SIMPLY THE BEST!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, our pup Sasha and I had a very peaceful, 3 day mini -vacation. An awesome, quaint, clean cozy cabin w/all amenities and a nice view of Lake Seneca. We visited Niagara Falls (@ 2 1/2 hrs away)and Watkins Glen State Park ( a MUST SEE). Our hostess was courteous and prompt to return our e-mails. I would recommend that the grill grate be replaced (it was too rusty to use/we left a note for the house keeper and didn't think it was an emergency to bother calling about. ) We made burgers on the stove instead. I would HIGHLY recommend a stay here and am considering a return visit. If you are a wine lover....there were probably 12-15 wineries right down the road!!! One of thee best cabins we ever stayed in! Glad it had A/C as the temps were in the 90's for 2 days! LOVED, LOVED LOVED IT ALL!!! M, T and Sasha B/NJ

This had to been the most relaxing place we have ever stayed I loved sitting on the porch looking at the view and listening to nature,we are from the city so we needed it our neighbors were very nice to talk with also.

the cabin was very cozy the only thing I had a problem with was the couch it wasn't comfortable for me but I have a bad back but I used pillows and a blanket to sit on.but we loved the area t was our first time in the Finger Lakes and we do plan on coming back and we want to stay at cobtree again we hope to meet you next time thanks again for everything. Nice cabin, great location, not great welcome

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is very nice and is convenient for traveling to and from Geneva. There is a great view of the lake from the front porch. The only complaint was we arrived after dark and there were no lights on in or outside the house, it was difficult to figure out which cabin was ours, the driveway was not plowed and the front porch was not shoveled. Once inside, the thermostat was only set at 56. A warmer welcome (literally and figuratively) would have been nice

Owner's Response: We are glad to know that you have enjoyed your stay at Cobtree. We apologize for your inconvenience of having to find your property in the dark. A light is usually left on for guests arriving late at night so again we apologize that this did not happen. Our groundsman has informed us that he did plow the property that day but due to the strong winds and bad weather his efforts had gone unnoticed. As for the heating, this is usually turned up prior to guest arrival. These little mishaps should not have happened and are easily rectifiable and we really hope that you will consider us again in the future.

What a wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

The resort is the perfect location to take advantage of the Finger Lakes wine region. The price for a complete house is a much better deal than the cost for a much smaller hotel room. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it to friends.

Relaxing stay at Cobtree

  • 5 of 5

Me and my family (2 boys aged 10 and 13) enjoyed our stay very much at Cobtree. The log cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Beautifully located on a hill top overlooking the Seneca lake with wide open ground around us. After visiting the exciting cities of New York and Wahsington we loved to have some time to relax without the rush and hectic of the cities...

The cabin was excellent, well equipped and clean. We loved the BBQ in the evening while sitting on the terrace.

All in all a well spend time and money at Cobtree.

We can only recommend to visit Cobtree.

fabulous place!!

  • 5 of 5

The house is fantastic, even better than what we expected from the pictures on their website. The location is good too, close to watkins glen state park, which is the most beautiful park in finger lakes region. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely come back if we stop by in the future.

The Finger Lakes in Upstate New York - In a setting of 9000 square miles, there are 11 Lakes and over 1000 waterfalls and numerous gorges, which were formed at the end of the ice age when tremendous grinding pressures gouged enormous holes in the land forming what is now the Finger Lakes region of “Up State New York”.

These amazing Lakes range from 3 miles (5km) to 40 miles (64km) in length and from 30 feet (10m) to over 632 feet (194m) in depth!

Native American Legend says that the Fingers Lakes were the impression left behind by the creator when he reached down to bless the land. Whatever the truth, the Finger Lakes are a wonderful place to Escape to, to “Just get away” and where you can relax and do either very little or do a lot. To explore the many exciting places dotted around the region and to have that perfect vacation. Whilst you are here, why not take a leisurely drive to visit some of over 70 award winning wineries and restaurants.

Golf: There are also several first class golf courses nearby including the Seneca Lake Country Club where you can also hire golfing equipment.

Ski: Bristol Mountain is located at 5662 Route 64, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
