'A perfect getaway! Absolutely ideal for our family and friends. I could have sat in the sun room all day enjoying the view! The moment we turned down the driveway and across the stream, we knew we were somewhere very special.' These are just some of the comments our guests have made.
Heron Hollow is our wonderful beach home set where the woods meet the dunes in charming Ocean Park, Washington. Decorated in a relaxed yet luxurious style and full of beautiful art and artifacts, our beach home has everything you could want or need for a delightfully idyllic getaway.
Resting on 2 1/2 beautiful acres and surrounded on 3 sides by water, Heron Hollow provides you with complete privacy for your family vacation, corporate retreat or intimate and romantic escape. The ocean is just a very short stroll away through the picturesque shoreline landscape resplendent with wind blown pines and luminescent dune grasses. The beach is a glorious place too, stretching 30 miles from north to south.
Come enjoy a pleasant stroll along the water's edge and feel the thrill of observing the abundance of birds, deer and other wildlife. Explore our delightful neighborhood, full of charming early 20th century beach cottages or stroll into town for coffee or a bite to eat or shopping. Groceries and other supplies are also just a few block away. Relax in the sunroom or on the deck and marvel at the magnificent Pacific Ocean sunsets or just cozy up to the grand stone fireplace and soak up the peace and beauty of Heron Hollow.
Heron Hollow may be booked as the entire house or just the upstairs (main portion) of the house. The entire house includes a downstairs unit that sleeps 4 extra persons. The upstairs sleeps 6 and is where the kitchen, living room and all the main amenities are located. Adding the downstairs for a larger group has a higher rate the the upstairs alone. This website does not accommodate this 2 tier rental availability so the base rate for your needs may not be accurate. Please contact the owner to get an accurate quote. The downstairs is never rented out separately guaranteeing complete privacy for you and your group.

We are tile makers and artists and avid home remodelers. We love to travel and have stayed at many vacation rentals ourselves. We adore Heron Hollow and when it is not rented, spend much time there ourselves as do our family and friends. As a result, Heron Hollow has a comfortable, home like atmosphere with much character that reflects our unique taste and love of art.

Enchantingly beautiful and unique location. Fairly close to our home yet far enough to feel away from it all. Our dogs adore the beach and can't wait to get there.
The view, the gorgeous setting, the fireplace. Walking along the beach and through the town. Convenient access to all necessary supplies. Privacy and quiet.
WOW what a great place at the beach. There were 10 of us celebrating my husband's birthday. We rented the whole house and we had a wonderful time. The pictures on line were exactly as we found the house. It was lovely and the kitchen was fabulous. We gathered around the kitchen table for some super delicious family meals and had so much fun. Everyone agreed the Heron House was reasonably priced, the arrangements were easy to make, the location was perfect, we were able to bring our dog, we had lots of room and it was oh so comfortable. We'll definitely do this again. Thank you Heron House!
We had a terrific family vacation at Heron Hollow. It was every bit as good as we hoped. There were ten of us plus my son's Lab. All ages from one to seventy three and suited us all perfectly. The pictures as good as they are, don't really do justice to this wonderful place.
I would recommend to anyone wanting a location for a family gathering

We went to Heron Hollow for our annual girls' getaway. There were nine of us so we used the entire house. The setting is amazing and the weather was perfect! Everything was provided and we all loved the home, especially being able to sit out on the deck with a view of the ocean and listening to all the wonderful sounds. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to have privacy but be just a short distance from all amenities. We will definitely consider returning on one of our next getaways!
Heron Hollow was an all-around winner for our family stay! The home is very comfortable, spacious and affordable, and is located on the beach and close to town. There is a fully operational kitchen with tons of utensils, plenty of dishes and a fun coffee bar. The beds are super comfy, and there is plenty of extra towels and linens. Our favorite room in the house is the sun room - just off the kitchen. It is a perfect spot for viewing the ocean, while sipping your morning cup of java, or just relaxing with a good book! The upstairs wood burning fire place adds a real homey-feel; very enjoyable. Lots of beautiful artwork add to the pleasant décor, and interesting books and magazines abound. Outside, there is a spacious deck to enjoy, with lots of outdoor furniture. This home is extremely family-friendly, and we look forward to staying at Heron Hollow again!
This is a wonderful, very large home with wonderful ocean views. Hike to the beach is great exercise and very dog friendly. We had 72 degree weather and sun in October! Would come back in a heartbeat.
This was a wonderful and very large vacation home with a wonderful view! Hike to the beach was great exercise and dog friendly. We lucked out with 72 degree weather and sun! Would come back in a heartbeat! Owner very helpful.
The long beach peninsula is just 2 miles wide has 30 miles of unbroken beach on the ocean side and the bay side has wildlife refuges and oyster farming. The area was originally developed at the end of the 19th century as a getaway destination from Portland and Seattle and the local towns have many charming beach cottages from that era. The area also has several state parks and the Lewis and Clark National park. The unique flat terrain is great for bicycling. Fishing, crabbing, clamming and wildlife viewing are typical local pastimes.
