About Michelle Schultz


I’ve owned and operated my own travel agency, Travelfax, since 1978, and started coming to Maui in the late1960’s. In 2006 I fell in love with Aina Nalu while on a family trip and purchased my first unit, D208. I have managed several units in the Aina Nalu complex, including my own, and love the friendly staff and environment. While my home is in Marin County just north of San Francisco, I spend as much time as I can in Maui. Beautiful pool

Nice condo, beautiful pool and grounds. Guards are very attentive to who is using the pool and behavior (in a good way) Can hear everyone around you in condo. Can park for free on street, but there is no parking to be found and its pretty far to the condo, so the reality is you need to pay $20 a day and get the parking pass. I think they should just tell you that.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the input - wish the owners had some control over the parking situation but I would always want my renters to have options. Street parking is available but not neccessarily right at the resort and there is a parking lot across the street for 12.00. The noise level does depend on who is staying around you, their age, and if they have children. I stay there for months and it seems very quiet but I don't come during the high season. Try during the low season!

Clean, beautiful condo in good location

We had a great experience at this condo. It's location within the complex is great. It is beautifully remodeled, clean, and had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. It was even better in person than what we expected from the pictures which usually isn't the case. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The owner is kind and wonderful to work with. Check in and out was super slick. Walk a block to the wharf and front street with tons of restaurants and shopping along the shoreline. Do yourself a favor and get your shave ice at ululani's shave ice a few blocks down. It will change your life. We would definitely stay here again!

wonderful unit, location & facilities

The unit was better than expected and is truly worth the rental cost.The unit was very well equipped and superbly maintained. All are questions were answered and concerns , which were minor, dealt with immediately.The unit was very comfortable, clean & quite and all our needs were met. My only thoughts are that a few more regular drinking glasses were definitely needed.

We have rented condos and houses all over the world and this was definitely one of the best, it even had a kettle & a tea pot which for tea drinking Canadians was very nice surprise usually not found in the USA. I had brought a small tea pot with me but it was not needed. I left it there as a token of appreciation.

The resort is perfectly located in Lahaina - close enough to walk to all the restaurants/happy hours on the main street but far enough back from the activity to be quiet. The pools are both beautiful and maintained at a good temperature. The cost of parking and the resort attitude towards it is rather a pain ,but hopefully Michelle has a plan to deal with that issue.

I would whole heartedly recommend this suite.

almost perfect!!!

loved the place! it was clean and beautiful! the only thing that happened negative was that when we ran the dishwasher the faucet on the sink started leaking heaps of water around the base of the facet (on the counter). it was half way through the dishwasher cycle when it started so I'm just super thankful we were home to catch it and clean it. i would have hated to have left the condo and had a flood happen when we weren't there. My biggest fear was to be hit with a huge repair bill for something we never had anything to do with. So needless to say we didn't have a dishwasher to use for our stay which was pretty annoying. other than that, everything was great!

Owner's Response: So sorry about the dishwasher but I know I sent my maintenance person over on that day to look at the issue and he said it was fixed. So thank god you said something and I am now going to resend you review to him!! What usually happens is that people pack the dishwasher(tiny model) too full and then it breaks the seal, but you description sounds like a different issue!! Thanks and I promise it will be fixed when you return!!

Great two bedroom, perfect for two couples!

We had a wonderful stay at Michelle's condo in Lahaina. It was very clean and very well appointed. As it is on the second floor, it has vaulted ceilings and lots of light. We were staying in the complex with our extended family and this unit was by far the nicer of the four. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The pool is busy with young children, fun for families but less relaxing for couples. The complex is in a great location, in walking distance to Front Street and all the great restaurants in Lahaina. Many great beaches within a 5 to 15 minute drive. Parking is quite expensive, considering how large and empty the lots are. We would certainly stay here again. Michelle, thank you for making our first visit to Maui a great one!

Owner's Response: So Happy to hear that your holidays went well at Aina Nalu!! We love the location and although the parking is expensive it does make it convenient to access your condo. There are other options like street parking but it's packed during the holidays. Try the small pool late afternoons for less kids. Hope you come back again!!
