great house that is stocked with everything you need and a great view!
This house was perfect and had everything we needed. The views of cathedral ledge were amazing. The house felt like it was in the middle of the woods yet it was only minutes to the center of town. The house was very clean and stocked with anything you might need during your stay. We will def be visiting again!!
Thank you for the review!
March Winter in Cathedral Village
We stayed the 2nd week of March, and there was LOT of snow. It was well plowed and maintained. The view is gorgeous. The home is a little small, but very cozy and the neighbors are very friendly....our dog enjoyed his walks in the snow.
We love NH and especially the Echo Lake area.
The perfect rental for climbers.
My wife and I stayed for two weeks. We found the house had everything we needed for a long vacation. There’s plenty room for four people, five if you really wanna.
The location couldn’t be better for climbers. The map shows the house in the wrong place. It’s located at the end of Chapel Street. It’s the third house on the left back before you get to the closest unplowed spot to park for Cathedral Ledge. We walked out the front door on three different occasions to go climbing. This comes in handy on weekends. We woke up at 7, we’re out the door by 7:45 and were the first party on Goofer’s that Sunday. My wife XC skied from the house. You could also snowmobile as well. It was very quiet at night. We had no troubles going to bed early.
The house was small but didn’t lack anything. The layout was perfect. We cooked breakfast almost everyday, packed most lunches and ate dinner there about three to four times a week. We had everything we needed. I would suggest that if you’re a party of four that you bring a bigger frying pan. There’s a good sized area by the front door to dry out and store dry gear. We put empty suitcases upstairs. The loft has a lot of room. The couches were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever fell asleep on in my travels. Seriously I napped on those couches so many times after too days of climbing or skiing that it’s my favorite part of the house! The TV works great and has Netflix. The wood stove is great on cold nights. Buy firewood from Hannaford’s
Lastly, the owners, Pamela and Chris are great landlords. They’re easy to get a hold of and answered all of our questions. If you’re looking for a quiet place with a beautiful view to spend some time, this is it.
