I very much enjoy my lakehome but as a business owner I am busy and use it very little. Instead of leaving it vacant most of the time I wanted to make it available to you to have an alternative to the mundane 'same old thing' resort style vacation. Stay at my home year round as I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do.
Marilyn Paquette purchased this chalet in 1996
My father purchased the land in 1956. He was enamored by the property's beauty, the tremendous fishing, and the privacy. In 1996 I tore down the old cabin and built the three level Ski Chalet-Style Lake Home with an open loft to facilitate the 'togetherness' that a 'cabin' is supposed to convey. Since I am so busy with work and I use the place only a couple weeks per year, I decided to share it with you!
I enjoy all aspects of the place including peace and quiet, all the wildlife in the woods surrounding the house, great fishing, swimming, the large deck overlooking the lake, all of it. It's also the rarity to have such a large private lot on such a nice lake with no neighbors. It makes me glad I purchased those additional lots adjacent to the property. To me, there is no replacement for seclusion and privacy and this place really delivers.
“I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated our stay at Sullivan Lake. From the minute we walked in the door we felt at home. It was so peaceful and so relaxing. This is something I have wanted to do for years, and we picked the perfect place. We talked about doing this again next summer. Personally I could pack my bags and just move in! The owners are very fortunate.”
All the amenities of home in a relaxing, remote destination. We enjoyed peaceful mornings on the deck or on the water and great family fun around the fire at night. Inside and out, it was very comfortable for our family of 12 (including two toddlers and two babies). Great fishing and canoeing on a very quiet lake! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Home was exactly as represented. Tastefully appointed. Bed was comfortable. Enjoyed the use of the pontoon boat. Very secluded...no running down the road to the grocery store.
We really enjoyed this vacation. The house was very clean and comfortable. We felt it was very spacious and gave us lots of room to spread out. The family enjoyed the pontoon, fishing, and kayaks. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the seclusion of the woods. We appreciated all of the yard games, and other little extras that were found in the house. We would love to go back! Highly recommend this to anyone.
Awesome is what our granddaughter said about her 1st visit. We've felt that way since we found your oasis in the Woods years ago.Anxoious for our family gathering in early June this year.Having fished the lake we know where to find the 12" crappie,& fat sunny's.Trolling fast is how you catch the Lunker Pike...Thanks for the Tip David!
The toddlers enjoyed the pools, pontoon, fishing and the "Dance of the Loons".Grillin' & Chillin' for the young adults, while grandma & I enjoyed the sunrising/setting on the lake & peacefull walks in the woods.
Looking forward to our week in June with hopes of a fall color retun trip as well. Thanks again for the past memories and future family fun shared on the water,& in the woods next time.Peace
We absolutely loved our week's stay here. The cabin, lake, and amenities were excellent across the board. The cabin itself was very spacious and clean and comfortable. The kids loved the lake, the dock and the pontoon boat. Fishing was excellent as we caught all the crappies and sunfish we wanted, with an occasional bass and northern, too.
We stayed here last July and had such a good time in this very private place. We loved the pontoon, the deck and the great swimming and fishing. WIth all the big sunnies and crappies we caught we had excellent fish frys. The house is decked out with every imaginable amenity with no need to over pack. It was so nice to wake up to a sun filled loft! Great place...
Lakeside firepit and horeshoe pits. Kiddie pool provided for use on deck. Public, sandy, swimming beach on Pelican Lake just a short drive away.
