Wonderful house, wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

Tired of tacky tourist Hawaii? Live like a local in this lovingly restored plantation style home. Domestic architecture affectionados will delight in the original door hardware, float glass windows, and the unique construction detailing of the solid T&G walls, Japanese height counter tops, and the perfectly realized flow through ventilation. Located on the scenic bypass, the road is not frequented by trucks, and the sparse traffic drops to zero at night, for a restful sleep with all the windows open. And speaking of night, get outside in the beautiful yard and experience the night sky as it was experienced by mankind before the advent of the electric light. The Milky Way is stunning! Wake to the sunrise over the Pacific a thousand feet away, accompanied by sound of soft surf and the mooing of cows, and their calves. We loved it!

Our stay at this home was amazing. We enjoyed the real home feeling in this house. The view is amazing, and walking to the What's Shaken smoothie shack was an absolutely wonderful experience. We were very pleased with the location and the property. Fresh fruit right out side our door. Mahalo Patsy for the opportunity to stay in such a lovely place. We will be telling everyone about our wonderful experience. Aloha!
