Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck or your private bedroom balcony, watching the lobster boats off Clarke Island. Stroll down the quiet road to the nearby lobster dock or old quarry. Pull a good book from the well stocked shelves and find a cozy spot for a good read...

Our spacious home was completely renovated in 2009, with modern conveniences, little luxuries, and New England charm. Large windows bathe the interior with natural light and provide ocean views from nearly every room. Perfect for entertaining, the main living area features an open floor plan, leading to a large deck. Prepare your fresh lobster dinner in the all new, well equipped kitchen, or enjoy indoor or outdoor dining at one of the many nearby restaurants.

The upstairs features a large, open sitting area that includes a futon and doubles as extra sleeping space. Each bedroom is decorated with comfort and relaxation in mind. The king bedroom includes a futon below its large sunny windows. The queen bedroom features a sitting area and private balcony with spectacular views. Downstairs, the 3rd bedroom has both twin and full beds.

Before you climb into bed, have a long, luxurious soak in the antique reproduction slipper tub, while gazing at the stars. Or enjoy our custom walk-in shower with its unique river stone floor.

When the mood strikes, there is plenty to do! We are 10 min from Port Clyde, with dockside dining, kayaking, and the ferry to Monhegan Island. In 15 min you can be in Rockland, known for its unique shops, art galleries, movies, festivals, and the noted Farnsworth Museum. A few minutes further, and you are in scenic Camden.

I'm sure you will agree - our Maine vacation home is the perfect getaway!

Guestbook comments from the owner

My family of six spent June 18-22, 2017 at this beautiful and well appointed home. We spent our time at Port Clyde and ate dinner at the Dip Net (try the blueberry beer and soda and get a Wicked Whoopie Pie at the general store), shopped in Camden, took in the views on top of Mt. Battie, saw Owl Point Light House, and spent a day in Acadia National Park (2 hours away) where my son and husband hiked while the girls ate popovers and drank blueberry tea at Jordan Pond. We loved this house because the owners have thought of everything a family would need on a vacation (games, kitchen utensils and basic cooking supplies, towels, magazines, books, and more) and we loved their scrapbook showing the transition of a former quarry general store into the amazing dwelling it is today; you can tell the owners took a lot of time and thought when building this home. Finally, my son was taking an online class and he was able to use the upstairs bedroom's desk to complete assignments via the provided Wi-Fi, my daughter enjoyed taking her baths in the claw foot tub, and my mom and I loved that there was a Wal-Mart in town to buy food for meals. We had a fantastic trip and the owners always answered our questions or requests quickly! We would stay here again! The Roeder Family, Ashburn, VA

Perfect house for vacation!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough how perfect and beautiful this house is. Every room is cozy and welcoming with a great eye for decoration and color. Little spots that beg you to sit and read a book. Everything is renovated and spotless. The bathrooms have all the little touches you would want. The kitchen is large and stocked with everything you could want to cook including a full set of spices. The owner warned us beforehand that cell service could be spotty or non existent, and thoughtfully provided one to be used if we needed it. Tim the owner was prompt in communicating and very accommodating to our needs. Bobbi Joe whose number is posted at the house and Lobsters was very helpful and took our orders for Lobster all week. Stay here you will love it!

Top spot for a coastal getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky to find this beautiful house in Tenants Harbor, Maine. We've been coming to it now for the last four years, so it feels like a second home. I can only echo what's been said in the other reviews, which are entirely accurate.

Wonderful Home in a perfect spot!

  • 5 of 5

We took our 3 boys to Maine for a week and had a great time at Tim's place. It was super clean, big, and completely stocked with all the things that you hate to go buy like paper towels, dishwashing detergent, etc. The boys couldn't get enough of the quarry across the road and I found it like a personal swimming pool any time we wanted a dip. We spent the week doing all kinds of hiking, exploring Camden and Rockport, going to Monhegan and eating terrific lobster dropped right at our house by Bobby Joe (his number's on the fridge.) Fires for smores in the backyard were also a hit! Great summer spot.

Super comfy house

  • 5 of 5

Our first time staying in Penobscot Bay. The house is very comfortable with great beds, very nice kitchen, lots of light. Our kids loved swimming in the quarry and we rode bikes from Rockport to Camden, enjoyed the beach near the house, had amazing lobster dinners in Port Clyde, kayaked, shopped, took the ferry to Mohegan - we had a different adventure each day and came back to house exhausted but happy. I highly recommend this house and this area!

Very comfortable house, fine setting

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed on midcoast Maine and Penobscot Bay many times, and this house is among the most comfortable that we've rented -- spacious and airy, with a fine kitchen, good bedrooms, and deck where we spent much of our time. The area is fun to explore, though on this trip we spent most of our time just hanging out, for which the house served very well. Tim was helpful, answering questions both before and during our stay, and contact with the outside world met our needs with Wi-fi and the house telephone. We'd be very happy to stay again!

Lovely Spot

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I took our 11 and 12 year olds and stayed for a week. Tim has done a great job remodeling the old general store that serviced the quarry, and the house is beautiful. Great find of the trip was the quarry across the street. Kids spent hours jumping off the cliff face into the fathomless pit of fresh water (and this was typically after spending hours at Drift Inn Beach)! Lots of fun and a great place to stay.
