Northern Michigan Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5-6)

Our cottages are located on the west shore of Lime Lake just 8 miles east of Glen Arbor and 3 miles from Lake Michigan public beaches in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Lime Lake is a 700 acre spring-fed lake with crystal clear waters perfect for all water activities. Whether sailing, waterskiing or just floating in a tube, there is something for everyone. With brown trout, small mouth bass and abundant pan fish, it’s great fun for kids of all ages.

We offer over 400 feet of sandy shoreline that is safe for children as it deepens gradually. Our lakefront cottages are surrounded by a large lawn area and each cottage comes with its own dock, 14-foot Lund aluminum boat, picnic table and charcoal grill.

Built in the 1950’s and reminiscent of summer cottages of days past, the cottages have been updated with modern conveniences. Each cottage has two bedrooms, fully-equipped kitchenettes, living room with cable TV and bathroom with shower. Blankets and pillows are furnished, but you must bring your own sheets and towels. We are proud of the clean, well-kept condition of the cottage and grounds and are confident you will enjoy your stay with us.

What makes this cottage unique

We are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery and attractions that Northern Michigan has to offer. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore offers miles of public Lake Michigan beaches and plenty of hiking trails. You can visit the historic Leland Harbor and Fishtown (even take the ferry to South Manitou Island for a day). Winery tours, Interlochen National Music Camp and shopping in Leland, Glen Arbor and Northport are just a few of the opportunities available! This area has some of the finest fishing in all of Michigan. Lime Lake is noted for its brown trout and small mouth bass. There are also pike, perch and abundant panfish. Lake Michigan, Glen Lake and Lake Leelanau and noted rivers like the Betsie, Platte and Crystal are only minutes away - a true fisherman's dream!

Excellent stay in clean and comfortable lakeside cottage

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a three night stay at this lakeside cottage. We found Cottage #2 to be exceptionally clean and comfortable. Fully furnished with more than we needed! Comfortable queen bed, other bedroom had bunk beds. We took advantage of the firepit, right on the west shore of Lime Lake. We also brought a trolling motor and took the Lund aluminum boat out for a "sunset cruise". We saw a bald eagle while we were on the water! *bonus* This is a great place to stay while exploring the Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore, Glen Arbor, Leland, and the surrounding areas. It is a place we would love to return to if we are ever in the area. Thank you for providing such a lovely cottage.
