wedding celebration

  • 5 of 5

this is our second stay at the DeCarli House. since our last stay 2 1/2 years ago, we have found this home even more comfortable with some recent changes! (outside seating, larger patio area and grill) this is a great place for friends and family gatherings but is also a comfortable place to recoup and resume the many activities of the area. Chris is readily available but does not impose. The two couples staying with us, also enjoyed the many amenities - well equipped kitchen, large family style dining table and the relaxing outdoor seating. this was a special time for us as our son, neil and his fiance, kimi were married in the area!

Fantastic Place!

  • 5 of 5

Some girlfriends and I rented this place for a week in September because it caught our eye while looking for a place to stay in the Wine Country. We absolutely loved this house! As other reviews have mentioned, the design and overall feel of the DeCarli House is something special. The attention to detail is spot on: everything from the presentation and cleanliness to the furniture and music/movie collection. (They even had a nice acoustic guitar available along with a tung drum.) The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and well-presented. The kitchen had everything we could imagine. The hostess, Chris, was unbelievably friendly and turned us on to some great wineries, local restaurants and unique backroad travels. She also left us a great bottle of wine, fresh cut flowers, a loaf of amazing bread and some locally-roasted coffee. I honestly have to say this was the best vacation rental I've ever had the pleasure of staying at...we all agreed to make this a regular destination. Truly remarkable.

Myself, my husband and our two girls (13 and 16) stayed here for two weeks last Aug. This house was perfect for us. It was spotless and so well maintained. The owners were very easy to deal with, the process was hassle free. Restaurants etc are less than a 10 min walk. I highly recommend this house and would stay here again.

Treat yourself to style and relaxation!!!

You will love staying at this home!!!

We loved everything about our stay. From the owner Chris, who was helpful and accessible (she made sure everything was ready for our arrival--even left us a bottle of wine--sweet!) to the design of the home, the attention to detail made our visit to Petaluma one we will always remember!

Our group of six had more than enough room to spread out in the two living areas. The kitchen is a cook's dream that provided all the necessary equipment and supplies to make gourmet meals easy.

Eco-friendly living--didn't think it could be this good! The home is as lovely as it looks in the photos. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and great entertainment media. Despite the weather being warm for March, the home was quite comfortable due to the many windows throughout the house, which provided cooling cross-ventilation.

We were going to use the bicycles the owners provided the last morning of our stay, but we spent the time relaxing, talking, listening to jazz cd's and sipping coffee in front of the living room fireplace--why leave?!

Beautiful & Modern Getaway Home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the DeCarli House for 4 days in September. The pictures are spot on! The house is clean, bright, airy and immaculate! The area is quiet and close to everything you need.

Chris and Greg left wonderful instructions for everything. There were bicycles that were available to use around town. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were divine, the place was really clean, they had a great CD collection and DVD collection and TV and sound system. The gas fireplace was lovely to turn on, relax and have a glass of wine. We would put in everything from Stevie Wonder to the Foo Fighters and got ready for our nights out. The bathrooms are roomy and spacious.

There are multiple lounge areas so you never feel overcrowded. A large dining table for family feasts! Wonderful kitchen with all the amenities that you would need!

I would highly recommend the DeCarli House and would love to stay there again on my next trip up to Northern California.

Seriously, People. This Place is AMAZING!

  • 5 of 5

This house is go beautiful and comfortable!

"What?," you exclaim?

Yes, a work of art that is actually very functional and comfortable, not to mention very well appointed. We're talkin' FULL kitchen; organic bedding and beds themselves; handmade custom furniture; a great DVD collection; and a responsive owner, if you should have any questions.

Sorry to have missed you, Chris. Next time, better planning on my part. I felt so lucky the house was even available, and it was great to see Greg!

People out there, just STAY HERE! That's all I can really say. You'll be glad you did!
