A magnificent condominium located on the beach at Banderas Bay, Grand Venetian defines luxury in Puerto Vallarta. A short cab ride from the airport, the complex is walking distance to world class shopping, dining, spa's, water activities, golf, tennis and much more.

With 200 yards of beachfront, Grand Venetian will captivate your senses with splendid amenities such as the Venetian's gardens, fountain lakes, world class gym, riverside walking trail, Infinity pools, Jacuzzi's and a snack bar that will delight your oceanfront view of the Pacific Ocean.

Our unit, Tower II - #808, rests on the Southwest side of the oceanfront building. Unobstructed views include sun rise and sun set, Banderas Bay and the village of Puerto Vallarta along with the beautiful Sierra Madre mountains as a backdrop.

The condo has three suites, all with their own bath and a servants quarters with a bathroom. The luxurious interior is complete with authentic Mexican furniture and art and has flat screen television's in the living room, master suite and the second suite.

About Mark D. Smith

I am the Managing Partner of Marquis Properties LLC. The other partner's are Jeff Vogel and Joel Gonzalez. We purchased the property as an investment, pre-construction, in 2005. Tower II was completed in 2008 and we took possession in August of that year.

It was quite an adventure for us business partners. The three of us traveled to Puerto Vallarta to furnish and do all of the decorating. It was a very busy week but we got it done.

The plan is to rent the unit when we are not enjoying it and someday I hope to retire and make the condo my home. In the meantime, Mi Casa, Su Casa! You enjoy it while we are away.

Why Mark D. Smith chose Hotel Zone

In June of 2005 my family and I were vacationing in Puerto Vallarta. I had been thinking about investing in a tropical vacation home so I took a tour of the Grand Venetian property.

The first tower had been completed and they were close to breaking ground on the second tower. When the salesman walked me out to the Southwest corner of where Tower II would be built my jaw dropped at the beautiful view.

My wife and I just starred at the breath taking picture of Banderas Bay and the village of Puerto Vallarta. It was so hypnotic and stunning. We knew then that we had to have this property.

What makes this condo unique

The tranquil setting of this location offers such a relaxed and enjoyable vacation. Like many people, I find myself running in the 'Rat Race' called life. While in Puerto Vallarta you can escape this feeling.

One of my most favorite activities while I'm staying in the condo is to wake up early before dawn and put on a pot of coffee. I take a seat just outside the master bedroom facing the village of Puerto Vallarta. As I enjoy my strong Mexican coffee I watch the sun rise up from the mountains behind the village. What a site!

Later in the day I'll relax on the terrace facing the West to watch one of the most fabulous sun sets that you will ever witness. Sun sets in Puerto Vallarta are different every night and seem to each have a personality of their own. They are just beautiful.

Beautiful property and the condo was excellent

We had children and grandchildren for our Christmas vacation. We were very excited to see all of the choices for swimming pools. Our objection was the extreme oversight of security. They constantly hovered whith their clip boards and scolded our grandchildren for having water wings or a floaty in the pool. Mind you they are 18 months and 3 years. We were concerned for their safety both in the water and walking around the pool. The staff were overbearing and continued to ask our room number and building number. It got to be a joke with us. It was not family friendly as there were 19 if us. We weren’t allowed to move a chair or lounge to be together.

We would not recommend this property.

Wonderful Family Time

This place was as good, or better, than advertised. Our group consisted of 5 adults and 3 children and the 8th floor unit worked perfectly for us. The views from the unit were outstanding. The owner and the people were easy to deal with and most cooperative. We are already planning our return trip.

Beautiful views and condo

(4 adults and 3 grown teenagers). The condo is fantastic! There are 3 big bathrooms that accommodated us perfectly. Enough beds for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner (a few times). The sliding glass doors open all the way to make you feel like your outside and enjoy the sound of the waves. The infinity pools are right on the beach so you can enjoy the local food vendors while soaking up the sun. The bar/restaurant at the Grand Venetian is great and reasonably priced for drinks and chips and guacamole. We enjoyed the sunsets from the condo as well as the pool/beach. The security is pretty tight, so we felt very safe. They will also call you a taxi if needed. We enjoyed the jogging path along the river, the restaurants across the way, walks to the local grocery store and Starbucks. We even walked to the Malecon one day. The condo was clean and the property managers were very helpful in making dinner reservations when needed. We ziplined with Los Vranos - super fun! Took a boat ride to the Marietas and the hidden beach. 3/7 got seasick. Hidden beach was really cool though. Best beach in PV. It was fun to watch the change of the river flow and shape over the week that we were there. We had a few plumbing issues while there but the managers responded quickly and had it taken care of. There are plenty of beach towels and having the washer/dryer in the unit was key. Went home with all clean laundry! We'd stay again and again!

Great Views-Luxury Accomodations

I normally don't write reviews however, this is my second stay at this property in the last 2 years and each stay has been fantastic. The views of the bay are breath taking from the master bedroom and the wrap around deck. The property is spacious and comfortably accomodates 6 adults. We went fishing, rode wave runners which we rented a few 100 yards from the property, and went to town a few times for shopping and dinner. The rest of our stay was on the property where we enjoyed the pool and the pool side service which was first class. Just a great place to stay and a fantastic value considering the luxury, size, and location of the unit.

Love the Gran Venetian!

I have stayed a number of times at other near by condo towers and was wondering how the Venetian and Marks unit would stack up... well I am pleased to say we loved it and found it superior. The location works well for me b/c it is closer to the beach volleyball areas, as well as closer to the Sorianas super mkt we prefer. We also really enjoyed the different temperature pools, warmer for long lingering stays or cooler when you return from a long beach walk and want a refreshing swim. Also a hot jacuzzi that works, tho the temp. varied a bit much at times. I have always stayed in units higher than the 8th floor, but the view was spectacular and perfect for whale watching. The view in this unit is also 180 degrees unobstructed with views from Punta Mita to the lights and fireworks of downtown. All the arrangements went very smooth all making for a fabulous stay!
