Loved this house! We were just 4 so there was tons of space. You could easily sleep two sets of adults and some kids here with the queen and bunks in one of the rooms plus sofa bed in the living room (save the master suite for yourself!).
Location is great. An easy walk to Quicksilver lift. Just a couple of blocks from a supermarket and practically backing onto the sledding hill for later afternoon fun. Our teenage boys spent every afternoon outdoors on that hill!
We didn't need to get in our car at all during the week (apart from a drive to a basin and keystone some days just to mix it up on the slopes). Lucky because it doesn't have covered parking.
Possible improvements to the property would be flat screen tv, wifi, a hairdryer (but I went prepared thanks to previous reviews) and a decent toaster. Not much really!
We were staying for mountain biking in June. Trails start right around the neighborhood so convenience can't be beet. Parked the car and didn't touch it again until we left. The grocery store around the corner was perfect, I wish we had it around home.
Hot tub was great but maybe they hadn't done spring cleaning on the yard, as it was a little messy. Internet was out while we were there, so used our mobile hot spot. House was clean and supplied with the basics for cooking.
The property was perfectly situated directly across the street from the free bus to the lifts. We ended up going to beaver run and obtaining our lift tickets. It was steps away from many shops, restaurants, and extracurriculars in the town center. The cottage was truly a home away from home. I throughly enjoyed my time there. It was very cozy and comfortable. The cooking tools and utensils exceeded all of my expectations. It really helped reduced the costs of dining out. The "fireplace" was a perfect addition to the overall experience and kept us warm at night. When the thermostat was switched on for heat...the heat literally came from the floors. It was perfect! The hot tub was a small track behind the property but did not phase us one bit. The key pick up and drop off was seamless! Not to mention the parking spot allowed us to save on expensive shuttles to drive in and out as well as go grocery shopping. We were a group of professionals looking for a great ski getaway and we definitely found it. I would highly recommend this property to anyone! Kudos to the company for the ease of the process.
Location in Historic District - 2 nicks from Main St shops & restaurants & river. Beautiful view from rockers on front porch. By school and Carter Park- great if your kids like play grounds.
If you need black out shades to sleep, there is a high window with no curtain....if you like natural light, this is a good fit.
