We both live in the neighborhood and love it. Easy access to the highways, little traffic and a short trip to the airport. There are lots of restaurants and museums within walking distance so you can leave your car parked most of the time.

When I re-visit places I always like to try a new place just to try something new, but this property was so great that I think if I come back to Atlanta I will end up staying here again (I was here for a week for a wedding). Atlanta is a suburb style city so you're going to need a car regardless of where you are, but this property is perfectly situated near downtown, buckhead, and Midtown (which it seems to be in). For midtown you can actually just walk it (if you're from a city walking 2-5 miles is normal, if not, then you'll want a car) from this property, but depending on the time of year the heat may get to you.
The property was extremely clean and very spacious. Normally when people say 1700 sq feet I think 12-1500, but this place really is 1700 (if not more!). The guys live?/work downstairs and you never hear a peep from them except a friendly hello when you walk by. The washer/dryer are a GREAT amenity (they have the new environmentally friendly ones) and not only does everything in the house work, it works well.
The internet is reallllyyyy fast, not a regular dsl type of speed connection that you get at most hotels. I really can't say enough great things about this place, even the beds & chairs were very comfortable. I was even able to receive a perfect signal for my portable sirius satellite radio (which never happens w/o an additional antenna). Factor in the price and you feel like you're stealing something.
Whole Foods is about a 15 minute drive away although there are (at least) 2 other grocers much closer if you're not picky about that.
The property is on the 2nd floor so my mother had a little problem with her bad knees getting up them, so I guess that may be something to think about if stairs are difficult.
This house is spacious, comfortable, well appointed and beautiful. It was a pleasure to come home each night after working a long day.
The location was perfect for our needs.

Our family of four has just returned from our five night stay at Standish House, and it receives our highest recommendation! The property is located on the second floor of an elegant white brick home, on a charming corner lot about a block off of Peachtree Road NW. The location is perfect; it is a quick five to seven minute drive from major tourist attractions in Downtown Atlanta (e.g., Georgia Aquarium, Coca Cola Museum), within walking distance to the High Museum and SCAD, and close to a number of great restaurants (both high end and casual), coffee shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, and 'mainstream' shopping plazas. The home itself was very recently renovated, and stylishly so with no detail spared. The photographs in the listing are absolutely accurate depictions of this spacious and beautiful home. Visitors will enjoy large windows overlooking a tree lined street; plenty of couches, armchairs, and a daybed in the living areas on which to curl up, with an abundance of decorative pillows; comfortable beds that rival any hotel; and ample storage space throughout. Colors are neutral and soothing, with nice artwork and touches throughout so that it feels like a true home. The two and a half bathrooms are sleek in design and stocked with fluffy white towels, toilet paper, and basic soaps. The kitchen boasts everything that you will need for your stay in terms of pots and pans, bakeware, dishes, cooking utensils, and appliances (including two refrigerators). The kitchen also has a high efficiency washer and dryer. We enjoyed bringing or purchasing what we needed to make simple breakfasts throughout our stay, which made mornings with two young children on vacation much easier. Note that visitors should plan on bringing any food items they might need; dish detergent, basic cleaning supplies, and laundry soap are furnished, which was nice. The reservation, check in and check out process went smoothly, and we actually had the chance to meet the property manager, Dee, during our stay. She made us feel so welcome and was attentive to our every inquiry leading up to and during our stay. Our children loved this property so much that they actually begged to come back to the 'Atlanta house' every day, even with all that there was to do on our itinerary! We are already making plans to stay here in the future, both for business and vacation. Thanks so much, Standish House, for all of the Southern hospitality!
We stayed at Standish House for two weeks and it was the perfect stay. The property had everything that we needed to live like we were at home and we have a one-year old daughter so we needed that. The location can't be beat, directly between Midtown and Buckhead. Dee was wonderful. She never asked for a thing or intruded on our privacy, but if we ever needed anything, she responded immediately.
Long and short, it was very spacious, clean, attractive and everything we needed to live like we were home. Not a single complaint.
I knew this would be a great place from the pictures, but it's even better in reality!!
Stayed here for 10days in June/July with 5 other girls and we had a blast!
House: Well designed, clean, fully furnished (including kitchen utensils) & spacious.
Location:Lennox mall - 10mins drive away, Downtown ATL - 10 mins away, Krogers grocers and many resturants are a stone throw away from the house.
Owners: The owners live below but you wouldnt even know they were there. We had a minor issue with the safety deposit box and they were there within minutes to help us!
Overall a fab place to holiday with friends or family. AND it's reasonably priced!!
This is one of the best accommodations we have stayed in a long time (19-30Aug2010). Great location, quite, close to the I85,75, Midtown, Downtown and Buckhead with its night live and great restaurants. The accessibility, safety and luxury of the house add value to the trip. This 3 bedroom 2-1/2 bath corporate rental home is located in the center of Atlanta between Midtown and Buckhead 1 block off Peachtree Street with dozens of restaurants within walking distance. It is only minutes from the High Museum of Art, Piedmont Hospital, Savannah College of Art & Design, Atlantic Station and 3 miles from the Georgia Aquarium, Coca Cola Museum and CNN Center. The Atlanta Beltline walking and biking trails are a 10-minute walk away and connect to Bobby Jones Golf Course. A 3 mile walk, jog or bike through historic Ansley Park leads you to the Botanical Gardens and Piedmont Park which features a pool, tennis courts, baseball, soccer and bocce ball courts. All major highways can be accessed by car within 1 mile.
