This apartment has a perfect location with a lot of metro stations within walking distance. The apartment itself is very nice and clean & well equipped. The concierge is available for all kind of questions.
Was a great place to stay. Less expensive than a hotel had all you needed in the kitchen to eat in if desired. Would definitely stay again & recommend it to anyone wanting a step up from a hotel room.
My four night stay was fantastic. The building is secure, concierge service is great, the apartment is quiet and comfortable and the rooftop terrace is absolutely superb with stunning 360 degree views. Luxurious bed, ultra modern, well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a rain shower. Heaps of closet space. Great view of adjacent architecture. Big TV, efficient A/C and fast wifi. The washer/dryer inside the apt were an absolute bonus. A very positive and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.
We traveled to New York so I could have major ankle surgery, and stayed in this apartment for almost three weeks while I recovered. The price was excellent, and it's been a wonderful place to stay.
Aside from a couple small maintenance issues (burnt-out bulbs as noted in previous reviews, loose drawer handles, finicky window blind), we've found it very clean and comfortable. It's been plenty big enough for the two of us, even being in the apartment all day long -- I've really enjoyed sitting by the window in the afternoon sun. The washer/dryer made packing for a long stay much easier, and there's also a hair-dryer in the cabinet, so skip packing yours. Towels and linens were good quality, and the queen bed was comfortable -- I spent two weeks resting in it, so I should know! It would be nice if the large flat-screen TV were wall-mounted for easier watching from bed, but we brought our Roku along and were reasonably happy watching Netflix. Wifi hiccuped a couple times, but generally my husband had no trouble working remotely. We didn't cook beyond making tea and reheating leftovers, but the kitchen is reasonably equipped. If accessibility is a concern, the building has an elevator; I had some trouble getting in and out of the shower, but the small layout was easy to manage on crutches.
The location was extremely convenient. It's right next to Hanover Square, so there are tons of great food truck options for lunch, and there are several good restaurants within a block or two (we liked the pizza at Adrienne's and the fish and chips at the Full Shilling Pub). The 2-3 subway stop is about a block away, and we've found it easy to get all across town from there. The neighborhood bustles during the day but is quiet on evenings and weekends. There's a Duane Reade right across the street and delis/supermarkets close by, or you can use FreshDirect to order groceries. You have access to the rooftop lounge and to the gym/lounge area on the 18th floor, and there is a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel that's located in the other half of the building.
Overall, we've really enjoyed our visit, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we need another long-term rental.
After looking at the exorbitant prices for a basic hotel room in NYC, I decided to give VRBO a shot - and I found a great deal on this apt. The bed, kitchen and bathroom have appointments that equal a high-end hotel for luxury (great towels!), and although the place is small - it is a studio - it's reasonably comfortable to hang out in for the evening. The building doorman and concierge were great (the doorman even came up and helped me figure out how to get sound on the TV), and it was walking distance to some good food choices. A few small details - no info on the TV in the guest book, some burnt-out bulbs - but all in all a really good value. I'd stay here again.
After reading the previous reviews, I had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately they were not met. Pros: great location, helpful concierge, laundry in the apartment. Cons: definitely not as clean as I had hoped (in fact, I found a Swiffer in the closet and cleaned the floor myself), waited over 2 weeks for my security deposit return and that was only because I had to call the agency, smoke detector battery needed replacing and was told a handyman would be by in 15-20 min (after 45 min and wanting to get our sight seeing started, agency representative told me to just leave the key with concierge rather than wait). The last one I'm more lenient on since it did get fixed that day.
