Breathtaking, unobstructed, close (80FT) view to the Pacific Ocean and nearby beach. You can hear the ocean roar at night. No roof tops to look at (compare and see our competition). On a 8th floor. Built and purchased in 2009, efficient floor plan. Quality materials and furnishings including fine painting collection of local artists. Perfect NE sun orientation, warm in winter, cool in summer.
Located in Recreo which is a safe and picturesque hilly residential neighborhood short walking distance to the beach, bread stores, pizza places, pharmacies, small grocery stores, several coffee shops, bakeries, and other small fresh fish, vegetable & fruit stands as well as a few small restaurants.
Great Location: Not crowded like Viña central's district by the Marina Arauco Mall where traffic could be horrid. You could take a 15 minute walk to street Valparaíso where you'll find plenty shopping, coffee shops, parks and plazas and parks like La Quinta Vergara.
Use their 'colectivos'' which are shared taxi cabs, really cheap transportation. The property is located in between two Metro stations you can walk to, and visit Valparaiso or go to the interior. There are 20 Metro stations from 'Estación Puerto' to Estación Limache', about 30 miles ride. Come ready to walk and use your rented car to travel outside the area. Parking is expensive and not too available. The swimming beach of Caleta Abarca is also really close, 5 to 10 minute walk. You can take a bike ride down the hill connecting with a paved ocean side bike trail coming from Valparaiso all the way to Vina del Mar and Reñaca.
Luxury Facility: The apartment has all top quality furniture carefully selected, including fine leather couches and various native solid wood items.
FREE FAST WIRELESS INTERNET. Latest technology Smart LED 3D TV's: 47" and 42" with Netflix, YouTube, Red Bull TV, etc. Plus A 32" HD 1080p LCD TV and Sony BluRay DVD player on second bedroom, a 26' LG Flat screen TV and DVD player on bedroom 3.

The best view of all HomeAway in Viña del Mar: Oceanfront: Views to the Caleta Abarca swimming beach and unlimited ocean views. No other buildings blocking the view of the ocean ever. Its like to be in a cruise ship.
This property is located close to everything and well connected to high speed highways, subway and public transportation of all sorts. If you like complete seclusion and traffic noise free stay, this is NOT the place you are looking for.
My wife and I have lived in Minnesota USA for about 31 WINTERS!!!, have 4 kids all raised in Minnesota. I am a Chilean from Santiago and my wife is from Minnesota. We love to travel to Chile whenever possible and this condo is our second home away from the frigid artic tundra.... But summers in Minnesota are the greatest thing, so we will stay right there for years to come.
Francisco Almarza purchased this apartment in 2009
I purchased this unit for my family of 6. We travel to Chile at least once a year and my wife and I sometimes 2 times a year. Staying with relatives is wonderful but not very comfortable. I included all the conveniences of a well equipped home in the US, that typically are not included in Chilean vacation rentals. Believe me!! We like summers and also winters in Chile, really any season is great near the ocean. This property is located close to everything and well connected to high speed highways, subway and public transportation of all sorts. If you like complete seclusion and traffic noise free stay, this is NOT the place you are looking for. We like to have access to the city and the may beaches plus a majestic truly unobstructed, first in line view to the Pacific Ocean. We like the good food and wines of Chile and its gorgeous landscape plus skiing in winter, you have to check it out. Various ski resorts are close enough for a days trip, get up early and be at the hill by 9AM (1.75 hours trip). Viña del Mar is one of Chile's most fashionable beach resorts and a great place to take a vacation if you want go to the beach and relax. The town was founded in 1874 as a weekend retreat and garden residence for the wealthy elite from Valparaíso and Santiago, and it has remained a top beach destination for Santiaguinos ever since. Most simply call the city 'Viña' The sight of Viña del Mar's attractive homes, manicured lawns, and golden beaches dotted with colorful surfboards is something of a contrast to the ramshackle streets of Valparaíso. There are plenty of fine beaches here. Viña del Mar is a busy place in summer but with many FUN and diverse activities, close to Santiago, the capitol for a day trip.
Privileged location, with easy access to the city of Viña del Mar, but in a quiet neighborhood. This is a Premium apartment completely equipped in contrast with the typical chilean rentals. You only need to bring your clothing and groceries.
There are plenty high quality linens for 6. All paper, cleaning and basic toiletry products included.
Reverse Osmosis water purification system (200L/day) under kitchen sink. Free wireless fastest network and land line telephone with unlimited local and national long distance. Cable and Internet TV, 4 Flat screens, 47", 42", 32" and 26" with BluRay DVD players, Netflix, Hulu Plus. Movie collection, board games, cards, binoculars, etc.

We had a lovely stay in Vina del Mar at Francisco and Jan's apartment. Everything was as expected, and the views and light are outrageous. The apartment is well equipped, spacious and perfectly situated by the ocean and for excursions into Valparaiso, by light rail, bus or taxi. We had the opportunity to meet Francisco and Jan in person, and they gave us good neighborhood information and were very responsive. We enjoyed exploring Vina and Valpo, but it was hard to peel ourselves away from the endless views. Thank you to Francisco and Jan for a great experience.
There were four adults in our party and this apartment was perfect. We realize how lucky we were to stay at this apartment. It was warm and inviting from the first step in the door. First you are greeted by Angela, the housekeeper, who shows you around the apartment. Fresh flowers and fruit greeted us on the table. The view is spectacular. The accommodations wonderful. The apartment is clean and very well maintained. It has all the amenities of home and then some. There is a washer and dryer which came in very handy. The beds are very comfortable and we slept very well. The sunsets over the ocean are spectacular. The building is secured and the staff at the desk were always pleasant and friendly. We took the Metro which is located close to the apartment and took Ubers easily around town. You will not be disappointed if you reserve this apartment.
We had five adults stay in this place in mid October (2016) and it was perfect! The unit was exactly the way it was described, and the views from the apartment were breathtaking (even better than the pictures). The host onsite (Angela) met us on arrival and was very cordial, pleasant, and helpful. She even brought flowers to welcome us to Chile. We used public transit for most of our stay, and this place is located just a few blocks from the Metro trains and the bus system. We also arranged to use the car one day, which was terrific. The building itself is clean, well-kept, and secure. We appreciated the kitchen, the washer/dryer, and the very comfortable beds that were in this apartment. We talked to Francisco (the owner) a couple times while planning our trip and arranging for the use of the car, and he was gracious and accommodating from beginning to end. The hospitality we experienced on this trip was wonderful. We highly recommend this apartment!
We stayed at this beautiful apartment in the middle of July, and it was fabulous. For most of the visit, there were 5 of us (two couples and one teenager), and for several days it was just the three of us. Francisco’s place was perfect for both of these combinations. As someone who has stayed at many places that don’t look at all like the pictures, I can assure you that this place looks even better than the photos, which is hard to imagine, but true! Francisco has thought of every single detail to make this place fantastic. The internet was wonderful (15MB down, 2MB up) and allowed me to use my VOIP to make crisp phone calls to the US with no annoying delays or echos. The sheets, pillows, and beds were absolutely amazing – he must have brought those in from somewhere else, because I have never slept on sheets like that in Chile. The master bedroom was particularly heavenly, with a wonderful view from the bed AND reflected in the mirror. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could imagine, and we used the kitchen early and often to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And the living area is absolutely incredible. Although I had to work the entire time I was there, the views from the dining room, living room, and the enclosed terrace were breathtaking and made working almost enjoyable! The heating kept us toasty warm on the cold days and at night, and we were able to open the windows and let the breeze come through on warmer days. Angela, the caretaker, gave us a detailed orientation to the apartment when we arrived and was attentive to our questions while we were there. Although the apartment is not located in Vina del Mar proper, this is actually a benefit, as it keeps you away from all of the congestion and hustle and bustle and allows you to truly relax. We walked and took collectivos into downtown Vina del Mar, and both were very acceptable options, depending on whether we wanted a bit of exercise or were going to be loaded down with groceries. We had amazing seafood, some of which we bought from the vendor down the street. Francisco is a great host, attentive to all the details from start to finish -- including fresh fruit and flowers on arrival and speedy return of deposit after departure. You truly get what you pay for here. Although the rates are higher, they are definitely worth it for the experience. We will be back, that much I know! Thank you again Francisco for a wonderful time!
Our multigenerational family of five stayed for three nights at the start of Chile's winter season. The weather was wonderful, warm and sunny. The apartment has central heating, was spotless, and is equipped with every accessory you could ask for. The property manager, Angela, was lovely and helpful and even outfitted the apartment with fresh fruit and flowers for our arrival. The indoor secure parking spot for our rental car was a huge convenience. Vina del Mar was the perfect home base for trips to Valparaiso and Isla Negra. Francisco, the owner, was prompt and professional and has an infectious enthusiasm for this beautiful paradise by the Pacific. We felt like we were home the minute we arrived and would go back in a heartbeat. We highly recommend this property to travelers of all ages, book your flight and go now!
My family of 6 stayed in the apartment for 8 nights in March - our kids are teenage to young adults. We were visiting our daughter who is studying there this semester. It was a perfect location, easily accessible to Vina and Valpo, quick walk to the bus, the beach, and a convenient corner with a bread store, pizza place, pharmacy, small grocery store, a coffee shop, bakery, and other small vegetable & fruit stands as well as a few small restaurants. Absolutely all we needed within walking distance. The apartment is equipped with literally EVERYTHING you could possibly need such as every small kitchen appliance and utensil, laundry facilities, extra linens, towels, spices, cleaning supplies, TV, radio, Netflix and electrical outlet converters. Francisco was so very helpful while planning our trip, and even arranged for travel from the airport to the apartment. We were lucky enough to meet Francisco and his wife, Jan, who are amazingly kind people, and they take great pride in this apartment and its upkeep and cleanliness. I would highly recommend this apartment to anybody interested in staying in the area, as it would accommodate any type of group, whether you have small children, a girls getaway, a romantic adventure, you name it - it's PERFECT. I didn't even mention the view! - WOW!
Viña del Mar, commonly called just Viña, was developed in the 1870s as an exclusive residential and summer area for Chile's well-to-do. It is still that, but has evolved into Chile's premiere seaside resort, often called Chile's Riviera.
Viña del Mar offers all the amenities of a resort city:luxurious estates, including the summer home of the President of Chile, waterfront hotels, parks and gardens, social clubs, a municipal casino and theater, sport facilities, beaches, golf tennis, horse racing, lively nightlife, fine dining, and easy access to the nearby beaches and resort towns of Zapallar, Concon, Cachagua, and the fast-growing and hugely popular town of Reñaca.
