Ready for some time in Paradise? Where spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets relax, renew, and refresh you? Then, this artfully redesigned, custom-remodeled oceanfront townhouse is just the spot for you. Enjoy it all from a prime seat on the covered lanai or the tasteful living room, or from the king-sized bed in the master bedroom. Be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves and waken to the sun’s sparkle on the water.
Wintertime brings whales into view, and in other seasons, spinner dolphins, sea turtles (honu), and outrigger canoes glide by. The golden flashes you’ll see in the water just below the yard are yellow tangs.
Every amenity you might want awaits you in this beautiful, homey unit. Newly-tiled floors downstairs and the well-appointed kitchen make vacation living easy. You can relax in the jacuzzi bathtub upstairs. Both bathrooms have been custom designed by the owner, an artist whose work is featured throughout the townhouse.
Just steps away from the condo, past a treasured Hawai’ian Heritage Site, you will find the best snorkeling park on the island at Kahalu'u Beach. You can swim with sea turtles and beautiful tropical fish.
If swimming in a pool is more your style, the resort pool is close by, near our three premier tennis courts. Tennis players love being at the Surf & Racquet Club. They can take a lesson from our USPTA tennis pro, join in a clinic, or meet other players for games.
Shopping, entertainment, restaurants, and a Saturday Farmers’ Market are located a mere half-mile away in the convenient Keauhou Shopping Center.
Paradise. Where life is ideal. It’s right here.

We stayed in Unit 197 (townhouse) in late April for two weeks and enjoyed it immensely. The location of the unit is great - steps away from a small beach with turtles in the morning and close to the pool. We ate every meal on the lanai and particularly enjoyed watching the sunsets during our dinners. The complex is a short walk from a wonderful snorkeling beach and just down the hill from a shopping mall with a large grocery store (with the best home-made pumpkin and banana breads). Sandy was wonderful to work with -- very helpful and enthusiastic. Although the unit is not fancy or luxurious, it is very comfortable. There is no dining table (or dining chairs) in the unit, but this didn't bother us since we enjoyed eating on the lanai. Be sure to visit the seahorse farm (near the airport) if you go!
Stayed April 2013, traveled as a couple
We stayed here whilst I competed at the Ironman World Championships. This property was everything we hoped for and more! The house is clean, comfortable and has everything that you need. It is so close to the sea that you can watch the fish and turtles in the bay whilst still lying in bed! The snorkelling here was better than anywhere else that we travelled to. The surf and Racquet club was a quiet island of sanity away from the crazy race week in Kona but it was easy to drive in and park or even take the trolley bus in along Ali'i Drive. All local facilities were close by with excellant supermarket, restaurants and other shops. If I manage to qualify for the race again then we will certainly look to coming back to this lovely house.
We went into this a little concerned that there would be no air conditioning, but it was fantastic! We had the windows and doors open to let the lovely ocean breeze thru and at night the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep. We actually had to install an app on my phone when we got home to Texas so that we could go to sleep to ocean sounds. The condo is perfect, comfortable, and had everything we needed right down to beach towels and swimming fins. Sandy and Jeri were very helpful and kind! LOVED EVERYTHING!
Lovely condo with the best ocean view. Great location too!
My husband and I enjoyed a 10 night stay at this wonderful condo. It's location is perfect. In fact, you can walk to a wonderful snorkeling beach in about 15 minutes, and the beach you see in the photos is perfect for wading and watching the sunset. This condo is about 10 minutes south of the city of Kona which makes it a perfect location for heading either North to certain beaches, the resorts, Parker Ranch etc., or South to Captain Cook (10 miles) and the Volcano (90 miles). We shared the condo with another couple for a few nights and it worked out well. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and one full bath, downstairs is another full bath and the kitchen etc. There were coolers, beach towels, and chairs available which was nice. The only downside is there isn't air-conditioning (usually you don't need it), and the wireless service is spotty, although in a pinch you can head to the pavilion near the pool where it works great. I would highly recommend this condo! I believe they rent out the one next door as well. You would have to ask.
We spent 9 days in Keauhou Surf / Racquet Club condo #197 from May 17 to 26, 2016.
The condo is situated right on the shoreline of a rocky cove / beach area. It is two-story with approx.1200 sq. ft. of living area. The two bedrooms are both upstairs along with the master bath / shower. The kitchen, living room and second bathroom are at ground level. The bathroom downstairs might make sharing the condo with another couple challenging. The kitchen has everything needed for preparing your own meals and all appliances work fine – it’s a bit on the small side (this is a condo) but fine for two people at a time. Coffee pot has seen better days but makes good coffee and is reliable. The living room is comfortable but the sofa is different than what is shown on the website. There is a small dining table outside on the lanai (with foldable table top edges) but no provision to eat inside except for a very small counter at the end of the kitchen. Ceiling fans in all rooms that work fine (remember no AC) but, along with nearly all the room lights, are curiously not controlled by wall switches. So when entering a dark room, one must find the fan / light fixture and turn then on manually.
We, like many people, really enjoy falling asleep to the sound of surf / crashing waves. We learned after the first night that we had to close the louvered windows (source of cool air) in the master bedroom or the close proximity of the condo to the shoreline became almost deafening – sounded like an 80 mph wind all night. Close the windows and you’ll sleep just fine.
OK, those are the minor cons as everything else is very positive. You’ll meet Gerri right away as she is the on-site manager for this condo and many others. She is extremely friendly and accessible almost any time for questions / concerns. She has valuable knowledge of the area and willing to share it with you. See her first thing and get to know her – you’ll be glad you did.
The resort area is nicely landscaped, has trash containers very close by, a nice pool not too far and some gas grills (we counted two). The location is great – far enough away from Kona (about 5 miles), but close enough for a quick trip to Costco, Walmart, Safeway – all 5 to 8 miles away via Hwy 11/ 19. If you like snorkeling, the condo is a 10 minute walk to one of the better areas for viewing fish / turtles – Kahaluu Beach Park. Good parking area and it's free.
Can't quite give it a 5, but a solid 4.5
There is a fitness center in Kailua-Kona (10-15 minutes) or you can enjoy swimming in the pool or deep blue ocean. Bikes, walking and jogging are also very popular along Ali'i Drive which fronts our complex. Snorkeling and surfing and kayaking are all only minutes away as well. Nature's best fitness center!!
