Great get away!
This is a beautiful and peaceful cabin. I loved feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. The hot tub was easy to fill, maintain, and drain and completely worth the little work and time to get it going! The master suite is really nice and private! The kitchen is big and equipped for cooking meals. This cabin is close to downtown Robinsville and the local Ingles grocery store and so much more! This is a “dry” county and we did not know this. Ha! Bring your adult drinks or you can maybe find a resort that will sell to you. The other option is going to a close by county that does sell booze. Tom outlines all of this in his awesome welcome book! Definitely read it! Tons of great information! The one other thing to know is that the drive way/road way up to the cabin is very very steep and narrow. We really enjoyed our stay and we really loved this cabin! Thank you Tom and Faye for having us!
We enjoyed every aspect of this vacation home. We were out and about every day of our vacation, and at the end of each adventurous day, we were able to relax and enjoy the amenities of the home. The kitchen was clean with excellent equipment. The beds were exceptionally comfortable for a vacation home. The large downstairs bedroom has outstanding accommodations. The TV and stereo systems were very nice. We all appreciated the hot tub and enjoyed some time around the fire pit. The young people made sure the squirrels and birds were fed with the supplies provided. We had one day when the WiFi was not working, but the owner was responsive and the problem was very easily resolved. Be prepared that cell phones will probably not work anywhere near the home, but there is a landline, which we were able to use for local calls to make reservations etc. There are MANY maps and brochures for the surrounding area available in the home.
The owners were available prior to and during our vacation to answer our questions and respond to our concerns. They are knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provided helpful information to make our trip successful. Almost anything you might want to do is available within a short drive from the home. We spent time in the national park, hiking in the national forests and the park, zip-lining, white water rafting, a trail ride, and plenty of fishing and swimming.
The driveway was a bit steeper than we anticipated, but we had no problems with AWD and FWD vehicles, even in the rain.
Thanks to the owners for providing a home with plenty of creature comforts to come home to at the end of every eventful day of our vacation!!
For cell phone service, guests must adjust settings on their phone to wi-fi and enter wi-fi code provided in the welcome book.
Nice private cabin, great value.
would love to come again..
Beautiful comfortable wonderful cabin!
We absolutely loved this cabin! So cozy and comfy! Everything worked great! Loved the tucked away privacy! Hope to stay again!
Wonderful, clean, and peaceful
We had such a nice time at this cabin. It was like a serene treehouse. It was very clean when we arrived and VERY well stocked with kitchen supplies. The hot tub was easy to figure out and was a nice way to relax. We spent a lot of our time in nearby Nantahala and Deep Creek in Bryson City. We would love to rent this cabin again sometime.
Had a wonderful stay
This cabin is wonderful! We had a great stay. We had smores and hot chocolate by the fire pit, enjoyed the hot tub, and just had a nice relaxing time. My 9 year old daughter is a natural born nurturer and loved watching the squirrels eat the corn. We would definitely stay here again!
