Fairview House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Queen sofa bed1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Enjoy views of Moores Pond and Little Pisgah Mountain from this 2 bedroom/one bath Guest House. Recently remodeled, your vacation retreat has a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, wood floor in the living area, central air/heat, and a wood-burning fireplace. Amenities include WiFi, satellite and cable TV, AM/FM, CD, DVD, VCR, Gas outdoor grill, outdoor furniture. A two acre pond is ready for canoeing, sitting and enjoying watching herons and a variety of birds, or feeding the resident Mallards. There are miles of hiking trails in the woods on this 50-acre property, from moderate to strenuous. An additional highlight is that this is a small working farm, with various crops growing in season and a small French Alpine dairy goat herd. Two of our five does had 5 kids in late March (19th and 20th), the other 3 does will kid in early May and early June.

Located in Fairview, only 11 miles southeast of Downtown Asheville (6 miles from city limits) and 6 miles from I-40 and the Blue Ridge Parkway, this private residence is in the country, yet very convenient to the many attractions of the area, including the Biltmore Estate, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock State Park, and (of course) the mountains with their spectacular views, waterfalls, and tourist attractions. Every season has its gifts, from summer festivals and craft fairs to fall color, winter holidays at the Biltmore House, and spring blossoms. There is an Amish Market (bakery, fresh eggs, and other goodies) next door...across the pasture.

Charming, experience the Nature (God's Hand) and the Hospitality.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice and beauty, and we can see the people of the entire community care about nature and animals, as well is their hospitality.

Very peaceful place, and everything is close to the property .. including going to down town, and Sierra Nevada.

Beer everywhere... all flavors and sizes ... we notice all restaurants have beer and many do their own... but all family type, and we did not see drunk people not either scandals. We are invited to come back, to the same house, and finally enjoy the glass of wine with Chuck and Sarah. Hope they enjoy the gift Bottle of wine we left at the dinning table.

Thank you very much. and see you soon

God Bless

Very Nice Property

  • 5 of 5

Had a nice time here. Great for our dog and hanging with the goats was a lot of fun. The walk to Troyer's market is quick and easy. Great little store. Easy drive into downtown Asheville as well.

Extended Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Moores Pond Farm. The home, itself, was nicely accommodated, clean and charming. The farm was the added bonus. Chuck and Sarah were very friendly hosts, allowing us to wander about on the farm, feed chickens and enjoy the view from the pond while hanging out with their little tribe of goats, cats and even a friendly guard llama. We were just a quick jaunt into downtown Asheville, where we enjoyed great restaurants, breweries and local shopping. We would most definitely stay here again and recommend it whole-heartily to anyone looks for a peaceful, natural and relaxing getaway. *Ask first, but the chickens love fresh watermelon rinds for a snack.

Nicely kept little house on a farm beautifully set in rolling hills. Accommodating hosts and friendly goats! An easy drive into Asheville or surrounding area.

A true country experience convenient to Asheville

  • 5 of 5

This is a property we would like to do again. The guest house was nicely appointed with everything we wanted. There were some very nice antiques but nothing so precious as to make us feel uncomfortable. The kitchen was beautiful. Best of all was the setting. We enjoyed the goats and my husband loved the hiking trails. I also enjoyed passing by the owners' lovely flower garden. We love seeing the Asheville attractions but like to stay in the country. This was an ideal place for us and we had a great time.

Beautiful site, friendly folks

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and very nicely appointed. The kitchen is well-equipped and very up-to-date. We enjoyed meeting Dr. Campbell, who was very amiable and helpful. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Sarah in person, but when we talked with her by phone, she was quite pleasant and courteous. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.
