our guests $50.
Bathroom: The hotel management housekeeping service cleans our room. We have addressed your concerns with the management.
Room location: The view from the room is exactly the same as our pictures on the website. All the lanais at the resort are not private. With our corner lanai, you can see the other side of the resort (pool, mountain and ocean views as well).
Towels/Pillows: All the towels/bedding/etc. are provided by the resort's housekeeping service and, to our knowledge, are the same as provided for the other rooms at the resort.
howerhead: We have asked management to look into this situation as this is the first time we have been made aware of it.
Bathroom lights: We are not aware of any dimmer switches in the rooms at the resort.
TV: We have the same cable service that is provided to the resort.
Wow What A Great Place To Relax
We chose this location for our Honeymoon, and couldn't have been more pleased! The view was amazing, and you could hear the waves breaking as you fell asleep! The bed was so comfy- the balcony was a great place to hang out and watch the surf. I loved the pools and hot tubs at this location, we didn't want to leave here as everything you needed was there. There is a parking fee of $25/day if you need to park there. The restaurants there were so yummy, we ate at all three! There is a refrigerator and coffee maker in the room, but no microwave, which would have been nice to heat up leftovers. We loved our stay, and would love to come back on our next visit! Thank you for opening your amazing little slice of paradise to us!
Resort was beautiful
Would come back staff was very friendly
Wonderful boutique hotel that has it all.
Wonderful boutique hotel that has it all. Centrally located between the north end of the island and the south, this hotel has everything you need from swimming pools to a coin operated Laundromat. Wonderful massage therapists, great waitstaff in the dining room, concierge, front desk and valet. The beach is not conducive for playing in at this location for safety reasons but wonderful to walk along. There are many beautiful and calmer beaches nearby. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and it was lovely. There is an outdoor seating area overlooking the pools and a peek at the ocean. The grounds are well-maintained with lush and diverse vegetation. This is a family friendly hotel but our room was private and overlooking the ocean where we saw beautiful sunrises. Within a 45 minute drive of the hotel in either direction you see a completely different terrain and experience different weather. It does rain here, and that creates beautiful rainbows. Expect some rain and be prepared for it but it doesn’t last long. The Hawaiians refer to the rain as a blessing
Great spot overlooking the ocean. Nice beach for long walks. Friendly and helpful staff.
Nice location. Wish the weather had been nicer!
