Our Blue Parrot Beach House sits on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the #1 house we have for ocean views as it is perched as close as you can be.
With a lovely color, Blue Parrot Beach House looks directly at the Atlantic Ocean. From the windows and sliders, Watch the sun rise (and dolphins cavort) at dawn over the ocean. The views are absolutely unbelievable! And you can enjoy them from slider doors and windows -- you'll have such fun exploring all the unique spaces in this house.
Inside, Blue Parrot retains the feel of a beloved old home, yet contains updated fittings and furnishings. On the 2nd level is the living room, dining and kitchen area.
The living room is laid back and welcoming, with ultra-comfortable sofas, and a new HDTV. Doors lead out to the patio. It's the kind of space you immediately feel at home in, and you may find yourself settling down to gaze out at the ocean without even unpacking. You're home!
Between the living room and the kitchen is a sun-filled dining area with a table and great ocean views. This is clearly Family Central, the nerve center for everything from the laptop (you have free wireless Internet at Blue Parrot) to heated games of Go Fish. Station the camera and binoculars here; there will always be someone around to grab them when exciting things occur!
The kitchen at Blue Parrot is thoroughly functional with the space you need for food and drink. You'll find everything here to prepare and serve meals, plus time-savers such as a microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and blender. There is also a breafast bar with 4 stools for casual dining.
When it's time to retire for the night, you have many choices. On the 2nd floor is the master bedroom with queen bed. Also on the 2nd floor is a kids room with 2 twin beds. Acting as our 3rd bedroom is a loft above the 2nd floor. Accessible by a spiral staircase, this cozy loft has a full sized mattress.
But, the fun has only begun. Climb the spiral stairs to the 1st floor and find a wonderful multi-purpose entertainment room with 55" HDTV, game system and queen sleeper bed. There is also a ping pong table.
The 2nd floor living room features a 37" HDTV, DVD player and receiver.
Blue Parrot is in Summer Haven, an historical area that is quickly vanishing. It's very close to Fort Matanzas, and is just 15 minutes from St. Augustine, the oldest city in the nation. The beach is quiet here, with plenty of wildlife and no traffic or crowds. Come stay in this beautiful spot before it is changed forever!
Hi! My name is Steve Milo and I started Vacation Rental Pros in 2006. Our family stays in vacation rental homes whenever we travel, both domestically and abroad! I own several vacation homes and listen carefully to all our guests' feedback. Our greatest compliment is when folks refer Vacation Rental Pros to their friends and relatives. We now manage over 1,800 properties in Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. We have homes in Ft. Myers Beach, Orlando, St. Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra Beach, Hilton Head and Gatlinburg. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2016. Please call if you need help booking your dream vacation!
We started out on the Gulf and the oil came in (Thanks BP) so we got on line and found this great place in St. Augustine. We contacted Vacation Rental Pros late on Friday and we were enjoying the Atlantic coast by 3:00 on Saturday. Had a great week in a really neat city. Aside from the ocean, there is certainly plenty to do in this historic area.
Great house and beach for families! Fantastic views of the ocean! We enjoyed the private access to what felt like a private clean beach. The house was clean and very comfortable with great beachy decor. Kitchen had every thing we needed. We appreciated the outdoor shower and the security of entrance. Low tide gives a lot of beach and surfing waves way out without going in deep water. All was perfect except two things: many dishes from dishwasher had to be rewashed, paper plates fixed that. And at high tide the water covers the bottom 2 or 3 steps of beach access and waves making it difficult to access the steps...but high tide was a perfect time to nap, sun on the deck, or sight see. Then get in more swimming before nightfall. Would we rent this house again? ABSOLUTELY! !
The location could not be more perfect. However when I attempted to re-book for next year I was told that the price had increased by $2000....that's a rather large jump and I felt it was excessive
The house was awesome the view was beautiful .my family had the best time and will definantly rent again
This was our second year at the Lovely Beach house. Location and views are the best. House is comfortable and clean.
Exterior: The house sits at the end of a private beach. At high tide and during storms, the beach access is minimal as the water comes way up to the rocks. It is neat that you sit right on the beach, but keep it in mind as your private beach disappears during some parts of the day. No worries though as you can walk a few hundred feet down to enjoy open areas. You have access to the beach from the house, but have to cross a few rocks along the way. The backyard could have been kept up a bit more. The view from the back deck is amazing. Very private and quiet. The sliding doors do not lock or open very well, but the overall security can be managed by visitors fairly well. Interior: Great view from the living area out to the open ocean. A bit outdated furniture, but relatively comfortable for a beach house. Small bedrooms, especially the loft area. The loft is suitable for only young couples or children. The kitchen appliances could be updated, especially the oven as it takes extra long to cook/bake. Misc: The house provides many beach items for you like beach chairs, balls, umbrella, sand castle equip, etc.
