Why Christine & Richard Williams chose Cape Charles
The town is charming ...older homes, sidewalks, a 'Main Street' in walking distance, and friendly people. It is quiet, with that small town feel. 'A step back into time'.The area is full of history, activities and exploration. Its close proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean provide different water experiences. There is a new, upscale marina with shops and a golf village in town. Cape Charles is a day's drive (just a little over 9 hrs.) from our home in Ohio. The Eastern shore is a beautiful area, some have described it similar to the Outer banks and Long Island as it was thiry years ago. The pace is calm and easy here. We have met many people who have been drawn to the area for the same reasons, with whom we have become friends, and look forward to seeing again.

Beautiful, comfortable, great location!
We stayed in this lovely house for a week in September, and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and the house. We love Cape Charles, and this location can't be beat (super close to the beach, and easy walk into town). Most of our waking moments in the house were spent on the front porch, and we loved every minute (eating, chatting, games... it's perfect for everything!). Highly recommend, and we really hope to return next year!!
The house was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. It is very close to the beach which we were able to enjoy on Saturday. Thanks!
Absolutely wonderful from start to finish!
Lovely and very comfortable home. We had an amazing time.
Excellent Location for Walking to Town or the Beach
The house was perfect for our vacation stay. It was a perfect size for my wife and I to share with another couple we vacationed with. The screened in front porch was perfect for enjoying the breeze coming off of the bay. It was blowing pretty strongly, but little to no rain as three of the days we spent in Cape Charles, we had the remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Maria churning up the bay. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are nicely decorated. It is a five minute walk to the shops and eateries on and just off Mason Street. It completely met our needs and we would definitely recommend staying at this property.
This was our first time staying in Cape Charles and we absolutely loved it. We stayed at Bayview Beauty with our 2 children (ages 2 & 5) and a set of grandparents. The house was perfect for what we needed! The upstairs had a large master suite and 2 other bedrooms which connected through a door and was ideal with the young kids. Water pressure in the showers was great as was the hot water. Screened porch was wonderful to have and we sat out there many mornings and evenings!
This house is in an ideal location. We were a 30 second walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk to the wonderful park. The downtown area was only a 5 minute walk and has great shops and places to eat. Beach was perfect for the kids, water was warm and the sand was great for building sand castles. I cannot say enough great things about Cape Charles and Bayview Beauty and cannot wait to come back!
Great home with a short walk to the beach made for a wonderful vacation week!
This was my third time vacationing in Cape Charles and my second time staying at the beautiful Bayview Cottage. It is an easy walk to the beach as well as 4 blocks to the Central Park and 4 blocks to the main street for shopping. The house is roomy and comfortable with a nice sized kitchen, dining room, and living room downstairs. The 3 bedrooms upstairs were roomy and there was plenty of storage for your clothes. The screened porch is a wonderful place to relax after a day on the beach. The Williams are a lovely couple to communicate with and very attentive. They returned my deposit quickly. I'm looking forward to going back next summer for another week of R and R!
