This spacious and open 2700 sq ft, 3-BR, 2-BA architecturally distinctive executive home features 25-foot open beam ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, sauna and hot tub. This Modernist/Tuscan-styled getaway is located in a treed enclave minutes from the ocean and Thetis Lake and 10-15 minutes from downtown Victoria. The home is set on two lots with native Garry Oak and Arbutus stands.
Relax and enjoy the tranquility of this very private setting. The field stone entrance way invites you to stop and marvel at the fountain or sit and enjoy a cocktail on the 1000 sq. ft deck which fronts the home.
The main living room boasts 25-foot open-beamed ceilings, free-standing fireplace and an open design with two oversize wood and glass doors opening to the massive deck. The adjacent dining room area is slightly raised and overlooks the fountain. There are three tastefully decorated bedrooms situated throughout the house with 300 thread count linens. The master bedroom is tucked away at the back of the home with its own completely private deck beside the stream and small pond. The large bedroom windows overlook a serene stand of Garry oak trees and native plants. Perfect for a night of romance or maybe a relaxing candlelight bath in the over sized claw foot tub steps from the thermo fit bed.
The modern kitchen area overlooks the stream and pond and offers a functional balance of beauty and convenience with concrete counters and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is open and almost entirely comprised of windows. There is also a sliding glass door to the rear deck. The stream and pond attract a great deal of bird life - from hummingbirds to eagles.
The location of this wondrous home is perfect – just minutes from many of Victoria’s famed sites, attractions, restaurants and night life, yet far enough away from the action to enjoy a restful getaway in your home away from home.

Loved the stay wonderful house, everything was top notch (great art!!)...so private. Sauna in the morning and hot tub at night..what a way to relax. Enjoyed a gin a tonic in the evening on your wonderful deck watching the humming birds drink from the fountain.
Kids (and Bernie our dog )loved Thetis Lake. We'll definitly tell all our friends and will be back next year...hopefully for two weeks. Thanks again Terri
My wife booked this lovely house over the Christmas holidays, we have a daughter going to University of Victoria...we thought it would be a great treat, to all be together over the Christmas holidays...wow, is all I can say! The house is so unique and funky. I loved cooking in the kitchen, which is pretty well all glass, which over looks a grove of Gary Oak trees..it was extremely peaceful. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, with good quality pots and pans....
We played lots of games in the evening, in the very large living room...lots of room to play charades, we also enjoyed tennis matches on on Wi.
I am not big on saunas but my wife and daughter had an infared sauna every night before bed and then started there mornings outside in the hot tub
We spend lots of days hiking around Thetis lake which was only about 5 min away....wonderful trails if you like hiking.
We were only about 15 min to downtown, but seemed like we were so much further as the house was so peaceful
We would certainly recommend it
There is nothing to say but a unique design. I have never stayed in a house where the main bathroom was only accessible thru two separate bedrooms. This main bathroom also had a One foot wide by Three foot high opening in the wall so anybody walking in the hallway between the two bedrooms could be seen. Also none of the two bathrooms had a fan for ventilation. The owners should perhaps maintain the driveway as it has a lot of moss growing over the paving stones of which made it very slippery to walk on as well as the slope of the driveway is extreme. The house was clean overall. The kitchen food preparation area is functional but small for more than two people.
Enjoyed our time in this house and Victoria over this past weekend - for our girls getaway! Was clean, beds were comfy, lots of room to visit and sleep for seven, nice big kitchen and dining area to enjoy and close to shopping! Interesting wood beams throughout house and intriguing artwort . Thanks Pat
We loved our week here. The house is very secluded with lots of trees around it, lovely landscaping and just has that peaceful calm about it. Lots of different artwork and nick nacks, we found something new everyday. We tended to hang out at the back of the house in the kitchen area and on the small back deck where the water feature was used as a bath daily by the numerous birds. The house is neat and clean and well stocked. We could not fault our stay here, even Jake (the dog) enjoyed himself. Thank you Pat!
My friend Kay stayed at this incredible house on my recommendation this summer. She had asked me if I could
write her review for her as her english is not the best. But her comments were so incredibly good that I wanted to pass them on before the year was over. The fountain at the front, the immense and private deck, the hot tub, the
little waterfall in the lovely backyard were only part of their joy. The inside of the place just blew them away. It's ecclectic interior is one of a kind and they loved every detail of it. The bus conveniently runs close by and allowed them trips into town and sightseeing.
Kay and her friend would like to tell everyone that this is a fabulous, one of a kind place you don't want to miss.
My wife has booked this house for us twice . We love it. It is eclectic with a great collection of art and nick nacks. The house is completely secluded ringed by trees with a beautiful Gary oak reserve in the back area. The front deck is huge . Over looking a rustic court yard with a huge fountain. I liked the hot tub(privacy and star gazing) - my wife favoured the sauna(cures all ills). The place is a bit like an artist getaway - but close to town. We enjoyed the brew pub down the way and walked there on occasion. There was also a great lake with hiking trails . Cool place
Golf (two top courses within 10 minutes);
