About Kristi Greene
This cabin is owned by 'The Greenes'. We grew up in North Carolina and attended college at Appalachian. We know and love this area and are happy to have the chance to share it with you. We have a 18 year old daughter who loves to bring her friends and have fun in the mountains at 'Where the Greene Grass Grows'
Kristi Greene purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Kristi Greene chose Sugar Grove
We love the mountains! It is so nice in the heat of the summer, because it is usually very cool. In the winter it is fun to visit and go skiing with friends. The river is so natural and does not come with the sand that ends up all over everything when vacationing at the beach. The views are great. The shopping is awesome and you are always family in the NC mountains.
What makes this Cabin unique
Great to read a book and listen to the creek. Nice to sit by the river or to go fishing. Perfect for hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. Wake up to deer in our yard - almost guaranteed!

Beautiful cabin everything i wanted in a cabin rental for my family and so much more
Beautiful, secluded, and perfect spot for a family getaway. Me my wife and kids loved everything about this cabin my kids liked playing in the back yard sight seeing in the backyard. Plenty of space well equipped with all kinds of supplies for kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. The wood stove was just the icing on the cake the second night of our stay we used it and it kept the cabin extremely warm and perfect for the setting of the cabin. I would recommend this cabin to anyone if your thinking about booking it don't hesitate just book it it's well worth the stay.
Thank you so much! We just love to hear when people enjoy our cabin as much as we do.
Lovely, well appointed cabin
We had a wonderful time at this property, primarily relaxing with a couple of days of skiing at Beech Mountain. All the amenities were as described. We loved the vintage, beautiful bedding. My only advice, just in case you have terrible cell service, print out directions to where you're planning to visit, before you arrive. Not having cell service with ATT within 5 miles caused us some problems. This is not the fault of the property, just a heads up for the area in general. I forgot our nice camera and Mrs Greene was fantastic in tracking it down and getting it to us quickly.
Cabin was awesome and we loved the location. We will definitely stay again!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!
My family and I loved staying at the cabin!
My mom, dad, and sister went up to the cabin for Thanksgiving and had the best time. The cabin is so rustic and exactly what we were looking for. Our first time in Boone and hope to be back soon!
Thank you! We are so pleased you had a great Thanksgiving visit!
Cute Cabin in the Woods
This cabin was a great find! It was secluded, well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. Not having to bring linens was a big plus. Boone and App State are about a 15 min drive, great maintained hiking trails are close by, although, our best hike was one that was off the beaten path, we found an amazing waterfall in the middle of the nowhere. It was perfect. We thought about going to Grandfather Mountain but the traffic getting in was terrible, the drive there was amazing with beautiful views and plenty of places to stop and check out the scenery. This cabin was too cute, we will stay here again next time we head back to the area.
Thank you! We always love to hear when others enjoy our cabin like we do!
Perfect cabin in the woods.
So quaint and cute.
