Anna Maria House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-9)

My home is located at 739 North Shore Drive in Anna Maria. It is on the most beautiful beach in Anna Maria. It is a split plan, the master bedroom and bath on the south end of the house, and the other two bedrooms and one bath on the north end of the house. Every room in the house but one faces the Gulf of Mexico. Two of the 3 bedrooms have a private entrance to the 600 sq. ft. deck. You can see the Gulf the instant you open your eyes in the morning. Two couples renting the house won't have to decide who get the gulf front view. I have a table and chairs on the sand so that you can dine right on the beach. The beach is very private, but yet only a few short miles to activities and shopping. You can walk the shore to one of the most popular restaurants on Anna Maria and eat on their deck barefoot. Also, my beachhouse has been the locale for two TV commercials several years ago. There is ample parking for a boat, RV, or camper with no backing up since there is a circular driveway.

About Shirley perez

I am a Florida native having been born in Ybor City, and I presently live in Odessa, Florida. I am retired after working over 25 years as a legal secretary, have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. I enjoy 'hanging out' with my grandkids, traveling, dancing, playing mah jongg and bridge, and recently reconnecting with very old friends from high school, even kindergarten.

Shirley perez purchased this house in 1981

Why Shirley perez chose Anna Maria Island

I have been coming to this island since I was a little girl. As the years went by, I saw more and more people discovering this piece of paradise, so my husband and I decided to hurry and buy a lot before it was 'all taken'. Now my children and grandchildren and their children will be able to enjoy it. There are no high-rise condos here. I don't have a pool, but that only makes kids appreciate nature by playing on the beach, building sandcastles, feeding sea gulls, chasing ghost crabs, going night crabbing, snorkeling, fishing off-shore, etc., instead of playing in a pool.

What makes this house unique

One of the most unique benefits of being here is that you feel you're right on the shore although you're sitting on the deck. The sunsets are incredible, and the white egrets love to 'drop in' for a treat. Even the storms out in the gulf are beautiful to see. And i love to hear the surf. my house isn't luxurious but has a very 'beachy' charm, so i've been told. i have had tenants coming for over 20 years, a few of whom i've never met face to face. What I believe to be a plus about my home is that 2 of the 3 bedrooms have beach views and access to the deck. you You wake up to a beautiful view.

Francine & Family

  • 5 of 5

I have been renting Shirley's beach house twice a year for the past 24 years.

It's heaven on earth! Clean house, with a open floor plan located on the north end of the

island.

The island has a small town atmosphere, soft white sandy beaches, beautiful water with

lots of manatee's and dolphins seen right in front of the house. We have also noticed

a secure law enforcement presence on the island.

Great location. From this house you can walk to the Rod & Reel pier / City pier or Pine

Avenue where you have lots of restaurants and shops if you want to explore the island.

Tampa and Sarasota are close by with Busch Gardens, Motes Marine, Ringling Museum and lots more to see and do there also. There is something for everyone.

Eating dinner on the deck watching the breathtaking sunsets is what life is all about. That is why we go back twice a year.

Thank you Shirley for many years and years to come of wonderful memories that your beach house has given my family.

Breathtaking view! Perfect vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This is the first time we have stayed at Shirley's Way and I can't say enough about how much we have enjoyed it. From the minute we stepped onto the porch we were in awe of the gorgeous view. The house was perfectly clean and cozy. We have felt at home the entire week. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The beds and furniture are comfortable. The house is stocked with beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. We would most definitely recommend Shirley's Way if you are looking for a home away from home with a beautiful beach right outside your door. The sunsets are amazing and can be seen from anywhere in the house. We have truly had a perfect vacation.

AMAZING TIME!

  • 5 of 5

We looked for the perfect place, that would be big enough and yet private too. We found Ms. Shirley's property three years before booking it. We booked it for a week so we could relax as well as have our 25th Wedding Vow Renewal there as well. First the house was so warm, relaxing and plenty of room for us and company to stay a few nights. Everyone that came to visit us while we stayed, went on and on how amazing the house was and the views. We had a really relaxing time, and did not want to leave. We discussed it, and decided that this is where we would like to spend a week every year for our anniversary! BAR NONE, the most beautiful setting, location and Ms. Shirley was so friendly and helpful! All was simply heavenly! WE WILL BE BACK!! for many many years to come!

Our "Happy Place"

  • 5 of 5

Shirley's Place was just what we needed! This lovely beach house is comfortable, quiet and clean and just oozes peace. The view from the porch is stunning, and it's heaven to sit out there and hear the ocean waves just a few steps away. Making reservations and checking-in were simple and stress-free, just as a vacation should be. The house has everything one might need to cook meals, there are plenty of games and beach accessories(chairs, towels, umbrellas, boards, noodles) available and internet and cable tv are provided (not that you even need it with such an amazing beach outside your door). The beds were very comfortable and we all felt very at home. It was very nice to have a master bedroom and bath on one end and two other bedrooms sharing a bath at the opposite side of the house, providing privacy. The beach is just a few steps away, down a path and through the dunes. The dunes gave us the feel that we had our own private beach, and also blocked the wind on a gustier day. Shopping and restaurants are very close by, and the quiet streets make for a nice walk, if you prefer. We walked to "town" for donuts early one morning, and it took less than 10 minutes. We didn't have our bikes with us this time, which would have made it even more fun! Next time. There will be a next time at Shirley's as it will be hard to stay away for too long!

PERFECT - ALREADY RESERVED IT AGAIN FOR NEXT YEAR!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful home- even better than the photos show! You truly have ocean views from almost everywhere in the house- it is a thrill just to sit at the house! It sits back from the beach which gives you privacy on your deck- there are not people walking right in front of you but you are beachfront. You follow a private little path across your own private dunes to get to the beach- little over a minute walk in the sand. Your beach is very private. The couches and beds in the house are all comfortable and plentiful for all combinations of guests. We are a family of 5 with our three sons in their early twenties plus one girlfriend. The layout was perfect with the master suite on the opposite end of the other two bedrooms. The living room area was large and great for hanging out as a group- plenty of comfortable seating and views of the ocean. For dining you have choices of inside or outside on the deck with beach and sunset views on both. The house has beach towels, beach chairs and 2 umbrellas. There is a firepit area on the dunes- what a treat! We rented a bike for each person- $37 for the week per bike (they also have kid bikes, double bikes, helmets, etc)- which gave everyone the freedom to come and go on their own. You can walk 1/2 mile down the beach to the Sandbar Restaurant where you eat right on the beach (also where the July 4th fireworks for the island are shot off). This home is in the best location! You can ride bikes to the cute little town with the Donut Experiment, a Mexican tacqueria, an ice cream shop, a General store, a park, two piers on the bay side both with great restaurants, cute stores, a local bar, churches (all just about 1 mile away). This a slow, relaxed old Florida area - mostly residential with the cute small main street. It felt perfectly safe- a great place to let teenagers roam on their own - a great family area. We can't wait to come back next year and hopefully year after year for our once a year family vacation! You can also rent kayaks for the bay side and fishing gear. The Rod and Reel Pier/restaurant is historic- you fish on the pier while you wait for dinner. The Main City Pier is newer with really good prices for dinner from 3-6pm. It truly is a gift that Shirley chooses to share her family beach home of over 50 years with strangers. This is one of the true old Florida homes with mature palm trees and vegetation. Shirley was also so sweet to check in and make sure all was well. It was paradise!!!
