Location: Mt. Pleasant/ Charleston County in South Carolina, USA. Seven miles to downtown Charleston and four miles to Isle of Palms beach.

Accommodations: Quaint 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom patio home ideally located in a quiet cul de sac in charming Mt. Pleasant with easy access to downtown, historic Charleston, Isle of Palms Beach and Sullivan's Island. The house has a fully fenced in backyard and up to two dogs are welcome. There are premium television channels on all three televisions, Netflix on the living room television, and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, as well as cooking and bake ware.

Welcome to “Our Retreat Home”

This cottage style decorated patio home is located on a peaceful wooded cul de sac in charming Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina in Snee Farm Gardens. It is just off of Highway 17 and Long Point Road within blocks of grocery, drugstore, restaurants, and a large outdoor shopping mall.

The excitement and historic sights of Charleston are only 7 miles away, and beautiful Isle of Palms and Folly beaches are within a few miles. The house is ten to 15 minutes from Sullivan's Island, which is the site of historic Fort Moultrie where the first shots of the civil war were fired. Touring the fort and its museum is free of charge.

The house offers a tranquil, safe neighborhood, and is both immaculate, and comfortable; the one story home with a fully fenced back yard and patio make for a child and dog friendly setting. It is also ideal for couples since two bedrooms have their own bathroom. With hard wood floors, a wood burning fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, flat screen television, high speed DSL Internet access, and two separate driveways, there are many amenities. The cozy yard is well suited to dining al fresco or just relaxing any time of day.

Mt. Pleasant itself has charming historic areas. Patriot's Point is home to the Naval Museum and across the street is a public golf course. The historic neighborhood called the Village offers shopping, and friendly restaurants serving authentic southern cooking. Shem Creek offers fun nightlife as well as being home to the local shrimp boats.

The owners of the property want to accommodate guests, and will provide helpful information such as maps, nearby shopping, recommendations, and directions to make our house your home and enhance your vacation experience.

Why Arline Stumpff chose Snee Farm

The home is located on a quiet cul de sac in a tranquil, safe neighborhood for biking and walking. Yet grocery shopping, restaurants, and a large shopping mall are minutes away in Mt. Pleasant. My family and I love the beautiful and historic environment, and the diversity of dining and shopping in Charleston County. We believe that Charleston is a city like no other with walking and riding tours of the stately, historic grand houses, and many other points of interest that capture part of American history. Our home in Mt. Pleasant is 10 minutes from historic Charleston and Isle of Palms Beach without the higher prices of rentals there.

What makes this house unique

The homes in our neighborhood are nicely maintained, and there is little traffic due to our cul de sac location. Our home has a large fenced in backyard for dogs, with a patio for relaxing, and al fresco dining. I enjoyed decorating and furnishing the house in cozy, cottage style that fits into the location.

Pet Friendly Home

This home is done so perfect, you have everything you need and then some. This was our first trip to the area and there is so much you can do or just sit back at the beach and relax. Our little 7 lb fur baby felt very comfortable here and the fenced back yard was wonderful for letting her out. Jack and Arline are great to work with and the neighbors were so friendly. Would recommend this home and area.

A Low Country Retreat

For those who want to upgrade from a small vacation condo, apt., or cottage, this bungalow is an excellent choice. Tucked in a quiet neighbourhood among other garden homes, this roomy place is very nicely appointed with amenities that exceed a resort suite - a fully stocked kitchen and fully stocked wine rack, spacious master and guest room, two full sized bathrooms, a computer room w/ extra bed, and a lovely enclosed backyard for dining out or just for sitting to watch the squirrels play and birds sing. Beyond the cul-du-sac lots of folks walk or run, many with their dogs offering everyone a friendly exchange.

Within a few minutes drive in any direction are numerous shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Highway 17 gives quick access to the various areas of Mt. Pleasant - Shem Creek, Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, Patriot Point, and is a direct route into the centre of enchanting Charleston over the beautiful Ravenal Bridge,

Dining out is a treat throughout the area and the house owners have provided menus and reviews of some of the best places. Information on various plantations is also available, including Boone Hall - a two minute drive away. (Visit the Boone Hall Market and Cafe - excellent lunch and food items.)

It's worth day excursions to visit other outer islands, the charming town of Beaufort, and even as far as Savannah, Ga.

My wife and I watch spring come to the Low Country and enjoyed every day of our stay.

Loved This House

My wife and I and our two small dogs stayed here for a week. Great location - ten minutes to the beach,

ten minutes to Shem creek, 15 minutes to downtown Charleston, food shopping and restaurants 5 minutes away. It's located on a cul de sac in a quiet, friendly neighborhood.

The house was immaculate and in perfect move in condition. Big closets with plenty of hangers and bureaus with lots of empty drawers.

Super comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, and a really nice fenced in back yard.

TV's with all the stations and WiFi that never went down.

Thank you Arline and Jack for sharing your wonderful house with us.

We're already planing next year's visit!

Perfect Place to Stay

We went to Charleston for our honeymoon This place is perfect It is located to all the attractions, downtown and the beaches. It was great to come back to a home after a day of touring Charleston. When you first walk into this home you really feel like you are home it is so welcoming and peaceful. There are 3 spacious bedrooms with big closets and 2 full bathrooms. The gorgeous granite kitchen has everything you need including a salad spinner and lemon zester. There is a dining room, living room, spacious back yard and a laundry room complete with a rack to hang clothes. The linens are better than what you would find in a 5 star hotel and the beds are very comfortable Both my husband and I have bad backs and had no difficulty falling asleep in the bed. We also liked that we were so close to every thing we wanted to do. There are great restaurants in Mount Pleasant which we went to many times There is even a book with restaurants and and attractions that the homeowner complied for you. They have many guide books to browse through. We loved this place and plan on returning soon and this is the only place we will stay

Absolutely Beautiful and Wonderful

We stayed 5 nights. The place was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It was more than we had expected. Much more. The location is perfect, the house was immaculate, the stay was perfect. We didn't have pets and even though it is pet friendly, other than the pictures you couldn't tell an animal had ever been in there. Arline was extremely easy to work with and the information she as at the house, was awesome. We plan on going back sometime in the future (it was a little too hot this time) to finish seeing and doing what we wanted to do. Do not hesitate if you are looking for a GREAT place to stay. This is the perfect place!!!!

Amazing rental place

My family just went to Charleston on vacation and stayed at Ms Arline's house. It was a fantastic experience. I would recommend it to anyone planning a visit to the Charleston area. Everything you could need is available. It is located close to the beach, Shem Creek, and downtown Charleston.
