About Cristina Sampaio
I am an illustrator and a Lisbon native. I live in Mouraria, very close to the neighbourhood of Alfama. I know Alfama like the lines in the palm of my hand, I love its narrow streets, red rooftops and white-washed houses with their balconies full of flowers. I enjoy sharing my love for this picturesque medieval neighbourhood and I look forward to welcoming you to Lisbon.

The neighborhood is an amazing gem and Cristina is a great host.
Great location and lovely property. Great views.
Best place to experience Old Town
This was our first visit to Lisbon but the Alfama seemed the most interesting from our research. This apartment was ideally suited for walking “tours”. The bakery is just down the street, the restaurants near the Musee da Faro we’re excellent, and the view of the river was extraordinary. The owner and her team were very helpful and spoke excellent English, overcoming our terrible Portuguese!
Excellent host .
Had a fantastic time enjoyed our stay
This is a well appointed apartment in the middle of the most picturesque and historical section of Lisbon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Christina is a most helpful landlady.
Wonderful stay, delightful host
Cristina was a delightful host who made us feel very welcome. She offered maps, tips, ideas, and recommendations, all of which were very helpful and most enjoyable. Casa d'Alfama is a terrific place to stay, fully and thoughtfully provisioned with everything one can reasonably need or want. The location immerses you immediately into the unique area that is Alfama, and it is a striking, incredible neighborhood. Anyone who stays here will not soon forget it. The home has great character, exactly what we were hoping to find, and did. We will book again on our next trip.
Located in the heart of the medieval Moorish and Jewish neighborhood of Alfama, the apartment has a stunning water view over the Tagus estuary. Within walking distance from many of Lisbon's leading museums and monuments, the apartment is in close proximity to local grocers and supermarkets as well as neighbourhood restaurants, cafes, bars as well as eclectic shops of every kind.
