This is my home and I rent it out while I am working overseas or interstate.
It is a beautiful house to stay in because of the unique light and the quality of peace created by the Chinese Tree of Heaven. A true oasis.
Around the corner is the dynamic and hip Crown Street filled with life, people and great shopping. You are only five minutes from the city and fifteen minutes away from access to all the main holiday attractions and yet it feels as though you are in the country.
We are having a nice time in your Sydney home.
It is so nice to have a place that is so complete. It makes our stay most pleasant.
I am giving this a poor rating because even though it says "children welcome", it is not remotely a safe home for young kids. I have a 9, 7, 4 and 2 year old, and there was not really one area throughout the house that I was comfortable leaving them. The stairs in the living room have no railing, the metal winding staircase goes up three stories with MULTIPLE places for a small kid to fall through, and the patio has flimsy wires as the barrier between the outside deck and the courtyard below. We had a great time in Sydney, itself, but we really could not relax inside the house.
This was a fabulous home for the four of us. What a great week! The location could not be better - in the city, but so quiet. We did plenty of walking and loved it. The home is very well appointed, with everything (and more) we would ever need on holiday. So much nicer than a cramped motel room, it really is an Oasis. Lindy and Fiona were a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!
There were 6 of us and how lucky we were to have found Lindy and her house. She answered every question we had, her house was perfect for 6, the location was walkable to everything. We could not believe our good fortune. Her place was exactly as described, clean, charming, wonderful. We bought stuff at the market and had a BBQ one night BECAUSE SHE HAS ONE! Lovely patio area. When it was time to go to the airport, I called the taxi service and Lindy's tele # is in the taxi system so they know where to come. We highly recommend this place. I don't normally go back to the same place twice but I would come back to this place in a minute. The restaurants located down the street are outstanding. I just loved everything about the house and the location. We walked to the Sydney Opera House several times. We took a bus to Bondi beach but other than that, we walked everywhere.
Really fantastic, characterful apartment in great location. Brilliant for coffee shops, food and transport further around Sydney by both bus and train. The apartment itself was peaceful and relaxed. A true oasis! Lindy (the owner) was efficient and helpful. We had a wonderful, wonderful stay.
Unique and charming and ideally situated to enjoy the trendy neighbourhood of Sunny Hills!
This is a fully equipped property where you can relax and feel immediately at home away from home. Immaculate, with spacious rooms and loads of charm. Great attention to details and needs of visitors. Lots of information and hints for first time visitors to the area and welcoming features such as fresh flowers, and essentials in the fridge!
Can't wait to return!
Great location in Surry Hills. This unique and relaxed house had everything that we needed and more. We thought it was even better than the photos. We have rented lots of places and this one was the best with a friendly, responsive and flexible owner.
The House is in a cul-de-sac in an exciting area adjacent to vibrant Crown Street: the centre of Restaurants, Galleries, and Theatres, only a five-minute walk from Oxford Street, five-minute walk from Sydney Stadium, and 10 minutes by bus to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, the Monorail and Aquarium, 20 minutes by bus to Bondi Beach, and a ten-minute walk or two-minute busride to Central Station
