It Never Rains in California

  • 5 of 5

Amazing!! It never rains in California? It rained and was cold for our entire week-end stay. We grilled fabulous steaks (in the rain) and drank champagne in our private hot tub (in the rain) one night. Another night we did a complete gourmet meal (thank heavens for Whole Foods) and put the hot tub off until midnight. I have nerve had a more fantastic vacation! For three times the price we could have been crammed into a hotel room without our own private hot-tub, kitchen and grill. This was my second visit and I hope to have a hundred more. I also like free parking better than $30 a night.

Great Location. Wonderful Patio!

  • 5 of 5

This was just what we hoped. The location was perfect for walking to many restaurants and the beach. The neighbors were super friendly. The house is on a well traveled street but the alley parking and (locked) gated entrance made it feel very safe and secluded. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great for minimalist living near the beach

  • 4 of 5

Great location and very clean. Don't expect any frills indoors, but the patio and hot tub are worth every penny. The indoors is more than acceptable, but not fancy. Would stay here again.

Would visit again!

  • 4 of 5

Place was what we expected. Good location from Venice Beach, easy to find and great amenities nearby.

Sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable, but definitely did the job. Had everything we needed and we had no complaints (other than the very loud neighbours staying up all night, that were renting the place next door).

Hot tub was awesome!

Great location, average property

  • 3 of 5

The location of the property was great, close to the beach and in walking distance of many great restaurants, coffee places, and shops. The property itself is not great. The bed is pretty uncomfortable, there was an ant infestation on the edge of the hot tub, the bikes were rusty and the tires were too flat to use, and the dishes weren't very clean. You can't really use the outdoor furniture because it is left out all the time, so it is damp and looks a little mouldy. Overall, we had a great stay because we didn't expect much and were out and about most of the time. However, if you are looking for a nicer vacation this place is probably 3-star worthy. If you are looking for an affordable and adequate place to stay this will do. The management was great, instructions were easy to understand, and we had quick replies from John.

Overall good stay

  • 4 of 5

Place is pretty much as described in the details and other reviews. Could use some updating, but good place and location for the price.
