On the first floor, there are both queen and twin over full bedrooms, living room, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, newly renovated bath, and a delightful sunny, open family room.

The second floor holds two more bedrooms, a new full bath, 3 twin beds and a queen bed.

Outside, the deck has ample room for dining and entertaining with your family and friends, an outdoor shower to wash away the sand, and a Weber gas grill for your dining pleasure. Purchase lobsters at Maurice's or create a classic New England clambake!

Ride your bikes or take a short car ride over to exquisite ocean side National Seashore beaches where the water is colder but the surf is amazing!

Freshwater swimming is also available at nearby Great Pond, and the many wonderful bayside beaches are nearby for watching the sunsets or exploring tidepools with the children.

Eastham is the “Gateway to the National Seashore,” and is perfectly located to explore the Cape from the canal to Provincetown. You get the best of both worlds with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. Our house is within a half mile of Cape Cod's Rail Trail for biking, rollerblading and evening strolls.

Plenty of shopping, golf and mini golf courses and many other activities await you just a short distance away. Drive less than half an hour to Provincetown or Hyannis to enjoy their numerous eclectic shops, galleries and restaurants. Enjoy the salt water marshes and Audubon Sanctuary, the only drive-in theater on the Outer Cape or a flea market.

Enjoy the peace and privacy of this bright, cheery home to relax and take in the outer Cape's natural and overwhelming beauty. Make this your home base for a lifetime of wonderful Cape vacation memories.

We like to speak with our guests prior to issuing a lease. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have beyond our website. It also gives us the opportunity to get to know you.

About Julie Nielsen

Julie and Dave first came to the Cape in 2003 when their family rented a vacation home. They loved the history, architecture, quiet roads and scenic beauty. They started returning several times a year, staying at a local campground. In 2009, they purchased the first of what turned out to be five homes in town. Julie is a nurse, and Dave is a physical therapist. They are both serial renovators, performing the much of the work themselves. They have a young daughter, who is thrilled to go to the beach, ride in her bike trailer, and climb on her play set. They live in southern New Hampshire.

Julie Nielsen purchased this house in 2009

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed staying at Bayside Breeze. We loved the little details like how you decorated it with Cape Cod/seashore motifs and the paint colors you picked, the new wood floors and bathroom upstairs, the plants in the front yard, etc. We could tell that a lot of work went into it- a very relaxing place to spend two weeks! Thanks so much.

Great house in great location

  • 5 of 5

Bayside Breeze was the perfect home for our family vacation. There was plenty of space for all of us to relax and enjoy our week. A nice note from Julie along with a bottle of wine and a few other items welcomed us upon arrival. We ate most breakfasts and many dinners on the spacious patio, utilizing the grill for our meals. We played a few rousing games of ping pong and pool a couple of nights. The outdoor shower was a nice treat. The location was ideal as it was so easy to get to either the Bay side or the ocean. We went to the ocean beaches (Coast Guard, Nauset Light and Marconi) during the day and watched the sunset after dinner on one of the bay beaches. The National Park Service Visitor's Center is right off of Route 6 as you enter Eastham and provides a wealth of information about the beaches, hiking trails, biking trails and coastal ecology. You can obtain a permit to have a fire on the beach at night there which we did and it was one of the highlights of the trip for all of us. Permits are limited and you can only reserve a few days in advance.

Our children range in age from 22-28 and all were very happy and impressed with the accommodations. The house is spacious enough so that we could be together or everyone could have their own space as needed. We were extremely fortunate to have an excellent week of weather so we spent lots of time together on the beach which was our primary reason for going to the Cape.

We bought seafood at Mac's Market several nights and there is a Stop and Shop about 10 minutes away in Orleans. There is also a Christmas Tree Shop in Orleans - have to go there when on the Cape. Ben and Jerry's, Dunkin Donuts and Arnold's are one mile from the house and Arnold's is on the bike trail. There are plenty of bikes for kids and adults at the house and it is easy to get to the bike trail.

We are all hoping to be able to find a week next summer that works with our schedules and rent the house again. It was a great week that everyone rated as one of our top family vacations!

Beautiful Home! Great for family with children!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful well maintained home! Great for a family with children of any ages. Lots of fun games and activities provided at the home!!! Close to both the bay side and the ocean side. We enjoyed hours of beach combing at the bay and body surfing at the ocean!!! Love that there are trails for walking and biking so close! Can't wait to return and discover more fun activities!!!

Loves our stay!

  • 4 of 5

We loved this house! Julie was very accommodating! We have 4 small kids and the game room in the basement was wonderful for them! It's a short ride to the beach which we loved! Only thing I'd say is the house needed a few more air conditioners and the table in the kitchen was not kid friendly but neither of those things would stop me from staying here again! We had a great time!! The mud room/dining room was perfect!! Thank you so much Julie!! :)

Great Family Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was really comfortable and we had everything a family could need. The game selection in the basement was great and provided a place for our kids to entertain themselves. It was close to all the things we love to do on Cape Cod. The owners were very responsive and helpful with any request we might have. We would definitely come back again!
