Puget Sound House Rental Photos and Description

Top 5 Winner Best Vacation Rental Western WA 2014, 3 Bedrooms,(Sleeps 6-10)

In the King 5 '2014 Best Northwest Escapes' contest The Camano House won the honor of being the 5th best vacation rental in all of Western Washington.

This beautiful oceanfront luxury home sits on a level spacious lot overlooking Port Susan Bay on the northern part of Camano Island, one hour from Seattle.

Our well-appointed home lays out panoramic ocean and mountain views of Port Susan, Mount Baker, Glacier Peak and the Cascade Mountains. The entire beach side of the house affords endless water views to be enjoyed through the wall to wall windows or from the outdoor seaside patio. Relax to the sight of blue herons and eagles gliding by, or engage yourself with private beaches and the variety of activities and day trips that this beautiful region offers.

Prepare meals in the fully equipped gourmet kitchen or barbeque on the water side patio using the propane gas grill. Relax in the great room around the stone gas fireplace while gazing outside and listening to the surround sound stereo system.

The master suite has a pillow top queen bed with down comforter, dual shower head, jetted tub looking out to the water, and it’s own private entry. The second bedroom has a queen bed and would be perfect for family or friends. The third bedroom is outfitted with two bunk beds – a full over full bunk and a single over single bunk -- perfect for kids or extra guests. There is also a sofa sleeper in the office. For entertainment, the house is equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, video games, stereo system, board games and books. Internet connectivity provided.

The grounds of the house are perfect to sit and relax and enjoy the view, play catch with the kids, and take photos of the amazing scenery. Nature is at your doorstep – great blue herons, bald eagles, and other wildlife are frequent visitors to the shore with a backdrop of endless views.

Stroll to one of the three private beaches for hours of exploring.

About The Owner

Our family loves the beach. We are an active family with three kids, 1 dog, two cats, and fish. Our home is in Sammamish, Washington but our heart is in Camano Island!

The Owner purchased this house in 2009

Why The Owner chose Puget Sound

After years of searching for a low bank waterfront vacation home, we came across this brand new luxury medium bank waterfront home. We instantly fell in love with it, and we hope you will too.

What makes this house unique

This property sits on a flat lot with panoramic beautiful views of Port Susan Bay, Mount Baker and the Cascade Mountains. It has the water on one side and woods on two sides, along with miles of private beaches, frequent bald eagle visits to our 'eagle tree' and so much more.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Spencer family,

Thank you for being our new friends and sharing your home. :-)?We also had bald eagle sightings and of course your views are beautiful, as are the beaches. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved our experience on Camano Island

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we walked into the Beautiful Camano Island home, I knew I wanted to stay longer. It didn't feel like a rental...it felt like home. It was lovely and very conveniently laid out. There was every amenity you could possibly want. There's room enough for a large group plus there are plenty of spaces to go if you want to be alone or have special time with a part of your group.

We saw many bald eagles fly by and were lucky to have one perched directly outside posing for pictures for several hours.

We spent a lot of time beach walking. There were three beaches we had access to using a provided code number plus several public beaches. While the home is on the water, you have to walk a couple of blocks to get on the beach. The home is perched on a small hill/cliff and is directly inaccessible to the beach. However, the views are gorgeous.

Our timing was good in that it was a week before the tulip festival and bloom time was early this year. We spent a delightful afternoon in the beautiful gardens without the huge crowds the Festival brings.

Everyday was clear so the mountain views were fantastic.

If you're looking for a great and different brunch, we enjoyed Tweets in Edison.

We liked that the island wasn't touristy, you don't have to take a ferry to get there, and it's so close to the city. I'd definitely stay there again.

Exceptional sunrises, wonderfully relaxing

  • 5 of 5

if you love watching the sunrise from your bed you will be happy you booked a stay at Camano House. It's been a long time since I've actually gotten to stay to watch the sunrise instead of seeing it briefly during my morning commute. Watching the sun emerge from behind the Cascades was truly a joy-as well as watching the porpoises bob along in the water.

The kitchen is extremely well equipped for preparing and serving meals. There's plenty of room for a few cooks to work in the kitchen area.

Julie Spencer is very accommodating and responsive.

Wonderful Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We took our coaching staff to stay at the Camano House in July for a staff retreat and had an amazing time! The property was well-kept, the view was phenomenal, and we can't wait to go back!

A quiet, peaceful treasure!

  • 5 of 5

My family spent the week of Christmas 2014 in this most wonderful home. It was one of the best family Christmas outings we have ever had! A beautiful modern home perched just above the water on Port Susan on Camano Island. Eagles joined us for coffee each morning as we watched the tides move in and out along with the small crab and fishing boats working on the water.

This home is very easy to get to, and well worth the drive from the city to get away from the crowds, noise and traffic. Everett is just a short drive in the event the stores in Camano or Stanwood do not have what you need. The home is well furnished with everything you could need other than your own groceries.

The owners are accessable anytime and are terrific to deal with. It is definitely a peaceful, quiet treasure on Camano Island! We will return!

AWESOME!!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 7 cousins and sisters spent 4 nights in this comfortable, luxurious home. It was very clean and the kitchen had the supplies we needed to make the meals we wanted. Even though we previously viewed the photos on the web site, we were in awe when we stepped into the home! We departed definitely wishing we could stay longer! Julie was great to work with. We hope to return for another stay in the future.

Serenity Now!

  • 5 of 5

Entering this beautiful home you are stuck with the view! It's incredible.

We were a group of women who were looking for a place to relax and have fun together and we did! The house is very comfortable. And even in October, the weather was so beautiful, we enjoyed sipping our wine out in the yard overlooking the sound.

In terms of cooking, this kitchen was very well equipped and easy to use. The dishwasher is soquiet...so you can be having a good conversation at the dining table and not be interrupted.

Slept great! And the owner of the house gave us directions on a new little winery (Dusty Cellar) on Camano that we went and explored.

I think you can't go wrong with this home. Property is well-maintained, squeaky clean and easy to get to...yet you feel a world away from Seattle. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a little "get away".
